114 Young Master IV

“Milady, Here are the fruits that you asked for,” Xiaowei said as she put down the tray filled with seasonal fruits on the table.

After returning to her chamber from the dining room, Yang Ning had Xiaowei bring some fruits for her to eat from the kitchen.

Even though she already had lunch with everyone, she wasn’t full yet. How can she eat to her heart’s content in such a suffocating atmosphere?

At first, that brat Yang Jian didn’t let her in peace as he kept taking away the dishes that were placed in front of her.

When she decided to fill up her stomach with rice and side dishes, Yang Luoyang and Chang Ah ruined the whole mood with their ridiculous words.

How can they put so much pressure on a little boy like him? Even though he is rude and annoying, it’s still not the right thing to do.

However, what can she expect from them other than pushing someone to their wits end?

“Xiaowei, can you tell me more about the little kid? Has he always been this rude and mean to everyone?” Yang Ning asked casually as she took a piece of peach from the tray filled with delicious fruits.

Xiaowei was surprised by the way Yang Ning described Yang Jian and asked about him. It’s not like she is meeting him for the first time.

Yang Ning noticed the confusion on Xiaowei’s face and supported her question with extra information. ” Ah, I am asking because it’s been a long time since I met him, and I cannot recall much about him after I fell sick.”

She made an excuse and blamed her sickness for her forgetfulness.

Xiaowei nodded and didn’t think much about her excuse. It was true that in the last three months, Yang Ning has been suffering physically alot and has fallen sick many times than before.

Not only did she become forgetful during this period but her attitude changed a lot as well. Sometimes she wonders if she is the same Yang Ning that she used to serve in the past or someone else.

“Since Young Master is the only son of Lord and Madam, he has been pampered and spoiled by everyone.” Xiaowei started.

She hesitantly glanced at Yang Ning to see any changes in her expression. She was worried that Yang Ning would feel envious of Yang Jian and get sad because of it.

She is also the eldest daughter of the Yang Household after all. However, she was never given equal treatment as Young Master Yang Jian.

If Yang Jian has been spoiled with all the love and care, Yang Ning has been wounded with harsh words and cruel punishments.

However, to her surprise, rather than looking upset about it, Yang Ning was listening to her words intently as if she was telling a folktale.

” In the household, no one dares to go against him or make him upset. Otherwise, that person will get to face the wrath of His Lordship and Madam Chang Ah.” Xiaowei added hesitantly.

” There was a maid who once mistakenly served him plain milk instead of milk with nuts. It wasn’t even a big deal and the maid even suggested bringing another glass of milk immediately.”

” However, the Young Master got so angry at her for making him drink plain milk that he kicked the maid in the abdomen and started crying afterward.”

” He kicked her in the abdomen? That little kid?” Yang Ning was shocked when he heard about the dark past of the little kid.

He was looking so miserable earlier when Yang Luoyang was lecturing him about coming first in the examination. Looks like he is not innocent either.

How can a young boy like him kick someone in the abdomen over such a small matter?

Xiaowei nodded and continued, “Yes. He not only kicked her but also swore at her and humiliated her in front of everyone.”

“When Madam found out about it, she got so angry that she slapped the maid on her cheek because she made the young master cry. In the end, that maid was kicked out of the household for not taking care of the young master properly.”

“Since that day, no servant dares to upset the Young Master. Because if he complained about someone to His Lordship and Madam, that person is bound to be punished or kicked out of the household without any explanation.”

Yang Ning was shocked when she found out the impact of Yang Jian’s words on Yang Luoyang and Chang Ah.

No doubt he was smirking at her earlier and irritating her at the dining table. Even though she is his elder sister, he has no respect for her.

How can he respect her when his parents never taught him to respect anyone? Because since a young age, the little boy has been taught to treat others like trash.

What was she expecting anyway? He is Chang Ah and Yang Luoyang’s son after all.

He will only learn what his parents have taught him. And since a young age, he has been taught to treat others like animals and swear at them, and hit them whenever he wants.

He can do anything and get away from it. Because Yang Luoyang is there to take his side.

“If they cherish him so much, then...why did he go to the academy which is far away? Is there no academy in the capital?” Yang Ning asked curiously.

She cannot understand how Chang Ah managed to part away from her son when she coddles him this much.

” There is. However, the academy Young Master attends, is known for training the boys to become warriors and leaders of the future. Only nobles and members of the royal family can attend this academy.” Xiaowei said.

Yang Ning understood why Yang Jian was sent to that academy at such a young age. Yang Luoyang doted on him since he is the only one who could carry his name in the future. That’s why he has high expectations of him and wants him to become the best leader in the future.

“Looks like they have decided to ruin the future of a young boy as well.” Yang Ning murmured in a low voice and shook her head in disappointment.

She also has a younger brother and is close to him. However, she never encourages him when he does something wrong and even smacks him if he does anything wrong.

He gets angry or even shows tantrums for a while but after some time passes by, it becomes a meaningful lesson for him and he understands why she punished him at that time.

Yang Jian is also a kid after all. He should be taught a lesson if he does anything wrong. However, if he continues to be encouraged like this to treat others like shit, she is scared that he will become a monster in the future.

‘ Why am I investing my energy in this? I should focus on leaving this place as soon as possible.’ Yang Ning sighed and continued to fill her stomach with the fruits.

Until she finds a solution to go back to her world, it will be better if she maintains a low profile and doesn’t do anything out of the ordinary to create more trouble for her.
