Chapter 670: 12.72 Unknown Star – Modern ABO World: Second Case – Revival

After Prosecutor Ye Yuyan told everyone the story of his past which includes the relationship between him, Yu Xi, and this Ying Su who hated him so much, Hei Yuhua was pissed with what he had heard. Even Yun Jie and Lou Wei were in disbelief.

Lou Wei said, “Isn’t his source of hatred too shallow? He wanted to kill us because his brother chose to sacrifice his life for his friend and beloved.”

Mortals are made of emotions. That’s what makes you humans. There is no need to question what you are.”

“Do Gods have no affection or emotions?” asked Ye Yuyan.

Bai Jin asked, “We have but only to those who are fated to us. There are also some rare cases of God-loving humans but those eccentric beings usually don’t end well. Humans cannot live for eternity but Gods do. What we feel towards those who had the same strength as us and those who were weaker than us is different.”

He was smiling but the depths of his eyes were aloof and indifferent. As if he was being friendly to them for a reason. The reason would be most likely the two other Gods sleeping inside Ye Yuyan and Hei Yuhua. Then Hei Yuhua and the rest remembered the playfulness of Lord Hei. They’ve never found any other emotions in his eyes whenever he looks at them with only a bit of interest and entertainment.

As for Lord God Ye, he had only met him once before and he wasn’t even willing to let them end in his line of sight except for Hei Yuhua who is the host of Lord Hei. As for Warden Lou and Yun Ming, they treated them amiably yet distant as well. While System Yang and System Yue would never spend time with them every day unless they called for them or they had something to say to them. Then he noticed Bai Jin who was unexpectedly here in his house and remembered that the system of Ying Su was supposed to be tailing them. Now that this pair is here means that the enemy must either have been captured or destroyed.

Prosecutor Ye Yuyan asked, “Is that White Snake System dealt with? Destroyed or captured?”

“Captured,” answered Bai Jin as he pulled out a small golden cage with a golden talisman and bound a white snake inside.

The cage was most likely pulled out from his own storage device or from the System’s storage. Bai Jin placed the item on the table which stunned almost everyone, especially the forgotten Student Xu Meiji who doesn’t know the existence of the system and stuff like that. He was so shocked that he forgot to speak and just watch silently enough for everyone not to notice him.

Bai Jin said, “This is his system. This thing is so close to becoming a God. An Evil one no less. A lot of my God Points are used up to capture him. I would like to surrender it to the Lords. The world energy this little thing had gathered is quite large. I don’t know if it would be useful for the esteemed lords that are with you.”

System Yang and System Yue materialized in their avatar forms. A small moon and sun floated above the golden cage and observed the system inside. As expected the white snake which was hissing at everyone around him just now had turned silent as it looked at the floating moon and sun in dazed. This is the first time it had met systems of their caliber. They are a hundred times stronger than that little crow he had fought before. He could only meekly stay silent inside the change.

System Yue commented, [It is quite intelligent for a newborn. It had at least the Intelligence of a 5-year-old child.]

System Yue asked, [A’Yang, do you think Lord Hei can use these energies?]

Upon seeing the God of Void, Bai Jin this God of Wealth immediately kowtowed in his presence while the mortals were unable to move at all as if they’ve lost control over their whole bodies. System Yang and System Yue greeted him with their usual servile voice.

Ye Xiajie remembered that his wife’s soul resides in the body of this human called Hei Yuhua. He narrowed his eyes as he thought of something lessening the pressure of his aura making others able to breathe normally. He ignored all humans except the one who hosted his soul and the one who hosted his wife’s soul. He even turned a blind eye to the youngest, the forgotten Xu Meiji, among them who fainted from overwhelming pressure.

“Raise your head, God of Wealth. Good work in capturing this illegal system. As a reward, your System shall be pardoned and returned to being human. As for what he will choose to do after will depend on you both.” said Ye Xiajie as he waves his hands one and the tiny crow sitting on Bai Jin’s head turns to the human.

A human form but not completely human. After all, System Wuya used to be a Demon General in Vearth who killed his own incompetent Liege to save his subordinates. His real name is Demon General Shi Wuya.

Demon General Shi Wuya was shocked as he suddenly became human. But seeing Ye Xiajie, this Supreme Lord, he immediately went down on one knee and saluted this mighty being.

“Salute to the Supreme Lord of Darkness!!” said Demon General Shi Wuya. Besides him, Bai Jin was extremely happy to see his partner freed from the restraints as a system. He now doesn’t need to redeem him using the points they’ve gathered together.

Ye Xiajie hummed once to acknowledge his greeting. His eyes laid on the small golden cage on the center table and made a grabbing motion to get the white snake even destroying the God prison cage they’ve bought for a huge number of points.

The white snake tried to struggle yet failed to escape under the clutches of Ye Xiajie. He only needed to squeeze the thing in his hands to kill it, yet everyone could only watch as an array floated in front of Ye Xiajie and placed the snake into it. The energies inside the system were being pulled out and after extraction, only two glowing orbs remained. A pure white orb made from world energy and a pure black orb made from dark energy.

Ye Xiajie spoke without moving his eyes to the energy orbs before him.

“Yang. Give this energy to my wife. Though it’s insufficient it should be enough to wake him up even without a vessel.” said Ye Xiajie as he passed the white orb to the little sun.

System Yang took away the white orb and said, [As you ordered, Lord God Ye.] Then he once again disappeared in thin air, obviously returning inside Hei Yuhua to see his sleeping lord.

As for the black orb, Ye Xiajie glanced at his current host and thought of something.

Ye Xiajie said, “Mortal, I haven’t given the reward of you agreeing to let me reside in your soul. What Yue had given cannot be considered as something I gave but he used my spell to bring you back including your memories so it can be said it was my doing. I will give you two more chances to voice what you wanted. Speak if you thought of something as a reward.”

Everyone was looking at Ye Yuyan and the latter even felt the jealous gaze of Bai Jin and Shi Wuya. A Supreme Lord allowed a human to make a wish.

Ye Yuyan asked, “Can you bring someone back to life?”

“I can. If it’s just one then I can but if you wanted to bring back many alive then the current timeline would be gone and a new timeline with those you wish to revive would begin,” said Ye Xiajie.

Ye Yuyan spoke, “I only want one person back alive. Please revive a man named Ying Wu.”

Ye Xiajie didn’t agree right away as he didn’t know who this Ying Wu is. System Yue stepped forward and whispered the information of the man called Ying Wu into his ears. Only then does he realize that this Ying Wu is the brother of the enemy of Ye Yuyan.

Ye Xiajie asked, “To revive the brother of your enemy, are you alright with this?”

“Yes,” answered Ye Yuyan.

Ye Xiajie spoke, “You do know that I can end your current situation and bring you all the members of that Syndicate you hate too much.”

“I will capture my enemies with my own hands,” said Ye Yuyan.

Ye Xiajie unsympathetically no longer talked with Ye Yuyan and gave him what he wanted. Using the time spell, Ye Xiajie controlled the time elements of the world and used them on one soul. Ying Wu’s soul which was originally waiting for reincarnation was pulled away by something and under the eyes of Ye Yuyan and the rest, Ying Wu who looks exactly like Ying Su appeared before them.

The person himself was shocked when he appeared in a place completely similar yet not to what he remembered when he was alive. When he saw Ye Yuyan’s face he was even more shocked.

Ying Wu said, “Ye Yuyan, did you also die?”

“No, Brother Wu. It was you who came back to life,” said Ye Yuyan as he was extremely delighted to see Ying Wu, this righteous man, alive before him. His tears couldn’t help but fall. This was a good brother, one that can sacrifice himself for his own brothers.

Bewildered Ying Wu looked at his hands and body as he felt the solid feeling which is completely different from when he is a ghost.

“I’m back alive? But I’m in the Netherworld just now waiting to be reincarnated. They say I need to wait a hundred years more before my turn arrives.” said Ying Wu.

Then he noticed that his body is totally different from before. He wasn’t sickly as he remembered, instead he is completely healthy.

“Eh? I don’t feel pain. I’ve become healthy.” said Ying Wu.

System Yue cleared his confusion, [You have merits when you had died before. After reviving your life was based on the merits you have and fate to have a healthy body and rich future.]

Ying Wu was stunned to see a talking moon but after being in the Netherworld for a while, he was used to strange things like this.

“Wow~ this is the first time I saw a talking moon. Is this what they call the system in the Netherworld?”

Ye Xiajie no longer wished to stay with them and cut off Ying Wu’s words and said to Ye Yuyan.

“Tell me your last wish. If you can’t think of anything yet I’ll leave now.” said the God of Void.

Ye Yuyan said, “I haven’t thought of my last wish yet.”

He stared at Ye Yuyan calmly before averting his gaze to look at the floating little moon. “Yue, tell me if Jing’er wakes up,” said Ye Xiajie.

After saying those words Ye Xiajie disappeared in thin air. As for where he had gone no one knows. System Yue was once again left behind to clean up after his lord.

[Eh? Milord? Please wait!]

System Yue tried to stop Ye Xiajie from leaving but the one he was calling for had long disappeared. He had no other choice but to explain the situation to the newly revived person Ying Wu and erase Xu Meiji’s memories of their existence.
