The teleportation talisman worked greatly this time. Before the rain of bullets fell on him and Student Xu Meiji, they had successfully transferred to another location. They were directly teleported to the hallway of the condominium building where their room was located.

As soon as their feet landed on solid ground Student Xu Meiji felt his legs turn to jelly and fell seated on the floor. There was a graze wound on Wei Lou’s left cheek and it was only right now that it started bleeding.

Wei Lou cursed, “Damn?! Was that Officer Ying Wu just now!!? This is crazy! He is from the Red Poppy Syndicate!? Should I report it to the captain!? No, wait, what if my call is traced? Let’s just wait for them to come home. It would have been great if I had a telepathy skill like the bosses.”

He kept on talking to himself and didn’t notice the one he saved was too scared on the floor and another two pairs of eyes staring at him while crouching in the hallway. The two guests were the God of Wealth, Bai Jin, and his System Wuya. Seeing Wei Lou around System Wuya returned to his avatar form and landed on his host’s head taking over his hair as his little next, the ball-like little crow nodded off to sleep after giving his host instructions about the one they’ve caught.

Bai Jin said, “Hello~, Lou Wei. We’re here again.”

Wei Lou heard a familiar voice talking to him but he looked around and saw no one. He felt creeped out as if there was a ghost around him.

Bai Jin said, “Down here. Look below~”

Wei Lou followed the voice and said Bai Jin or Lin Jiya seated on the floor with a sleeping craw on his head and a small but weird golden cage with pasted talisman in it. Inside the cage is a fierce-looking white snake with red eyes which is a rare sight to be seen.

“Venerable Bai Jin?” calls Wei Lou.

The God of Wealth, Bai Jin said, “Un! By the way, is this child okay? He fainted.”

He said while pointing at Student Xu Meiji who was scared to death witnessing someone who had his face get killed like that in front of him. It was like seeing his own ending if not for Wei Lou coming over to save him.

Wei Lou panicked for a moment and checked on Xu Meiji when he saw he only fainted and carried the boy to his condominium next door.

“Please come with me next door. The boss and his wife as well as my lover haven’t gone home yet. Let’s wait for them to return.” said Wei Lou as he opened the door to the unit next to the one owned by Prosecutor Ye Yuyan.

Bai Jin followed and said, “Let’s go. Do you have food? This mortal vessel feels hunger...”

“Um, there should be something in the fridge I think?” hesitating, Wei Lou replied.

Inside Wei Lou’s condominium, he went to the kitchen to raid Wei Lou’s fridge for food. They had been waiting for half a day for these guys to return after all.

Bai Jin asked in disbelief upon hearing Wei Lou’s words. “Why are you not sure? Isn’t this your house?”

“It’s my lover who does the groceries so I don’t know if there is still something in the fridge,” responded Wei Lou.

Bai Jin who saw the fridge full of food including reheated Bentos was delighted. He took a few out to reheat and commented, “Your lover is great. You should marry him. He will be a great wife.”

“Do you think so too?” said Wei Lou with a smile.

The two waited for the rest to come back. Wei Lou had already messaged his lover that he had returned to the condominium ahead of time. They’ve already received the news of the death of Student Xu Meijie from Officer Ying Wu.

Officer Ying Wu reported that everyone including all the guards that were left behind to protect the witness Student Xu Meiji and the witness himself had died last night. Today was the third day they’ve been undercover in Crossfield Private High School.

Bai Jin and Wei Lou heard the conversation in the hallway.

Prosecutor Ye Yuyan said, “Good work for today. Ying Wu takes a long rest. We’ve watched them so closely lately that they’ve stopped selling drugs for these three days. We will take a day off tomorrow. Leave some people to watch over the school and report anything strange immediately.”

“Understood, Prosecutor Ye! Please excuse me for today!” said Officer Ying Wu as he left for today as usual.

Prosecutor Ye Yuyan and Jie Yun watched Officer Ying Wu leave while Hua Heiyu was sitting in his wheelchair bored yet his eyes were observant of his surroundings, especially about Ying Wu.

Hei Yuhua asked to System Yang, “Is he gone?”

Hei Yuhua looked at Yun Jie and said, “Call your lover and the people with him over for dinner, A’Jie.”

As he stood up from the wheelchair and walked inside his family’s condominium leaving the left behind wheelchair for Ye Yuyan to dispose of. He doesn’t look to be in a good mood.

Yun Jie said, “Okay, Big Brother.” as he went next door while Ye Yuyan followed his wife inside the house.

Lou Wei and Bai Jin were eavesdropping at the door just now and heard what Hei Yuhua had said. They opened the door when they heard Yun Jie’s footsteps.

“What’s wrong with the boss’s wife?” asked Lou Wei.

Yun Jie replied, “We’ve received news from the dummy left behind at the Prime Minister’s house. The Syndicate caused an explosion in one of the halls at the Prime Minister’s Palace but thankfully no one was hurt.”

“The Syndicate is now revealing all means to harm us? This didn’t happen in our past life,” said Lou Wei.

Bai Jin spoke, “It might be because he had lost contact with his system and this was out of control for him. He wanted to end everything much faster in this timeline. You guys should hurry and catch them all.”

Yun Jie recognizes Bai Jin and salutes him as a greater being. He then asks them to go with him next door.

“Venerable Bai. You are here. Please come with us next door as well.”

“A’Jie actually Student Xu Meiji is alive. He is with me too,” said Lou Wei.

Yun Jie said, “Bring him over as well. We might as well get him involved since they wanted him dead and are already dead in their eyes.”

In the usual living room in Prosecutor Ye Yuyan’s condominium, everyone had once again gathered to talk. It is just that there are new members included this time. “Yes. It is him,” answered Bai Jin.

Ye Yuyan and Yun Jie were shocked but both of them looked at the silent Hei Yuhua as if he didn’t expect him to already know.

“Is this why you left a mini drone on him? Can I see the recording, wife?” asked Prosecutor Ye Yuyan.

Hei Yuhua light nods his head and gives him the phone as he says, “At first, it was just my intuition telling me something is wrong with him. I left him a mini invisible drone just in case. Who would expect it was indeed him? The real reason I left surveillance on him is that I saw him glaring at you with eyes full of hatred. A’Yan, do you know why he hates you so much?”

Frowning, Ye Yuyan just finished watching the video recording of that day when Ying Wu gathered his executives. He saw that he called himself Ying Su instead of Ying Wu.

“I might know. If he is indeed not Ying Wu but Ying Su then... He must have really hated you say.” said Ye Yuyan.

He passed the phone to let Lou Wei and Yun Jie watch the recording as well though they couldn’t believe it fully as the person mentioned is someone who had been working with them for days but seeing is believing. Ying Wu is indeed their enemy.

Hei Yuhua asked, “Do you know why he hates you?”

“The Ying family had twin brother descendants. The eldest is Ying Su and the youngest is Ying Wu. That’s what we know but based on this it seems that it was vice versa. The eldest is Ying Wu and the youngest is Ying Su. They are identical twins. The difference is that Ying Wu is a sickly Alpha while Ying Su is a beta.”

“Ying Su is my and Yu Xi’s former comrade and best friend. He is a beta but his personality is much more of the recessive kind.
