Tea Party and Lorschel (8)
“He didn’t say that in the last class……”
Roelin tilted her head and muttered curiously. Kergel immediately flinched at the sight.
It was only natural.
The class that Roelin was taking from Heinez had just been called off through his own mouth. Yet, both the teacher and the student didn’t even realize that the class had already been canceled……
It was simply a scene of an abuse of power.
‘Well, I can’t help it. Who wouldn’t say that once you have wielded power as an Emperor?’
Let this be taken as an opportunity to be a tyrant instead. Kergel was so embarrassed by his own childish lies that he eventually muttered a bland sound argument to himself.
“Then, it can’t be helped. I can just ask him next time……”
“I—!”
As soon as Roelin opened her mouth as if she had already given up, Kergel hurriedly brought it up. Roelin looked puzzled as if his voice had suddenly risen somewhat in the wind. He then coughed while sweeping his chin down and went on in a calm tone once more.
“I’ll find out.”
“It’s all right, Kergel. It’s not that important. I was just reading a book, so I don’t really have to find it out right away. Besides, if Lord Bashel is very busy, you’ll definitely be much busier.”
“……Huh?”
Kergel looked perplexed for a moment as he wondered what this was all about. But he soon fixed his expression and started muttering awkwardly.
“Of course, I’m busy… Well, I am busy. But even so, my top priority will always be you. No matter what happens, you will always be the most important to me.”
Kergel’s words were sincere. Roelin turned her red face as if she had realized it already before she finally nodded.

Heinez looked through the documents and reached out to lift the tea cup without looking away. Then, he instantly frowned when he tried to sip his tea near to his mouth.
“………have it truly finished?”
When he saw the empty cup, he straight away checked the teapot on the desk that was also empty before he leaned against his back and relaxed his whole body.
He had cheered up while drinking tea, but when he saw that he already ran out of tea, even his motivation eventually disappeared.
“Phew… Still, if I just do this, I can then go and see the Empress.”
He lifted his pen with much strength once again. If there was one joy for Heinez these days, it had been the education time with the Empress.
Of course, he had never told this to anyone else. It was because if someone were to hear this, they could have immediately misunderstood. And this could lead to a bizarre case of passion instead.
A beautiful Empress and, while it was rather abashed to speak of this with his own mouth, he also belonged to the handsome faction as well.
Wouldn’t it be a perfect relationship for a political drama then?
Heinez was embarrassed even while thinking about it with his own head, which made him smirk.
Anyway, it was in a pure sense that he had enjoyed his lessons with the Empress.
Should he say that it was literally the pleasure which he felt in ‘class’? No, to be even more precise, it could be said that it was a pleasure derived from having an ‘honest disciple’.
“The Empress is also working very hard, so I can’t just do it vaguely.”
He mumbled to himself as he sped up with his examination of the papers. After completing this work in haste, he thought that he should prepare for the class once again before he went to the Empress.
But his plan was soon broken. It was because of an intruder who had suddenly entered his office without even giving a single knock.
Bang!
Heinez’s face began to frown at the sound of the door opening. It was because he became annoyed without realizing it since his concentration had been instantaneously disrupted.
“Who in the world is being so rude…… Your Majesty?”
Heinez glanced at the door and checked the intruder’s identity as he tried to argue with his cold eyes before he proceeded to say in a dejected voice.
“Why are you here? I thought that you were going to the tea party while making a fuss. Oh, did you get kicked out by the Empress because of that?”
Heinez’s behind-the-scenes remarks were slightly sharp because he was suddenly interrupted from his work. But Kergel didn’t care and just stared at Heinez instead. It seemed to some people that he was already facing off with an ironclad enemy.
“Your Majesty, why are you looking at me like that? You’re not here to vent your anger on the wrong person, are you? I’m already busy…… and I have to deal with all of this before I go to see the Empress.”
Heinez sighed and said some lamentable words.
Kergel, who usually hated sitting in front of his desk, had left much work to him, which made it seem that he held a grudge against his situation that appeared to always be overwhelmed with all kinds of documents.
However, once again this time, Kergel stared at Heinez without caring and opened his mouth as if he couldn’t stand it any longer.
“Why! Why is Roelin so trusting and relying on you!”
“……what?”
Heinez’s purple eyes instantly opened wide. Then, his face became distorted.
“What the hell are you even talking about? You interrupted me suddenly that I can’t even work and now you’re here to talk about that?”
Heinez retorted with a cold face. The embarrassment became even sharper as the wrong thoughts that had just occurred to him eventually came to mind.
Then, Kergel hit the desk with both of his hands and continued to speak in protest.
“Why are you so smart? Huh? Wouldn’t it be nice to be a little stupid instead?”
“……I mean. If I was, I wouldn’t be living through all of this then.”
Heinez took a deep breath after he sighed while watching the Lord who was only spewing nonsense. It was because of the belated awareness that he had to regain his coolness once again.
It was not the first time he had been upset by the Emperor acting in his own way……
