“–This is the end! [Flame Nova]!!”

Alice Owen, a girl genius also known as the Sage, unleashes a high-level magic with the flame attribute.

The flames converge on the huge monster target, a black blood grizzly.

And the moment the flames have gathered enough, there is an explosion.

The heat of the flames and the impact of the explosion burned the black blood grizzly, which is recognized by the Adventurers’ Guild as a high-A-rank threat, and it burst into flames.

All that remained was the wreckage of what had once been a monster.

“Well …… I guess that concludes all the expedition requests.”

Alice murmured as if she could finally catch her breath.

At the request of the Adventurers’ Guild, Alice was currently on an “expedition” to resolve requests that had been left unanswered for a long time because they were too difficult to complete in various parts of the country.

For half a year now, Alice has been scrambling around the country to fulfill the guild’s request.

The woman who approached her was the manager assigned by the guild to help Alice with her work.

And Alice explains her conduct.

The truth is — Alice was originally adopted by the guild master of the Adventurers’ Guild for the money to support her family.

By doing so, she was given priority to turn in expensive and difficult requests and send money. In this way — Alice’s goal was to help her brother, who unfortunately was not blessed with the right skills.

However, due to Alice’s difficult personality, she could not honestly tell anyone.

As a result, she would mostly hide her embarrassment in the form of bad-mouthing her brother, as she did this time.

However, the only person who would understand Alice’s embarrassment and understand the meaning behind it was, at best, Cyclo.

This time, too, Alice’s comments led the manager to imagine that he was a bum who gambled and played for fun, spending all that money.

Thus, Alice was spreading a bad reputation about her beloved brother within the Adventurers’ Guild without even knowing it.
