'You can do it!' Shane thought.
This was probably the first time he was looking forward to the success of the Zombies. Shane couldn't help but chuckle at this thought.
Nonetheless, since he was also planning to conquer this Shelter, he really wanted to see everything it got! He even wanted to see the Wild Necromancer itself to get into action.
'Do they only have a single Automated Turret? Are there more?' Shane mused as he looked at the Shelter's next move against the horde of Zombies encroaching in.
If two more Automated Turrets suddenly sprang up, then he would surely leave this Shelter alone. He'd return and attack this Shelter once he had gained more access to the Anima Store and obtained incredible pieces of machinery or mechanical weapons.
Graahhhh~
Yet, before the Zombies could reach the walls of the Shelter, the other defenses it had were finally revealed.
Familiar traps concealed beneath the soil sprang to life, ensnaring the Jumper Zombies in a web of steel and spikes.
Meanwhile, strategically placed mines detonated in a series of thunderous explosions, sending shockwaves rippling through the group of Jumper Zombies.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
'Mines, huh... As long as I managed to enter, I should probably be fine from this threat.' Shane sighed. He couldn't help but want to have explosive mines as well. His desire to obtain the resources of this shelter and the reward from the system was getting stronger and stronger.
This Shelter was simply too good. If he also looted the Necromancy and controlled numerous undead creatures, then it would be perfect. Just imagining being able to command soldiers that didn't fear death, he knew it would be an incredible experience.
However, he knew that it would not be easy.
In a matter of moments, the threat posed by the Spitter Zombies and Jumper Zombies was decisively neutralized.
In the end, the Shelter stood unscathed... Aside from the Spitter Zombie's long-range Spit Attack, they didn't manage to do much...
"Only those in the Top 20 could be such one."
"Let's return and report this matter to boss... I'm sure he'll be happy."
"Not yet... Let's observe and gather more information. The boss will ask more about it once we return. It's better if we could answer his questions."
Everyone agreed with the scout who spoke, and soon, they moved separately to investigate before returning to their meet-up place.
They observed towering walls, sturdy watchtowers, the residents who were working tirelessly just outside the walls to lay foundation for the next buildings, and bustling activity within the compound made them truly impressed.
While they were searching for a better Shelter, this one was already expanding!
Soon, they gathered up, and they all couldn't believe what they'd found out. After an hour of observation with their Scouting Skills, they realized that the Shelter several advanced weapons like Rifles, Machine Gun, and there was even someone who had a pet dragon and was training it to breathe fire!
"That woman with the Dragon must be the Shelter Owner." One of the scouts said. They all agreed to this since they knew that it was definitely a Dragon... If someone could have that, they would certainly deserve to possess such a shelter.
Soon, the scouts returned to their base to make a report.
In a small tent that was currently set up beside a huge tree, the scouts looked at the man in front of them with reverence.
This person was the one they called boss in the field. He was clad in weather-worn leather armor and bearing the scars of countless battles. Nonetheless, they knew that this armor was an Epic One and was still working greatly if compared to lower-grade items.

"Sir Tundra, we've discovered a potential shelter northwest of here," the scout reported, his voice tinged with a note of excitement. "It seems well-fortified, with a population of about 50 and watchtowers guarding its perimeter. It will be a perfect shelter for us once we take over."
Sir Tundra, a man of few words but decisive actions, nodded thoughtfully as he mulled over the scout's report.
'A pet Dragon, huh... It might be difficult, but not too much... We could also try to negotiate first and do it inside their Shelter... and if they didn't like our offer, we could attack them from the inside while the others will attack from the outside.' Tundra gently nodded as he started thinking of various methods to take the Shelter for his.
