Tundra, the leader of the small group of Survivors, was a careful person. After all, according to the previous rankings in the Region 1 Survivors Leaderboard, he was only ranked 87. There were tens of people stronger than him...
Nonetheless, that rank, with tens of thousands of them, was certainly among the top. Because of that, he knew that as long as he was careful and had properly assessed his target, he shouldn't get into big trouble.
'Just like before, we just have to properly assess their strength and we will be fine.' Tundra thought to himself. Although the Shelter Owner was probably in the top 20, he knew that their difference in level shouldn't be that big and as long as he employed proper strategies, he should be fine.
He had rugged features, but he still had great and flawless skin... It seemed that it was related to him being a high level Survivor or it was also related to his Skill or Talent. He was also wearing his Survivor Set, but they were all Tier 3 already.
After considering it for a while, he made up his mind to investigate the newfound Shelter personally. Although his friends and other subordinates were reliable, in terms of appraising or detecting the strength of fellow survivors, he could be considered the best.
"Gather the others. We shall approach this Shelter under the cover of dusk..." Sir Tundra commanded, his voice carrying the weight of authority born from experience.
"Once Jillian and I entered the estate, wait for the signal flare to attack. If there's no signal flare, do not do anything unnecessary. Let us tread cautiously. We cannot afford to repeat the mistakes of the past." He added.
The others were certainly confident that they could take over the Shelter. They had recently obtained weapons from their store and also some decent rewards after the Zombie Wave.
However, they all still listened to Tundra since they knew about the Talent of their leader.
[ Terrorist ( Epic Talent ): Survivor Terrorist possesses a chilling ability to plant invisible bombs on those they touch. The strength of these invisible bombs is directly tied to the level of expertise and experience that the Terrorist have acquired as a Survivor. The higher the level, the more devastating the explosive power contained within.
[ Famous Bard ( Epic Talent ): A Survivor who wields the power of music and storytelling to inspire allies, manipulate emotions, and cast magical effects through their performances. Their melodic tunes can heal wounds, boost morale, or even charm enemies.
Famous Bard's captivating performances not only entertain but also provide strategic benefits in combat and diplomacy, making them a unique and valuable addition to any survivor group. ]
With such a talent, Tundra knew that as long as they were able to obtain a safe shelter like the one in front of them, they would be able to survive this Apocalypse with a lot more ease.
As they neared the shelter, a sudden glint of metal caught their attention, and they found themselves in the sight of a crossbow aimed from the watchtower above.
'Alright... Good response...' Tundra thought as this was what he had expected.
Despite the lethal threat posed by the weapon, the fact that it did not unleash its deadly payload signaled a willingness to engage in dialogue rather than bloodshed. Everything was going according to his plan as of the moment.
Tundra's heart quickened with the thrill of the unexpected opportunity that lay before them. After clearing his throat, he immediately announced his presence...
"We come in peace, seeking aid in our time of need," Tundra called out, his voice carrying a note of sincerity. He had to appear genuine. Thankfully, he had done this a few times already.
"Our supplies are dwindling, and we humbly ask for your assistance. We may not have many Zombie Cores we could use to pay you, but in return, we offer our skills and labor to contribute to the well-being of your community. Please, consider helping us... If it's not possible, please allow us to rest in the safety of your walls. I promise you that we'll leave the next day in the morning..."
He knew that this worked every time since if they were kind, they would be allowed to enter, but if not, they would still be allowed to enter to get robbed or killed. It was a gamble, but he was confident since his Talent was simply that great.
