Chapter 140 - Mission Swap

Name:Help...My Wife is a Spy Author:Yunyi
"What are you doing?" Halia asked in surprise as Jackson closed the cubicle door. Fortunately, the bathroom was empty and no one saw them go in together.

Jackson looked at Halia dotingly and gently ran his fingers through her hair, sending tingles down her spine.

"I've missed you," he whispered seductively beside her ear.

Halia stretched her neck and closed her eyes at the sound of the man's voice. Why was he so charming?

"I feel uneasy seeing you with another man and not being able to tell the whole world that you're mine," Jackson frowned.

Halia looked at Jackson and shook her head. "Do I sense jealousy, Mr. Wu?" she teased as she hooked her arms around the man's neck.

"Did you forget what you promised me last night?" Jackson asked.

Halia looked at the man with confusion.

"You promised to kiss me every day," he said. "So, where's my kiss today?"

Jackson looked into Halia's eyes and saw the woman's cheeks flush red. Hadn't they already kissed before? Why did she look so shy? How could a woman be so adorable?

Halia bit her lip nervously and leaned forward. She then pressed her soft lips against his obediently.

Jackson loved the feeling of Halia's lips. No matter how many times she kissed him, he could never get enough, especially when it tasted different each time. Every time he saw them, he just wanted to taste them.

Today, her lips had the fragrant scent of high-quality Oolong tea from the teahouse outside.

"Mmm, tea," he whispered satisfyingly as he gently moved away.

Halia looked at the man. She couldn't get enough of this man's kisses either.

How could he move away before she was done?

"You came to the teahouse to taste some tea, didn't you? Well, this is the best way to experience it," she said seductively as she leaned forward again to kiss the man.

This time, she ran her tongue inside his mouth, sharing the fragrant flavor that she experienced earlier.

Jackson subconsciously ran his fingers up the woman's back, forcing her to let out a gasp of pleasure.

Jackson enjoyed this reaction, so he moved away from her lips and began to kiss her on the neck, hoping to please her more.

Halia leaned her head back, soaking in the intoxicating feeling that was being created by the man's lips. She had never felt this way before and it drove her crazy. Why did it feel so good?

Jackson observed Halia's every reaction. Every time she breathed harder or twisted her neck a little, he would follow her guidance to a different spot on her neck. Eventually, he traced his way down to her collar bone and stopped. If he went any further down, he would be entering forbidden territory and he didn't dare to go there until Halia allowed it. So, he moved back up to her lips and slowly moved away.

The woman looked into his eyes lovingly with satisfaction.

"If this is how it'll be every day, then life's pretty good," Jackson smiled.

Halia glanced away shyly.

She also thought the same.

At that moment, some footsteps could suddenly be heard in the bathroom. Someone else had entered.

Halia quickly looked at Jackson in a panic and Jackson gestured for her to remain calm.

The footsteps entered the cubicle next door and they heard the door shut.

But, just as they were about the sneak out before being discovered. They suddenly heard a tapping sound on the cubicle wall.

It was Morse code: 'are you done yet?'

They then heard a slight giggle.

Jackson immediately recognized the voice. It was Amelie.

"What are you doing in here?" he asked.

"I just got connected to Alexander in France and he's currently waiting on the phone for you," Amelie explained. "I didn't mean to disturb, but I'm sure you know how important this is."

Jackson quickly turned to Halia and told her briefly that Rawson was his old boss in Shanghai and was also the godfather of Carol Pang. He also revealed that Rawson had asked him to partake in some illegal money laundering.

Halia was surprised by how direct the old man was.

"Isn't he worried that you'd cause trouble if you knew what he was doing?" she asked.

"No, he knows I wouldn't. The gangs deal with traitors in harsher ways than you can imagine. If I was to leak a word, you would probably find my dead body floating down the Zhuhai River tomorrow."

At that moment, Halia received a message from Emerson: [my parents would like to have dinner with you again tonight. Are you free?]

Halia glanced at Jackson. He was providing her with so much useful information regarding the money laundering. The least she could do was interrogate his family a little too see if she could find the culprit that tried to kill him and his mother. So, she quickly replied to Emerson and agreed to meet him for dinner.

If Everett and Carol didn't want to kill Jackson, then there were only 5 people left on their suspect list: Jackson's father, Emerson, Emerson's mother, Auntie Lily and Jaclyn.

It was funny how things turned out. The couple didn't notice, but their aim to help each other somehow made them swap missions.
