“Yang Ning, come to the backyard. We will talk there.” Yang Luoyang said while looking at Yang Ning with his darkened gaze. His darkened expressions and ragings gaze were enough to send shivers down one spine.

His deep voice was low and clear but his authoritative tone was showing that he wasn’t calling her to the backyard for something good or to have a conversation with her.

Yang Luoyang gritted his teeth when rather than trembling in fear and lowering her eyes in front of him, Yang Ning was looking straight into his eyes as if challenging him.

” Xing Bao, come and drag the Young Lady to the Backyard. Also, get the thing that I asked you to bring from the storage.” Rather than giving empty threats, Yang Luoyang ordered Xing Bao to drag Yang Ning to the backyard as if she is reluctant to walk there herself.

“If someone should be punished, it should be me. I was the one at fault for bringing my lady out of the household. Please punish me instead, My lord.” Xiaowei wept miserably but Yang Luoyang chortled at her pleading to him for Yang Ning’s sake and kicked Xiaowei who was kneeling on the ground.

” Do you think you will be spared from getting punished? Along with your lady, you will be punished tonight as well. A servant like you should stay within her limits, how dare you speak up for your lady in front of me?”

Yang Ning, who was standing there calmly, clenched her fists in fury when Yang Luoyang kicked Xiaowei and she fell to the ground.

Her smiling eyes were now filled with rage and fury. He shouldn’t have touched Xiaowei. He shouldn’t have done that.

” Lady Yang Ning, Please don’t make things difficult for me and walk to the backyard yourself. Otherwise, I will have to ask the Guards for help.” Xing Bao said as she stepped forward to take Yang Ning to the backyard for her to get her punishment.

Yang Ning gritted her teeth and looked at Xing Bao, who approached her to drag her to the backyard with a frown. Before Xing Bai’s hands could touch her, Yang Ning grabbed her hand and snapped her wrist and stayed like this for a few moments.

Xing Bao was caught off guard by Yang Ning’s attack and yelped in pain, ” Ahh! Are you crazy? What are you doing?”

” You bitch! Leave my hand.” Xing Bao shrieked in pain, forgetting all titles and courtesies when her hand was on the verge of breaking.

Yang Luoyang was surprised when Yang Ning suddenly twisted Xing Bao’s wrist, meanwhile, Chang Ah was panicking to see her maid crying out like a mad woman and swearing at Yang Ning in front of everyone.

She was furious at Yang Ning’s unexpected attack, but she was also troubled that Yang Ning might use this behavior of Xing Bao against her later on.

” Yang Ning! What are you doing? Leave her hand right away. Are you trying to pick a fight with me?” Yang Luoyang bellowed at his brazen daughter who was acting like a maniac.

Yang Ning smirked at everyone panicking and chuckled at the way Xing Bao was wiggling in pain and crying hysterically while struggling to release her wrist from her grip.

” Aiya, I am so sorry. I was so scared that rather than holding onto your hand, I mistakenly twisted it. Are you alright?” She finally released her grip over Xing Bao’s wrist and showed her fake concern.

Xing Bao stepped a few steps away from Yang Ning as she was worried that she might attack her again.

Those few seconds were the most agonizing seconds of her life. It felt as if she almost broke her wrist.

While Xing Bao was checking if her hand was alright or not, Yang Luoyang glared at Yang Ning and roared at her, ” Do you think you can avoid getting punished tonight by doing this? Guards! Come and grab her.” Yang Luoyang ordered the guards to take Yang Ning away.

If she isn’t listening to him like this, then he will have to use harsh ways to teach her a lesson. The guards moved in action and as they were about to come close to Yang Ning, an unfamiliar voice interrupted them in action.

“Lady Yang Ning, is there something wrong?”
