Cyclo regained consciousness with the sensation that his body was unusually cold.

“…… ugh, where am I ……?”

As he checked his surroundings, he could see the sticky threads clinging to his body and the flowing water was taking away his body heat.

Then, he recalls the situation and makes inferences.

“…… I see. I fell down that valley and lost consciousness. On the way down, I got caught in a spider monster’s web or something, and slowed down, fell into the water, and that’s how I survived.”

Cyclo roughly concludes why his life is safe.

There were more important things to do now.

“…… Anyway, I need to get back up there.”

Yes. He must aim for the upper stratum of the dungeon.

The deeper you are in a dungeon, the more ferocious the monsters roaming around.

Although it was unclear how deep Cyclo was in the dungeon, it was clear that it was not an environment in which he could survive alone.

He had to get out of this dungeon as soon as possible.

Cyclo first checked his luggage. He had left most of the things that had been entrusted to him by the adventurers above.

What he has with him now are a knife and a metal match. And a small canteen.

Cyclo also realizes that he will starve to death if he doesn’t hurry to escape because he doesn’t have a single piece of food.

However, he must not panic here. This dungeon is so dangerous that it is called the “Worst Dungeon”. And this is the deepest part of the dungeon.

Making a fuss for nothing could end up attracting dangerous demons.

(…… First, let’s observe our surroundings more closely.)

Cyclo starts moving slowly and quietly, killing the sound of his footsteps.

As he stands up, Cyclo understands that he has been swept down a mountain stream in the dungeon and was caught on a rocky point along the way.

The area had just been cut down by the erosion of the mountain stream, and the terrain was lower and more concave than the surrounding area.

Cyclo thought that it was thanks to these that he was probably able to avoid detection from the monsters while he was unconscious.

And – he soon realized that this was almost certainly true.

(Ugh …… what was that!?)

The moment Cyclo stood up and checked his surroundings. He discovers an oddly shaped monster roaming a short distance away.

The monster was a huge or larger than a bear, shaped like a dog.

Not only was it huge, but it also had a face similar to a human’s, distorted and hideous, and tentacles sprouted from around its neck.

And while its hind legs resembled those of a dog, its front legs were shaped like human arms, wriggling as if searching for something.

Cyclo was frightened at the sight of such a strange-looking creature, which was so out of the ordinary.

(Oh no …… it’s too abnormal no matter how much you look at it. I’ve never seen or heard of such a monster!)

The deeper you go into a dungeon, the more different ecosystems are maintained.

The closer the layers are to each other, the more similar the types and appearance of the monsters inhabiting them become.

In other words, the fact that there are monsters that he has never seen or heard of before means that he’s far away from the strata that they have already reached.

At the same time, this fact also means that the monster is a formidable foe.

(T/N: I’ll upload two more later, I want to know what happens from here too, after all.)
