The skill giving ceremony is performed at the same time each year in the church.

It is a simple way of praying to the Skill Giving God and then receiving the skill.

This requires a lot of tools, which is why it has to be done in a church.

That’s why – there were many boys and girls gathered at the church.

“Wow, that’s a huge crowd.”

“You’re right. I heard they gather all the children in the Royal Capital every year.”

“Big Brother. Don’t get separated from us!”

“Fufu, yes, yes. I understand, Alice.”

Cyclo then proceeded to hold both Alice and Maria’s hands firmly.

Knowing his younger sister’s personality well, it was not difficult for Cyclo to read the true feelings behind the irritable words.

After a while, the skill giving ceremony finally begins.

Skills are given in order, starting with those in the front of the line.

What skills were given is indicated by the letters that appear in a giant crystal ball, one of the tools used in the ceremony.

The only thing is – these letters are written in an ancient language that is believed to have been used by the old gods as well, not in the modern language.

So the name of the skill can only be known by the priest who performs the ceremony.

“–Your skill is ‘Strong Man’.”

Just like that, after the skill is given, the priest will tell you what kind of skill you received.

The skill giving ceremony proceeded smoothly due to the large number of participants.

The number of people lined up in front of the Cyclo and the others was getting fewer and fewer.

Eventually, it was Cyclo and the others’ turn.

“I’ll go first!”

Saying that, Maria stepped forward.

Standing in front of the ceremonial crystal, she offered a prayer.

Then, to her surprise, a dazzling light filled the area.

“Uwaaaaah!?”

“What the hell is this!?”

The children made a lot of noise.

The priest was also surprised.

When the light eventually subsided, there were letters appearing on the crystal.

The priest hurriedly read the letters and was surprised with his eyes wide open.

“W-What!? S-Sa-Saint! The saint has appeared!”

Then he declared in a loud voice.

Then, wherever they were waiting, many priest-like people appeared.

And they surrounded Maria and said.

“Lady Saint. Please come with us so that we may explain to you what is to come.”

“What? Well, um…”

Maria looked repeatedly, alternately at the priest and at Cyclo.

But another priest stood in the way, as if interrupting her.

“Please, Lady Saint. We won’t do anything bad to you.”

“…… Yes. Okay ……”

And so – before they knew what was happening, Maria was being taken somewhere by the people from the church.
