Flying Dust [Fei Chen]
Chapter 46
“Sect Master?” Yu Jin frowned.
“Protector Yu has worked hard, you should go and rest well first.” Jun Wushuang said with a thin smile.
After Yu Jin left, Jun Wushuang summoned Leng Yufang and told her to send a group of people secretly to Xi Yu (the Western Region) to spread the news that Mo Fei Chen had been taken away by Kemoluo for the purpose to control He Yunfeng. If He Yunfeng and Wen Qian Liu joined forces to fight against Bai Xue Cult, Mo Fei Chen would become Kemoluo’s trump card to threaten He Yunfeng.
Leng Yufang asked, “Didn’t you not want He Yunfeng to join forces with Wen Qian Liu?”
“I don’t know if he will ally with Wen Qian Liu or not, but he definitely will go to Bai Xue Cult. No matter what kind of fight he has with Kemoluo, I won’t be at a disadvantage (suffer loss).” Jun Wushuang turned around and walked towards the deep corridor.
At dinner time, he carried the food box to the cottage where Mo Fei Chen lived.
When he pushed the door in, he saw Mo Fei Chen sitting beside the table, fiddling with some branches or something like that.
“What are you doing?” Jun Wushuang put the food box down and moved his face over. Mo Fei Chen, who did not know whether it was intentional or not, ran his finger across the top of the branch and flicked it, almost cutting Jun Wushuang’s face.
Mo Fei Chen was dumbfounded, waiting for Jun Wushuang’s reaction but the other side only slowly pulled the branch out of his hand.
“Look how careless you are, what if you stabbed yourself in the eye?” Jun Wushuang lifted up a butterfly frame made from branches on the table and lifted it up to look at it, “This looks like a kite… Fei Chen, are you making a kite? When I was a kid, I played with my fellow senior martial sister at Xiushui Palace. It’s been such a long time since I’ve seen something like this!”
Mo Fei Chen was shocked by the radiance in the other person’s eyes. He didn’t understand why someone like Jun Wushuang would have such pure and innocent eyes? He really wished that he didn’t show such an expression, so that he wouldn’t have gone soft hearted, therefore he could say without the slightest care at all, ‘Do you know why I made this kite?’
I want to put it on a high sky so that people outside know that I am here.
“Why didn’t you put any painting on it?”
Mo Fei Chen pursed his lips and didn’t say anything.
“Ah I got it, this needs Xuan paper, you can’t find it, right?” Jun Wushuang turned around and found an inkstone, a writing brush and Xuan paper from the cupboard. He gently lifted his cuffs, revealing his elegantly curved wrists and began to rub an ink stick against an inkstone; make ink for brush writing in a circular motion.
Mo Fei Chen looked at him as his interest suddenly became flagging and more impatient.
Seeing the pursed smile on Jun Wushuang’s lips, Mo Fei Chen could only feel something rising up in his chest. Jun Wushuang had already picked up a writing brush and was drawing on Xuan paper. Mo Fei Chen took that piece of paper, tore it up and smashed it into a ball on the table, then looked at his opponent.
Jun Wushuang had no expression, but took another piece of paper instead and drew two beautiful arcs with his brush. Mo Fei Chen just reached out and tore it up again.
After several rounds of this, the paper on the table was piled up to a mountain..
When Jun Wushuang laid the last piece of paper on the table and drew a shape with his brush, Mo Fei Chen gritted his teeth and stretched his hands out again.
He didn’t know what he was being persistent about. Perhaps making a kite was his own pleasure, he didn’t need or want Jun Wushuang’s participation.
Besides that, what Jun Wushuang was being persistent about, Mo Fei Chen also didn’t know, so why didn’t he get angry and be furious (lose one temper)? Isn’t he so domineering (overbearing in ruling by force) by keeping himself here? Why did he lose his imposing manner now?
“This is already the last piece of paper, so I really want to finish drawing it.” Jun Wushuang stopped and grabbed Mo Fei Chen’s wrist.
Mo Fei Chen’s fingers trembled, but he finally turned around, pushed the door open and ran out.
He hadn’t eaten dinner, but surprisingly, he didn’t feel hungry at all. The surface of the water was undisturbed, no waves, Mo Fei Chen took a breath…when he was pinned down to the bed by that guy, he obviously didn’t want to cry as he is right now.
The night gradually became completely dark.
Jun Wushuang carried that paper kite out and came to Mo Fei Chen’s face, “Look, how is it (what do you think)?”
“It’s really ugly (ugly to the death).” Mo Fei Chen waved his hand, but he didn’t expect that the paper kite would drift into the puddle just like that, slowly soaking through the water and sinking.
Mo Fei Chen froze, his heart sank with that paper kite, the force was so big that it seemed to drag all his thoughts in with it.
The paper was soon soaked by the water, and the butterfly-shaped branches soon floated up again.
He stretched out his hands, but in the end, he still stood there.
Jun Wushuang who beside him knelt down and tilted his body towards the pond water, pulling the butterfly up.
“The butterfly was still break at the end…” He brought the butterfly in front of Mo Fei Chen, his face still smiling as before, unable to see any anger or sadness, but Mo Fei Chen became sad and found it difficult to bear.
“You keep it to yourself if you like it.” He felt like he could not stand being together with Jun Wushuang anymore, so he turned around and walked towards the bedroom.
He sat down in front of the table as Jun Wushuang also entered the room.
“What do you want to eat tomorrow?”
Mo Fei Chen laughed in his heart, why did he feel that this guy had nothing to please him (curry a favor with him) besides food?
“There’s nothing I especially want to eat.” If you let me out, I feel that everything I eat is good. [ If you let me out, I feel like eating anything is just fine.]
“Then tomorrow, what else do you want?” Jun Wushuang leaned over and sat beside him.
Mo Fei Chen took a long breath, wanting to say that If I want freedom, will you give it to me? But such words were also unnecessary. Instead of upsetting Jun Wushuang and making him angry, since he was destined to be locked up here anyway, he might as well spend it happier.
“Xuan paper [a high quality paper made in Xuancheng (宣城) in Anhui Province, esp. good for traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy], thin bamboo strips used for weaving, candles and also wine.”
Mo Fei Chen said and then used his shoulder to push Jun Wushuang away, reaching out to take the writing brush and inkstone over.
“Okay, I’ll bring it to you tomorrow.” Jun Wushuang suddenly kissed Mo Fei Chen on the cheek.
