Chapter 339 The Growing Doubt (Part 4)

Nysora took a deep breath, preparing to provide a clear explanation. ''Mell, you witnessed it yourself. He effortlessly toyed with a D-Rank Region Boss as if it were child's play, right before our eyes. And not only that, he single-handedly defeated the second Region Boss and a team of ten without us even realizing it.''

''And let's not forget these spirit beasts,'' Arora chimed in. The fact that Raydon could command the enemy team's spirit beasts as if they were his own remained a baffling mystery.

''So what?'' Mell retorted, still failing to grasp the significance behind these achievements. To her, they only showcased Raydon's immense power.

However, Nysora's next words shed light on the underlying concern.

''Don't you find it astonishing that someone like him emerged from a humble family like ours? When was the last time you saw an E-Rank, level 1 item holder singlehandedly slay a Region Boss?''

Mell froze, her mind grappling with the implications of Nysora's statement.

''I doubt even a prestigious Grand Family could produce someone like him, let alone our weak family,'' Nysora continued, her gaze fixed on Mell's stunned expression.

Raydon's abilities went beyond what his title could adequately explain. The techniques he displayed were beyond the scope of someone raised in a small family like theirs.

''So, what do you think? Who is he?'' Mell finally broke free from her stupor and uttered.

Nysora contemplated for a moment and proceeded to share her thoughts. ''There are only two possibilities that I can think of.

Firstly, he may not have any true familial ties to our family. It is conceivable that he was created by merging the bloodlines of multiple grand families. Our family could have been entrusted with his upbringing in order to keep him under the radar until he has matured enough to avoid drawing unwanted attention.''

''Holy... If that's true...'' Mell was suddenly shocked to hear this explanation, which made sense. If this was indeed the case, it would explain all of Raydon's abilities.

Due to the fact that ruling families and organizations have always put their own needs first, the concept of undertaking such a project was unheard of in the past. But just because it wasn't heard of doesn't mean it couldn't have happened.

''In other words, if this is true, young master Raydon is the living proof of what could be achieved if all the power structures in our world were to combine their strengths and resources to create a new generation.'' Elysia's voice, usually devoid of emotion, revealed her excitement.

''He is about to reach the target,'' Arora informed them, breaking the silence of their contemplation.

''Well, enough speculation. If there is something we need to know, Ms. Diam will explain it to us after the match. For now, let's focus on our tasks.''

''Keep a close watch on his fight and don't miss any details. We will report everything to the family later.'' Nysora instructed Arora, and then she too started running.

Regardless of their speculations, they still had their mission to fulfill, which included carrying Raydon's loot.

''Achoo...''

''What the hell? Do high races catch colds too?'' Raydon muttered as he sprinted towards his target, his naked body exposed to the elements. Perched on his shoulder was a black cat with wings, gripping tightly to avoid falling off.

Raydon had already been running for some time in the direction indicated by Arora, solely relying on his movement technique the entire time. Even when he did not make use of the berserker technique, his speed was significantly higher than that of an average E-Rank.

After running for some time, he turned his gaze to the black cat and asked, ''Where are they?''

Since he wanted to conserve mana and didn't want to rely on his Death Sense skill unnecessarily, he decided to seek information from the cat, knowing that it had a mind bond with Arora and the other cats.

Although he wasn't entirely certain he would receive an answer, to his surprise, the cat released one of its paws that had been tightly gripping his shoulder and pointed in a direction with its paw, struggling against the wind and doing its best not to fall off.

''Hahaha, perfect!'' Raydon chuckled with delight upon realizing the usefulness of the spirit beast. He continued running in the direction indicated.

''Hold on tightly. We're about to pick up speed.'' Raydon said with a smile as he accelerated even further towards his target.

''Mew...''

With a plaintive meow, the cat clung to Raydon's shoulder with both paws. Unlike Raydon, it was evident that the cat wasn't particularly thrilled with the increased speed.
