Chapter 436: God Kings of Genres

“So, why the heck have you arrived here, Truck-Kun?”

“Don’t call me that.” The middle-aged truck driver scratched the back of his head in annoyance, “Call me the Reincarnation God!”

“Whatever, you’re more famous as Truck-Kun anyway.” The angel snorted before asking, “Just tell me the reason, dammit! Why have you come here?”

“I sensed the birth of the Main Character.” The middle-aged truck driver said, “He’s still alive and is being hunted by all the Luck Systems.”

“What? There’s finally another Main Character after so long?” The angel was shocked before springing up in excitement, “Quick! We have to get there before he’s killed by the Systems.”

“Stop!” Suddenly, a raspy voice resounded as a man wearing Taoist robes arrived at the place.

“What do you mean by that, Immortal?” The middle-aged truck driver asked in confusion, “Shouldn’t we hurry and save him? I can open a portal to his dimension right away!”

“We’ll fall right into our enemy’s trap if we do that.” The Taoist robed man, addressed as Immortal spoke, glaring at the middle-aged driver, “It seems you’ve become dumb these days, Truck-Kun.”

“Why the heck are you calling me that too, Immortal?” The middle-aged driver groaned.

“Things are turning chaotic recently.” A weak voice resounded as a hunched old man that was cloaked from head to toe walked in, using a staff to drag himself.

“Did you find something, Magister?” The angel gazed at the cloaked old man, asking nervously.

“Yes.” The cloaked old man, addressed as Magister nodded, speaking slowly, “I’ve used my magic to figure out the Main Character’s identity. He’s called Compass Carburettor. And surprisingly, even though he has yet to awaken a Main Character’s Core Skill, he’s still managed to kill a dozen Systems.”

“A dozen Systems?” The angel was surprised, “How is that possible? The Systems are damn troublesome to kill. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have been pushed this far back.”

“That’s the Main Character for you.” Magister said, “They are geared to destroy the Systems. Anyway, I feel that making a move at present is too risky.”

“Then, how long should we wait?” Truck-Kun asked, clenching his hand into a fist, “We’ve waited similarly in the past. And what happened as a result? Any Main Character that had appeared was immediately swarmed by the Systems and killed eventually.”

“So what? Each Main Character took down quite a few Grade 2 Systems with them. That crippled the System World’s foundation to a great extent.” Magister retorted.

“If we had saved them, we could have annihilated the System World by now.” Truck-Kun gritted his teeth.

“We lost a few Gods because we had underestimated the Systems, especially their Grade 3 And 4 Systems.” Magister gritted his teeth, “If we lose any more of us, our annihilation is guaranteed.”

“Then, what do you propose we do?” The angel asked, unable to control herself from taking action to save Compass Carburettor immediately.

“We wait, Mascot.” Magister said, making eye contact with the angel, “We’ll wait for 16 years. At that time, any System Hosts that survive would return to that looping world. At that time, a ripple would form in their Restriction Order. That’s when I’ll make my move.”

“Don’t assume that Compass Carburettor is a helpless man. He’s the Main Character. Moreover,” Magister said in all seriousness, “He’s different from the rest. I know for a fact that he’s our key to destroying the Systems once and for all.”

“In the meantime,” The Immortal said, “I’ll ensure the Grade 4 Systems don’t mess up our timeline. Even if they were to travel to the past to ensure Compass Carburettor isn’t even born, we must ensure that his river of time isn’t disrupted.”

He thumped his chest, “And, I’ll personally make sure that his timeline is protected from their methods.”

“Don’t forget his daughter.” A gentle voice resounded as all the Gods turned serious immediately, gazing at the man that wore a long trench coat, wearing a monocle as he sauntered towards them, double-tapping his glabella, stating, “Stencil Carburettor is the reason Compass Carburettor is fighting the Systems.”

“And, it seems that if we play our cards right, she too would become the Main Character.” He smiled, snapping his fingers to outline the image of the entire Gaider Realm before them, pointing at the Folkan Secret Realm as he said, “Something important will happen here. Even I can’t determine what that is, but when it happens, you’ll be in for a treat.”

“Magister, just in case things don’t go our way, be ready to make a move.” The man wearing the long trench coat said, “We should be prepared to face the entirety of their Grade 3 and 4 Systems to save Compass Carburettor if the need arises. Be ready to sacrifice yourself.”

“You don’t need to worry about that, Mystic.” The Magister gazed at the man wearing the long trench coat, saying weakly, “There are still enough Magic Worlds that are free of a System’s influence. My power is still going strong. I’ll be able to kill at least one Grade 4 System if I wager my life.”

He then gazed at the rest, “What about the rest of you?”

“I’m losing power rapidly these past few centuries. Too many cultivation worlds are being invaded by Systems. I’m already less than half my original power.” Immortal sighed, stating dejectedly, causing everyone to stare at him in shock.

“I have grown mildly stronger as compared to before.” Truck-Kun said, “But, there are some that have begun to barge into my domain too. Though, they have yet to stabilise themselves.”

“I’m at eighty percent of my peak power.” Mascot muttered dispiritedly, “But, none that I grant power towards amount to anything these days. Some become System Hosts and the power I’ve granted them is instead devoured by the blasted Systems.”

“I’m still at peak power.” Mystic said, hearing everyone sigh in relief as he spoke, “I have already stolen some powers of the Systems. I’ll help the rest of you regain some of your strength in the upcoming years.”

“No matter what, we’ll destroy the Systems.”
