Chapter 467: He's Gone
"Karma finally caught up to them"
*****
Monk immediately checked the time on his watch and saw that they still had sufficient time to escape, following that, he finally turned his attention to another matter and turned his head towards the direction of where John Wick and the others were hiding.
"Any plans about them?"
"Ohh, so this is where the remaining survivors have gone. I thought they escaped down the mountain" Sun Bin chuckled when she turned towards the direction of where Monk was pointing at.
"Ekkk!"
"W-we're dead!"
The surviving guests all started panicking in fear, and those with weak wills even started crying when they felt that their death was nigh.
Sun Bin ignored them and turned her attention back towards Monk and said, "You leave first, I'll take care of the aftermath here"
Raising an eyebrow, Monk, in concern said, "This is not the plan, we leave together"
"No need to worry anymore, it seems like this gathering was convened in a hurry. They don't even have that many guards than we expected them to have. It's just that I actually didn't expect that it would actually go this well though, and it allowed me to be able to make some slight changes to the plans while you were busy down here. Right, I've already called someone reliable who will take care of this for us."
"If I leave now, what about the squad of soldiers that was dispatched here?" asked Monk with a solemn expression.
"Don't worry about it, instead, that General Lee should instead worry on how he'll escape getting Court Martialed for helping foreign enemies" Sun Bin smiled coldly.
"Alright, I'll see you at the inn then" saying those words, Monk started making his ways up the stairs, but then he suddenly remembered something so he slowed down in his steps and said for Sun Bin to hear, "Right, don't forget to take their valuables from their vault, if they have one"
"I know, I know, just go" Sun Bin looked up to him while shooing him away with her hand.
Suddenly, the now widowed woman rushed out from their hiding place while yelling angrily as she rushed towards John Wick with a ferocious expression like she wanted to bite him off to death.
"This..this stupid woman!"
"Follow her! T-there's more of us, and dying while fighting for your life is better than a dog's death!"
"St..stop! Are you guys fools!? You're gonna die! We can always negotiate!"
"Did you think these people would spare our lives after we have seen their faces?!"
Except for the chubby man, everyone had gone mad and charged towards John Wick and Sun Bin!
Choosing not to do something so foolish and staying behind, the chubby man thought 'What the hell? How did these people even reach their positions?! Do they think having more numbers gives them an advantage? Are they blind!? Did they not see how that man from earlier had easily dispatched those guards of the two Patriarchs!? And they were just crying like sissies earlier! This is madness!'
Sun Bin looked at the people charging towards them with an amused expression and said, "This is your problem, take care of them, but don't kill them. They're still of some use"
"What? Why am I..the informant doing this dirty work?"
Though he was complaining, John Wick still followed her orders and started cracking his knuckles while walking as he intended to meet the angry mob head on.
"Die you traitorous bastard!
The widowed woman whacked a wrench from god knows she had picked it up from towards John Wick's head.
John Wick just weaved his head back to dodge the attack, and with a flash of light, he chopped the base of her neck from the side and her eyes immediately rolled back as she helplessly fell down on the ground, along with a clang of the wrench.
"I told you to only subdue them! Why did you kill her!?"
"Don't worry, I controlled my strength well!"
John Wick yelled back in reply while he kneed the man on his stomach, then a left hook to the chin towards the person following behind the former, and then..
Long story short, John Wick had easily subdued all of his attackers, and now all of them are lying on the ground, either unconscious or curled up while holding their stomach in pain.
"There, done, though why go through the trouble of keeping them alive? When we could have just instead killed them so we can avoid any of the subsequent troubles if they're alive?"
