Chapter 355 - Kiss Her More Often

Name:Help...My Wife is a Spy Author:Yunyi
Emerson arrived at the airport 2 hours early. Practically, the moment he arrived at Hong Kong airport, Avaleigh and Danson had just boarded their plane in Shanghai, but he didn't mind waiting. When he spoke to Avaleigh earlier, he could tell from her voice that something was wrong and it made him a little anxious, so he raced to the airport straight away. He had never worried about a person so much.

Did something go wrong with her audition? Or did something happen with her mother and father? Regardless of what it was, he wanted to be there to support her as soon as she stepped out of the airport.

Meanwhile, on the plane, Danson glanced at Avaleigh and noticed she had calmed down a little, so he finally asked, "Did something happen? Why are you in such a rush to get back to Hong Kong?"

Avaleigh bit her lip and laughed at herself. Now that she had a bit of time to calm down, she realized how impulsive she had been. But, she still had a question that bothered her.

"Danson, you've known Marissa and Emerson for a long time. Do you think Emerson still likes Marissa? If given the chance, do you think they will eventually end up together?" she asked straightforwardly. Avaleigh wasn't the kind to beat around the bush. If there was still something between Emerson and Marissa, then she didn't want to get in the way. She would rather leave Emerson and focus on her career like she had always done. After all, they had just started dating and had only shared one proper kiss. She could still back out before she fell too deep...

But, to her surprise, Danson burst into laughter. "Who told you that Emerson likes Marissa? He's never liked her! If they were to be together, it would have happened already."

Avaleigh looked at Danson in surprise, "But, Emerson said he had a crush on someone for over a decade. Isn't that Marissa?"

Danson laughed and shook his head, "Don't tell me this is the reason why you're rushing back all of a sudden.

Danson couldn't believe that Avaleigh was acting so impulsively, but he was also a little envious of Emerson. A beautiful young idol was actually jealous because of him. It seemed, all the hard work that Emerson had done behind-the-scenes was worth it this time. Last time he had put in a lot of effort to pursue Halia, but she ended up marrying his brother. This time, his efforts did not go to waste.

With a smile, he said comfortingly, "Trust me, as his friend, I can tell how much he likes you. You don't have to worry about a thing. Besides, he's never had a crush on Marissa, they are just friends, I can guarantee that. The person he liked is already married and he has completely moved on. Didn't you hear how worried he sounded when he heard you were suddenly returning to Hong Kong? Apparently, he jumped straight into his car after he received your call. I bet he's already waiting for you at the airport."

Avaleigh looked at Danson in surprise, "Really? He's already waiting for me?"

Danson nodded, "He didn't even finish dinner..."

Avaleigh frowned and looked at her watch worriedly. It was 8pm. By the time she arrived back in Hong Kong, it would be 10pm. Why didn't he, at least, finish eating first. He had plenty of time. Avaleigh shook her head and laughed. Both of them were as silly as each other.

How could she have doubted him?

She realized she had been too impulsive and childish, but she suddenly had another reason for rushing back to Hong Kong. She was no longer jealous of Marissa since Danson confirmed that Emerson had no feelings for her, but her heart was suddenly overflowing with emotions.

As she imagined Emerson waiting for her at the airport, rubbing his stomach in hunger as he worried about her, her heart broke. She suddenly missed him and wanted to hug him in her arms.

The 2-hour flight felt like forever but it soon passed and Avaleigh arrived back in Hong Kong. As soon as she stepped out of the airport she saw a familiar man standing near a car waiting for her. Without a second thought, she ran up to him and wrapped her arms around his body.

Emerson stumbled back a little in surprise. "Is everything OK?" he asked worriedly.

"I'm sorry..." Avaleigh confessed.

Emerson glanced down at the woman in his arms and asked with confusion, "Why are you sorry?"

Avaleigh moved away a little and looked into Emerson's eyes shyly, "When I heard that you were having dinner with Marissa, I was jealous, so I rushed back. But, I didn't know that I had misunderstood and I didn't expect you to come here without even finishing your food..."

"I know it's childish and impulsive, but I couldn't help myself...I..."

Emerson watched as Avaleigh babbled with embarrassment, but he was not annoyed. Instead, it made him happy. For the first time in his life, he could tell that the woman he liked also liked him too.

Avaleigh had a mask on to hide her identity, so Emerson could only see her eyes, but even her eyes were enough to make his heart race as he stared into them.

So, before Avaleigh finished speaking, he leaned forward, lifted her mask up slightly, and covered her mouth with his. He didn't mind that she was jealous, nor did he mind that she had acted impulsively. Back when he liked Halia, he had done much more impulsive and embarrassing things. It was nice to finally be on the receiving end.

Avaleigh felt the man's soft lips against hers and she immediately froze. She thought he would be upset or angry at her for making him worry and for making him rush to the airport, but that didn't seem to be the case. A sense of relief immediately swept through Avaleigh's body and she closed her eyes as she returned the man's kiss.

Emerson pulled the delicate woman closer to his body as he leaned back against his car. He was hungry and Avaleigh's lips were so delicious he did not want to part with them. It had been a while since their first proper kiss, but her lips were just as sweet as he remembered them to be. From now on, he really had to kiss her more often.

But, just as he was getting immersed in the kiss, he heard someone clear their voice and say awkwardly, "Ahem, excuse me, sir, but this is a 5-minute pickup area..."

Avaleigh immediately pulled away from Emerson's lips and covered her mouth back up with her mask as she giggled shyly into Emerson's shoulder. Emerson hugged her and chuckled. Neither of them could believe that they had lost control like that. "Sorry, we'll get going right away," he apologized to the airport staff.
