Cyclo observes the humanoid monster while staying quiet.

The hand movements, as if searching for something, are not particularly set in stone. It is searching in a direction unrelated to the direction in which Cyclo is.

Therefore, it did not seem to be aware of Cyclo’s presence.

(That movement …… What is it looking for?)

The answer is soon found before the wondering Cyclo’s eyes.

Suddenly, the monster stopped moving and began to run with blinding speed.

In the blink of an eye, the monster, running with unusual speed, had attacked the frog-like creature, which was hiding in a distant position.

The mimicry was such that even Cyclo, who was observing his surroundings, did not notice it. The monster had somehow noticed the frog, which had skin like a rock.

And even the frog that was attacked was a monster with a huge body that looked much larger than Cyclo.

An even higher-level monster that easily laid waste to such a monster.

The human-faced monster pierced its tentacles and took away the frog’s freedom. Holding it by the arm as it is, it brings its giant face close.

Then, the part of what he thought was a human face cracks wide open, and a mouth emerges from inside.

The huge mouth, split open vertically, seems to be more elastic, stretches out, and swallows the frog whole.

Then, it tastes the frog while making sloppy noises.

(……Oh no, that’s too dangerous ……What the hell am I supposed to do with that thing?)

Cyclo’s body trembles with fear.

That is how eerie and overwhelming the predatory scene of the human-faced monster was.

Cyclo was terrified as he imagined if he were to be targeted.

And – in his fear, he was too focused on one monster.

That is why he couldn’t notice the other monster approaching from the darkness.

“–Kukokoko, kukokoko.”

Cyclo is startled when he hears a strange cry.

He hurriedly looked in the direction of the voice – and saw an even newer, humanoid monster.

This time, it was making a searching gesture with its hand, firmly pointed in Cyclo’s direction.

And its face was twisted into a horrendous smile.

It was as if – as if it had found the perfect prize.

(They found me!?)

Cyclo rushes to make a plan to escape.

Even if he ran, he would never make it in time. It would be impossible to confront them.

If that was the case, he had to hide somewhere to ensure his safety.

(Anyway, somewhere to hide…!)

Cyclo lowers his posture and looks around while hiding behind the rocky area.

Fortunately, the monster did not seem to have fully located Cyclo yet, and continued to search with its hands.

If he could hide somewhere during this time, he might be saved.

Clinging to a glimmer of hope, Cyclo’s eyes could see a small side hole, as if it had been made for that very purpose.

It seemed to be a small cave created by the erosion of the water flow that branched off from the mountain stream. The size of the hole was barely big enough for Cyclo to enter.

(Here it is! I have to get in there as soon as possible–)

Cyclo throws himself into the cave, regardless of his pretense.

There might be something inside. But even so, it is much better than being eaten by a human-faced monster without a word.

And then – without a moment’s pause – the human-faced monster makes its move.

The moment Cyclo hides in the cave, it pounces on the spot where Cyclo had just been standing.

Countless tentacles strikes the rocky ground, but the target is already gone.

The monster tilts its head and moves its arms as if to search its surroundings.

It seems that this man-faced monster has some kind of sensation in its arm that is not visual, and it seems to be using it to recognize its prey.

And – its senses seem to be quite keen, and it quickly spots Cyclo hiding in the cave.

“Kukoko.”

The monster squeals and slowly approaches the cave.

Its writhing tentacles reach into the cave to catch Cyclo.

(This is bad, this is bad, this is bad!!)

Cyclo squeezes his body inside the cave, and desperately moves deeper to escape from the tentacles.

Eventually, he escapes to a distance where the tentacles cannot reach him and finally stops.

“…… haha, you can’t catch me here, right?”

Cyclo, out of relief, just let out such a voice.

“Kukoko…”

The monster wriggled its tentacles and squealed in disappointment.

There was some discussion about whether it would be better to have a cuckold tag in the feedback, but I thought it would be fine without it since the cuckolds are only characters who are not part of the harem and are, well, essential to it.

Since there is a character who will be cuckolded? I am thinking of adding it to the tag.

However, I am worried that it will be a fraud tag because cuckold is not the main genre or attribute of the story.

So, for now, I’m going to give it a try and if I get enough feedback in the comments section that the cuckold tag is unnecessary, I’ll leave it out.

So, if anyone thinks it is unnecessary, I would be happy to hear from you in the comments!
