Chapter 125: The Captain

The pool shimmered with a red glow and then seconds later it exploded as thousands of small blood whip cut upward. Each individual whip is weak but thousands of them and in such a close tight space?

It's an explosion that can eat through anything!

And the whole pool exploded with such force everyone stopped fighting as the shockwave rippled upward. The ceiling and roof collapsed inward and then.... turned to dust when the thousands blades cut into it.

"Are you still breathing?"

"Ye..s." Thayer answer, he was still standing in the pool but his armor and most of his clothes is gone.

His eyes are wide as the looked up at the moon shining down on him. He's spent some hundred millions just to keep himself from getting killed– that's how expensive the armor he was wearing cost. "That almost killed me."

"It was made to kill." Blood Necromancer turned his back on Thayer. "Forget it, maybe it's because it's been a while I fight but that wasn't my way but still, it was fun to see what I can do with blood."

He paused and flashed a smile. "Answer my call, fourth captain!"

They answered quickly, hands reached out from the blood pool and climbed up as if they were reaching out on solid ground. The Captain is an Orc and he brought his soldiers with him.

Thayer grimaced. "Oh come on!" He has very little magic left and the only weapon he have right now is the sword he's holding, the one with black magic.

But that's not his main problem, Kaelith is now making his way towards the portal. Thayer didn't know how much time have passed and if the portal is activated yet.

The guest Awakeners groaned, because why don't Kaelith kill Thayer before the Tower Guards get here? Things just become very complicated for then.

"You're here, Ryker! See, I get everything on the time recording artifact." He was standing on his big golem and it moved towards the Captain where Thayer threw something small towards him.

The Captain caught it and his smile only grow, now his promotion is certain. This...is more than he could wish for. "Then I will carry out the laws of the Tower."

Thayer commanded his golem to pick up a man lying down and he looked down at Lord Owen. "I'm sure this wasn't what you expected when you are dressing tonight."

The man managed a shaky smile. "At all."

"Then let us get out the way of two powerful silver ranks." The golem moved to the corner towards the door where all Thayer's remaining artifact gathered.

"Now we watch, and wait."

A flash of bright light and then boom! The room shook.

"Why are you butting in, Ryker! This is a matter of the Chaos Cult, do you know what you are doing!" He was standing atop a worm that ran swiftly on the ground.

Two undead mage flew beside him and at his command they threw fire and lightning at the Captain. But the man is a stubborn bastard and followed them around the room, cutting any attacks sent his way with his sword.

"Ah! But we leave you alone because there's no evidence! But you are different, Kaelith. You don't have the support of your cult, they won't clean up the mess for you! And you went after an Argent, are you really that stupid! Come here, be my promotion!"
