“Let’s try that next!”

“Nn? I thought there’s a lot of people here but it’s the waterslide huh……Whoa, the flow is quite strong too, will you be okay?”

“I’m totally fine! I can’t handle ghosts but I love things like this! Even if it’s stronger than this I can take it!”

“Is that so…..I’m fine with it too but queuing up here will take a while don’t you think?”

There were so many people lining up here that I thought that everyone who came to the pool today was here.

If I have to paint a picture then this line is the equivalent of people lining up to buy the new iPhone on release date. 

When I was wondering if I should line up or not, Suzuka pulls my hand.

“This place’s main attraction is this waterslide so it’s natural right!”

“That’s true but…..we are here on weekdays right?”

There are so many people here that it made me think that today is a holiday. Well, I guess if it’s a holiday there would be way more people than this huh.

On the contrary, the line on the waterslide doesn’t seem to be that congested so if we can get to the waterslide itself, it might not be so bad.

“This many people are normal when you line up to buy bubble tea you know! Rather, the line is going very fast and some even slide down together, see!”

“Bubble tea…….come to think of it, lining up for that can be a nightmare huh……”

Every time I see Aline for bubble tea, there were so many people lined up I wondered where they all came from. I once tried to one to see what all the fuss was about since even students are paying 500 yen for a cup of that but I’m not really a fan.

I thought it had a fun texture to it but if I was asked if I want to line up to buy another one, my answer would be no.

“Look! More people are lining up now! Let’s go!”

“Alright…….This won’t take that long I guess.”

Suzuka’s assessment seems to be correct. We advanced in line at a steady pace and we arrived at the waterslide in just 5 minutes.

They seem to provide floats for this ride too. There were floats for one person as well as one for two and the staff was waiting for us with floats in hands.

“Do you want to slide down together, sir?”

“…..that’s what he said. I don’t mind either way but do you want to ride together, Suzuka?”

“Eh, Uhh…….what should I do!?”

It seems that she is at a loss but seeing Suzuka like that, Staff-san threw her a lifeboat.

“If you slide down, it will be a spinny-ride but if dear customers prefer speed I would recommend going together.”

“Well, if you can’t pick we can line up again you know? It doesn’t take even 10 minutes to get up here again after all.”

“Then let’s do it together this time. Staff-san, for two please.”

“Come on. We can do it again so it’s fine right?”

“I thought you said that you are fine with stuff like this?”

‘You don’t get it!’ said Suzuka as she turned away. However, Staff-san still proceeded as normal.

That’s natural, there are a lot of people behind us so if we already decided on the option then he would want us to get it done quickly.

“Here, sir. It’s ready. Which one of you will be in front?”

“I guess I am.”

“Y, Yeah! Okay!”

As I sat down in the float and waited for Suzuka to sit down behind me, I wondered how steep this slide is.

“Huff, Uwah, we are so high up!”

Our float was washed away by the strong current and we slid down at an amazing speed. I didn’t think that it would be this fast when I watched it from afar, plus, there were a lot of water splashes too.

I can hear Suzuka’s excited voice behind me but I can’t say I share her enthusiasm. I know that she didn’t intend to do this but whenever we slid past a curve or a turn, ‘THAT’ always touched me.

It felt like something soft was changing its shape on my back. What’s this? Marshmallow? No good, I can’t rid my head of these impure thoughts.

Suzuka’s earlier hesitation disappeared off somewhere and she is raring to go again. This time it should be fine since we are probably going to do it separately.
