216 Arrest

Last night’s operation was not fruitless.

When Shen Yin came to work that morning, she heard that Team Three had caught a suspicious-looking man last night. When she rushed to the office, Zou Sheng mysteriously pulled her aside.

“Sister, it’s better if you don’t show up today.” Zou Sheng winked at her awkwardly.

He had specially waited here this morning to stop Shen Yin from getting involved in this mess.

“What’s wrong?” Shen Yin looked at him suspiciously. She glanced in the direction of the interrogation room and asked in confusion, “Did you catch the murderer?”

“No.” Zou Sheng made up his mind and grabbed her arm forcefully. “Anyway, don’t go to Team Three today. No new cases have surfaced for now. Sister, just go to your office and relax for the day. Just treat it as a day off!”

“What on earth has happened?” Shen Yin frowned. She brushed away Zou Sheng’s hand and was about to walk to the interrogation room.

Zou Sheng panicked and extended his arms to block her. “Sister, I beg you. Don’t go. Listen to me today.”

Shen Yin looked at him thoughtfully and suddenly asked, “Who did you arrest?”

Zou Sheng sighed. He wanted to persuade her again, but a sharp and quarrelsome voice came from the stairs of the police station.

Shen Luo was wearing heavy makeup and smelt strongly of perfume. She rushed straight towards Shen Yin, shouting as she ran, “You lunatic! You’ve even arrested your own father. Are you still human?”

Zou Sheng hurriedly stood in front of Shen Yin and grabbed Shen Luo’s arm. He questioned the police officers behind him coldly, “What do you think you’re doing? Why did you let her out?”

The police officers were also miserable. This woman kept saying that she was Dr. Shen’s biological sister. She had made a scene in the lounge and thrown things about. They did not dare to physically restrain her and could only try to patiently dissuade her.

But she had sneaked out of the lounge while they were distracted. She even kept calling Dr. Shen’s name and scolded them along the way.

They did not expect the noble and cold Dr. Shen to have a sister like that. They really did not know what to do.

“Shen Yin, what right do you have to order me around? Do you think you have the right to do this just because you’re a forensic pathologist? Let me tell you, I’ll find a lawyer to sue you now! You bastard, you won’t even let your own father off! You’re abusing your power for personal gain!”

The more Shen Luo spoke, the more she felt that she was in the right. She rolled up her sleeves and looked like she was ready to continue fighting.

Shen Yin frowned and looked at Zou Sheng. She asked in a low voice, “You arrested Shen Cheng?”

Zou Sheng knew that he could not hide it anymore. He nodded dejectedly and said helplessly, “Yes, we waited until midnight last night. The murderer did not do anything in the bungalow area, but we happened to see your father…”

At this point, Zou Sheng clearly paused for a moment, as if he was afraid that Shen Yin would be angry. He raised his hand and swore. “When the captain ordered us to arrest him, we really did not know that he was your father. We only found out his identity after bringing him back to the police station and investigating carefully.”

“Okay.” Shen Yin knew that with Captain Wu’s personality, even if he knew that Shen Luo was her father, he would not show the latter any favor.

However, she did not want the Captain Wu turn a blind eye to a criminal on her account.

Zou Sheng heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that Shen Yin showed no sign of anger. “But he didn’t commit any major crime. He’ll be locked up for a few days before being released.”

“What did he do?” Shen Yin raised her eyebrows and asked.

Judging by Shen Luo’s arrogant appearance, it was probably nothing major.

Zou Sheng felt a little awkward and opened his mouth. When he met Shen Yin’s probing gaze, he said through gritted teeth. “Whoring.”

Shen Yin had an expression that said, “I knew it.” She nodded in understanding and said, “We’ll deal with it impartially, according to the law. Captain Wu did the right thing.”

“Shen Yin! What nonsense are you talking about! Daddy isn’t that kind of person! You must have set this up. You hired someone to frame Daddy!” Shen Luo’s eyes widened, and her finger that was painted with bright red nail polish almost poked Shen Yin’s nose.

Zou Sheng understood Shen Yin’s attitude towards this matter and immediately stopped worrying. He looked at Shen Luo again with some impatience.

He frowned and looked at his two colleagues standing behind him. He said coldly, “Take her away. If she continues to cause trouble, she will be locked up in the detention center for two days for hindering the execution of justice.”

“Yes!” The police officers were smart. Since Dr. Shen did not intend to interfere in this matter, there was no need for them to be overly cautious. They immediately grabbed Shen Luo’s arms and dragged her out of the police station.

Shen Luo scolded angrily outside the police station, “You can’t do this to me! Let my father go! Shen Yin! Just you wait! I won’t let you off!
