"Since you're going to be Kamei's little soldiers, I think I'll call you all Kamei Hamei One through Nine for now. He can give you individual names later if he wants." William decided simply. If he had to give each new Magical Beast a unique name, it would be a mess to remember them all, even with the Mind Talent.
Next, William planned to upgrade them all to the SS-Rank directly, which would cost 11643 Potential Points for one Hatchling or a total of 104787 Points for all nine of them. He had more than enough with the last week of Alchemy and Tribulations, but it was still a heavy hit to William's balance.
He spread out the nine baby turtles and started their advancement, one upgrade at a time rather than all at once. Their first upgrade was simply a growth phase from baby to fully grown, then the subsequent ones each resulted in a Heavenly Tribulation of their own.
Because William was concealed by the Illusion Domain during the entire process, he didn't have to worry about garnering the Heavens' attention, and he could watch them grow uninterrupted.
After experiencing so many Tribulations, William realized that the Heavens had their own type of Mana, which was very interesting. He didn't understand how it worked, but he was fairly positive that it wasn't one of the standard Elements.
System, how many Elements are there?

-Request requires 1500000 Potential Points. Yes/No?
Hmm, I'll ask a different way. How many Elements are in this World?
-Request requires 6 Potential Points. Yes/No?
Much cheaper, I wonder why. Confirm.
-There are twenty-seven Elements available on Efretta.
-You have the Basic Elements of Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Ice, Lightning, and Plant.
-Next are the Rare Elements of Life, Death, Light, Darkness, Poison, Blessing, and Curse.
-The Epic Elements are Necromancy, Blood, Sound, Seal, Summoning, Dream, and Karma.
He thought about pushing them to the first stage of the Ascension Realm, but the System informed him that doing so would result in their Ascension. At that point, all his efforts would be wasted.
I can help them through their nine Tribulations though, technically, but I'd need to prepare some unique equipment for them to use and it'd be somewhat time-consuming.
William decided it was fine for now. He called over Kamei through the System, who arrived in just a few minutes. Seeing the nine identical turtles of the same race as him and almost the same size, Kamei almost burst into tears.
"I thought I was the only one left... Where did you find them?" he asked as he looked at William.
"I hatched them." William replied simply.
"You... hatched them?" the Black Turtle couldn't believe what he was hearing. He looked at William's lower area suspiciously.
"What are you looking at?! I'm not the father!" William shouted upon sensing Kamei's ridiculous thoughts.
Kamei laughed and looked at the turtles that had all gathered before him, "What do you want me to do, Master?"
"You will lead them and eliminate any Beast Tides that appear in this area just like before." William answered.
"Are you planning to absorb World Cores? I already told you it's too dangerous, Master. Even for you. Besides, the other three are just as capable as I am when dealing with the Tides. Why do we need so many?" the turtle asked.
"I'll be assigning them elsewhere, but you will stay. Don't ask any more questions about this." William ordered.
Kamei nodded, though he became worried about the future. What would happen if these World Cores were absorbed, and William died? They'd be left to defend by themselves, and chances of survival at that point would be zero.
"I won't die. I'm better than that." William laughed before assigning Kamei his specific positions.
He spent the next day or so working on a few warehouses where Magical Beast corpses could be stored, even implementing a few Arrays that would preserve their condition and prevent the spread of disease.
As long as he stopped by to clear out the storehouse every few months, there shouldn't be any issue with this setup. He could even farm for Beast materials this way, just like how the Chasm Guards would be gathering resources for him.
"This isn't going to be enough." William realized after mapping out the entire Providence Zone. It had taken eighteen days, but he had finally marked down the locations of all four Superior Veins in the area: the Superior Death, Life, Blessing, and Curse Veins.
