“…… The Lady Saint’s donation, is it?”

The priest frowns.

“Is that not the predecessor’s way of embezzling? Are you saying that this is a donation that the saint herself wanted to make?”

“…… Yes. I let him handle the donation process. I wanted him to deliver the letter as well as the money. I was going to trust him with that as well.

Maria suddenly feels dizzy.

The letter was destroyed by the predecessor on his own. He decided that he would not be found out, as she had been prohibited from meeting with Cyclo, partly at the request of Maria’s parents’ family.

Thereafter, whenever Maria asked for money transfers and letters to be sent, the money was transferred to his own account by deception.

Maria was tormented by regret when she learned of this fact.

She blamed Cyclo. She blamed Cyclo for denying her testimony that she had not received any money or letters. And for not believing …… Cyclo at all.

Remembering the trial that day, she felt gloomy and vomited many times.

She knew that she had tried Cyclo for a crime he did not commit. That is what she understood.

A few days later, she received a report that the Hero had returned to the Royal Capital.

At this time, Maria finally remembered.

In the first place, where did she hear about that trial?

Who was looking for evidence that Cyclo was giving money to the thugs?

Who brought out of nowhere the evidence of money transfers from Maria to Cyclo that never existed ……?

It was none other than the Hero Raven Crowhart.

Maria’s mind was filled with doubt.
