Chapter 320: More Hatching

After each of the Region Leaders had given their explanation on how William would be taken advantage of or used, William nodded his head in understanding. "Whatever it is you plotted against me, it’s in the past now, but only if you agree to work under me for a few years.

With your long lifespans, you can spare a few years to take care of my needs, correct? After all, it’s only fair I take advantage of you after what you’ve done."

The eight cloaked men all nodded their heads in acceptance. It was a fair deal for sure, but some of them still had intentions to escape at a moment’s notice.

"And just in case you’re thinking of escaping..." William raised a finger and created a Tier 6 Tracking Array, attaching one to each of the old men in quick succession.

They each sensed the immense power associated with the Tier 6 Array, one of which they had never seen before. It was clearly stronger than a Complete Array that only a few people in the World had the ability to create, but they had no idea how such a young man as William had reached such a level.

Was he a reincarnated God of some sort? It would explain many unknowns.

Thinking this made each of the Region Leaders abandon any thoughts of betraying William’s trust. Even if they managed to break free from the Enslavement Arrays, the Tracking Array would lead him right to them, and no one was confident in taking on William alone.

Even as a group, they were useless. What would happen a few years from now when William had improved even more? They didn’t want to think about it.

William didn’t have time to apply the Enslavement Arrays to each Region Leader, so he asked them to behave and rebound them, leaving the cloud of Illusion Mana active while he spoke with his Companion Beasts.

Since Gu Dianlong had already been freed, he saw no reason to make the four Divine Beasts remain by his side, so he sent them back to guard their respective sections of the Providence Zone, while the Flame Dragon was allowed to go off on his own once more.

Atticus wanted to take out some Magical Beast Tides, so William went with him towards Blue Moon City and informed the Mayor of Atticus’ participation. Only once William returned to the Providence Zone did he lie down for some rest.

It had been a long few days, but they were also very productive. Overall, it made William surprisingly hungry.

I still have that Spirit Cookware Set that I’ve barely used. Let’s see what I can make now.

I think the best way for now is to have one very powerful Magical Beast each in charge of a Region of the Continent. After that, I can assign more and more leaders that will be available in case any one area has trouble.

I still want to keep Atticus and Uri around, but I think the other four can keep doing what they do now for the time being. I can’t make them any stronger, but they can lead their own team to deal with the Tides alone.

With a simple plan in mind, William got to work. Since he liked the Black Turtle Hatchling the most, he started with that.

System, I’d like to purchase nine Black Turtle Hatchling eggs from the shop. William said.

-Select the Rarity of the eggs you’d like to hatch.

I’ll go with Rare this time.

-Total cost will be 180 Potential Points. Confirm?

Confirm.

-Would you like to hatch your Eggs now? Total hatching cost will be nine hundred Potential Points.

Yes.

Just like with the Chasm Guards, nine small black and dark blue eggs identical in nature appeared in front of William, then glowed simultaneously as cracks formed on their surface. From them, nine tiny turtles that looked just like Kamei burst forth, making light chirping noises out of stress while looking for their mother.

William reached out to touch each one of them, to which they all felt his imprint and registered him as the mother. They paddled forward with their little legs, looking up to William while wagging their small tails.

He picked each of them up and held them across his arms as if he was a log for them to climb on. They were all so small, barely even a few centimeters in diameter, so William had to be very careful not to let them fall off.

He used the Wind Element to gently keep them stable, admiring the cute little things for a moment before setting them back down on the ground.
