448. The Suppressed Giant Kun, Merely an Avatar?

"Hum." Soon, a whirlpool formed on the sea surface, followed by a trembling of the entire ocean. Then, towering waves rolled in, forming a thousand-mile-long giant Kun in the void. The Kun was indeed not dead. The shattered ice reformed, once again constituting the giant Kun.

"What a formidable giant Kun!" Lin Fei inwardly applauded.

However, he wasn't surprised. Such a powerful exotic beast, the mythical Kun from legends wouldn't fall so easily. It was impossible!

Even with his great strength, Lin Fei didn't believe he could effortlessly slay such a beast, especially one surpassing even god-level entities in myths.

"What exactly are you?" Lin Fei pondered. "Like the Kun but not quite the Kun. Yet, you're definitely not a god-level exotic beast!"

Lin Fei's voice echoed through the void like thunder.

"Has the human Martial King become so powerful now?" the Kun mused. "Or has the world changed too much during my slumber? Human, you are impressive. You are the first to confront my incomplete avatar with the body of a Martial King."

"Incomplete avatar?" Lin Fei was taken aback. The Kun, spanning a thousand miles, was just an avatar?

"Can't human Deity Transformations cultivator create billions of avatars? How could we exotic beasts not do the same? This avatar is merely cultivated from a drop of my essence blood, and it's become incomplete due to prolonged dormancy. Yet, ordinarily, it's unbeatable by anyone less than a god-level being. But you managed it."

"So, Senior Kun, what do you propose?" Lin Fei inquired further. Given that the Kun did not initiate a battle, it likely had a request or needed Lin Fei for some purpose.

"It's simple. I need your help with one thing," Kun responded. "At the bottom of the sea, my true form has left some treasures of the Kun clan, sealed within a formation. Over time, the formation has weakened, and my incomplete essence blood avatar alone can't open it. But with your help, we can surely break through the formation."

"At that time, not only will all grievances between us be resolved. Even more, I can bestow upon you a tremendous stroke of fortune! For example, aiding you in your enlightenment! With your current state, you must be on the verge of breaking through to the Martial God realm, right? For you Martial Kings, achieving enlightenment is no easy task. But there are certain treasures that can assist you in your enlightenment. I remember I seemed to have left behind some treasures of this kind."

Kun finished speaking and fell silent. It quietly awaited a response.

It must be said that such conditions were astonishing. Even more so, they were very enticing. Treasures that could aid in enlightenment. Who wouldn't be tempted?

Lin Fei had just reached the peak of the Martial King realm. He was currently pondering how to achieve enlightenment. Unexpectedly, this giant kun had brought forth such a boon. However, was it truly as it seemed?

"Assist me in ascending..." Lin Fei scoffed. "Perhaps such treasures exist, but I doubt you would leave them so readily accessible. And as for helping you break the formation, I must decline."

Lin Fei's outright refusal, without a hint of hesitation, indicated his lack of interest. Helping the Kun could be fraught with dangers – unleashing its true form, empowering it to god-level, or other unforeseen consequences. Even the potential for valuable treasures could not outweigh these risks. Lin Fei believed in achieving Dao through personal cultivation, independent of external aids.

The Kun's expression froze, then darkened menacingly. "Very well, human cultivator," it said with a sneer. "I offered you a chance, a mere Martial King, to assist me. But since you failed to seize it, prepare to die. Your nine bloodlines will help me complete my essence blood and break the formation!"

With that, the Kun's aura surged violently, as if it had been holding back for a long time, and now unleashed its full power.
