Chapter 535 Secret Society "Success!" The Angel System bellowed happily, jumping around in joy, "The Main Character is dead!"
"Hahaha!" The Demon System laughed in response, clearly relieved, "Even though the Luck System died, it will revive shortly in the future. And it will be at Grade 2 when it revives."
The information was instantly transmitted to the Astral Network as every System that had been keeping a watch on this situation rejoiced.
After all, every arrival of the Main Character was a disaster to them, one that would weaken them. And hence, even Grade 3 Systems were keeping tabs on the issue at hand.
Immediately after, countless abilities flashed through the Cultivation World, leaking through the Restriction Order that had begun to weaken for some reason, checking to ensure that all traces of Compass Carburettor had indeed vanished, for good this time.
But right after all the mysterious powers vanished, the Angel System muttered, "Alright, let's retract the Restriction Order…"
"What the fuck?" Both the Grade 2 Systems exclaimed in shock upon seeing the Restriction Order vanish mysteriously.
And immediately after, Truck Kun launched an attack on them, killing both of them in a matter of seconds.
"Damn you!" The Angel System roared in anger as it was destroyed.
"Hahaha! The Main Character's death is a small price to pay to steal the Restriction Order!" Truck Kun laughed arrogantly before vanishing from the scene immediately after.
"Damn those Gods!" Shortly after, a Grade 3 System appeared at the scene, raging in anger upon failing to find any traces of the Restriction Order or Truck Kun, muttering in anger, "We've been had this time."
"Honestly, I was ready to intervene if they tried to save Compass Carburettor. He's by far the most powerful Main Character after the first." Another Grade 3 System arrived at the scene, "But that ended up being our blind spot. Never have I thought they would rather sacrifice the Main Character with the greatest potential just to steal the Restriction Order from our hands."
"The Restriction Order is our most powerful tool to eradicate the Main Character." The Grade 3 System that had arrived first said in anger, "We've relied on that to quickly kill every Main Character that had appeared to date. But without it, our losses would increase significantly every time the Main Character reappears."
"Dammit!"
Even though they succeeded in killing the most troublesome of the Main Characters, they ended up losing the body of the first Main Character to their foes. It left a sour feeling in their mood as the two Grade 3 Systems left shortly after, beginning to make other plans for their upcoming war.
After all, once equipped with the Restriction Order, the Gods would be able to deal with the Systems better.
Therefore, what would transpire next would be a long war between the two opposing powers.
Unconcerned with probably the initiation of arms among the greatest ruling power were the people of the Gaider Realm, those that were in the region surrounding Tura City.
Gazing at the scene of Compass Carburettor and Straxia taking out each other caused them to gasp in shock, followed by confusion as everyone forgot the related information, like Straxia and Compass Carburettor hadn't ever existed.
This included Balmer. Only the Heaven Divine Martial Spirit remembered everything, sighing in the end.
Xuer stared at the Spydragon in her arms, feeling that she was aware of it but was unable to recall the information related to it, as if she was suffering from memory loss.
'But, this is something important. At least, that much I know.' She thought, touching it once to see its body moving in response. Curious, she placed it on her wrist, watching the Spydragon's mouth clamp onto its tail, turning into a bracelet of sorts.
She was still unable to recall any information regarding it but decided to keep it with her and hope she remembered it in the future.
"What…should we do now?" A powerhouse from the Arena Realm muttered, strangely unnerved by the memory loss he was experiencing, unable to recall anything from the past few months.
"Let's…return." It was unknown who said it first but before long, the emotion echoed through the entire army as they began to retreat through the portals on the edge of the Gaider Realm.
In response, the people from the Gaider Realm sighed in relief.
Standing amongst the crowd, situated atop the mountain range, covered by a cloak was a Double-Faced Monkey with peak cultivation, staring blankly as it was unable to remember anything regarding its entire life.
It seemed to have lost all signs of intelligence as its memory had been wiped out. Instinctively, it noticed a pouch tied at the die of its hip, fishing out a bullet from within.
It stared at the bullet, sensing that it seemed strangely…appetising?
As it was mildly hungry, it hesitantly took a bite of the bullet before its eyes lit up in surprise, swallowing the bullet immediately. It then swallowed the remaining bullets in its pouch too, smiling contently.
With Compass Carburettor's death, Secret Society vanished. So, all the Double-Faced Monkeys were now suffering from the side-effects of the memory loss, staring blankly, shocking the populace when their large-framed hooded figures appeared in the streets all of a sudden.
Among the Double-Faced Monkeys was one with a tiny frame, only at the Martial Origin Stage. It stared blankly, unable to react to the people running away from it in fear, eliciting screams from time to time.
And in response, the nearby cultivators charged at it.
The Double-Faced Monkey stared at them blankly, watching them unsheathe their weapons, suddenly focusing on a certain image engraved on the hilt of their weapons.
It was a symbol, of two 'C' tangentially connected, seemingly common and nothing strange. But as it stared at the symbol, it frowned, noticing a mysterious stream appear before its eyes, green in colour, originating from it and flowing into that symbol.
It was unknown as to how it knew of this, but somehow…it knew. And as it stared at the green stream, its eyes gradually regained lustre.
Secret Society!
