Juumonji Risa wants to try FPS

The three entered a large arcade.

There were many crane games with sweets as rewards lined up near the entrance.

“It’s amazing, Nii-san, Games! Games everywhere!”

“It’s an arcade after all.”

“Look, Akechi-kun, people! There are so many people!”

“Anything goes huh.”

Risa was strangely excited.

I went to an arcade together with Takeru once a month so I didn’t expect that it would be Risa’s first time at one.

“Alright then, today Akechi-sensei will teach you how to enjoy an arcade.”

“Ehh, really!? Akechi-sensei!”

“Let’s call him again! Akechi-sensei!”

“Akechi-sense~~i!”

The siblings were so hyped that it made me doubt if they were actually shooting a youtube video.

Like, they’re perfectly in sync.

I don’t want them to get me involved in their antics though……

Anyway, I will play along for the time being.

“Hello there, It’s me Akechi-sensei, Akechi Mitsuhide.”

“Are we at Honnouji!”

(TLN: Reminder, Akechi Mitsuhide was the one who set Nobunaga up at Honnouji)

“Now, an arcade is where you come to play and have fun. But firstly, we need some coins.”

“So plain! You’re so plain Mitsuhide-san!”

Risa retorted on the name while Takeru retorted my teaching method.

Also, calling me Mitsuhide-san does make me feel awkward given my previous life name so please stop.

I was the one who brought up Akechi Mitsuhide first though.

For the time being, we exchanged our 1,000 yen bills for ten 100 yen coins each.

“It kinda feels like you’re rich when you have a 1,000 yen bill but it doesn’t feel the same when you turn it into coins huh…….”

After Risa exchanged her crumpled 1,000 yen bill, she calmed down a little.

“Wow, amazing, this coin was from 30 years ago.”

“You focused on that?”

It’s like I get to see various sides of Risa today.

It made me think that I really had a few chances to interact with Risa so far.

“Okay……”

Led by Risa, whose eyes are glittering at everything she sees, we walk deep inside the arcade.

Our destination is a corner filled with real authentic video games.

It seems that she prefers this type of game more than the crane and darts games at the entrance.

“This is it, I’ve always been wanting to try something like this.”

“An FPS!”

Risa stopped in front of a zombie game in high spirits.

……….FPS?

This game which seems to target young audiences is definitely not an FPS game.

A game that kindergarten kids or elementary schoolers can enjoy with their parents definitely doesn’t count as an FPS.

(TLN: FPS here takes a narrow meaning for Japanese as it means competitive online shooter)

“It has become very popular lately isn’t it! The games that you shoot people online! I want to try this FPS thing!”

“The games that you shoot people online……..?”

What Risa is pointing toward is definitely a zombie game.

Is this an online zombie shooter though?

No matter how I look at it, this zombie game is definitely offline right…….

Even though I’m pretty much all about galges, RPGs, and Smash Bros, I think I know what an FPS game is.

Besides, there are gun-shaped controllers at the game booth.

FPS!?

An FPS game is the one where you use an authentic game controller or keyboard and mouse to shoot right.

It’s not the type of game that uses a gun-shaped controller with its trigger as the main button.

Anyway, this is definitely not one.

Takeru disappeared somewhere before I knew it and I was the only one who can point that out.

“Y, Yeah, FPS huh…..”

“Yes! Let’s FPS together Akechi-kun!”

I can’t.

I couldn’t even correct Emi when she ran down the slide.

It seems I haven’t grown up one bit since then………

The game booth itself is like a photo booth so we head inside.

“Recent FPS games are so amazing aren’t they. This one is so immersive…..”

“I heard they developed a box-shaped console that let you feel the wind and water splash lately.”

“That’s like a 4DX in a movie theater. Hmm, so modern FPS games are already that advanced huh.”

At this point, she just wants to say the word FPS out loud right……?

Since I’ve already played along this far, I can’t possibly tell her that it’s actually a zombie game now…….

Come to think of it, she did think that she might encounter ghosts like a slit-mouth woman at an arcade huh.

……..by the way, where did your brother run off to, Risa?

I don’t think I’ve seen him ever since you dragged me here though…….
