Book 5: Chapter 36:1: Demon-Subduing Lightning Dragon Ritual Array, Part 1

“Got it, Elder Brother. I’m absorbing it now,” Sirin said, lounging on a chair she had taken from her spatial storage while sipping fruit juice.

“Our Anti-Entropy has no objections, but I’m uncertain about Schicksal.”

“If they dare to object, just send them to me. I’ll convince them with reason.”

“He whose fist is larger is the voice of reason?”

“I must say, a professor is a professor. You are indeed smart.”

------

“2nd Herrscher and her elder brother, what are you doing in Babylon Labs?” When Siegfried heard that Chen Heng and Sirin had returned to Babylon Labs and remained by the Honkai reactor, he rushed over with Theresa, who had just awakened.

“Hey! It’s the shorty! It’s been a while. Long time no see. What’s wrong? Do I need to seek your opinion when I come to Babylon Labs?”

Now, Chen Heng sat on a lounge chair similar to Sirin’s, sipping fruit juice of the same brand. He paid no mind to Siegfried and Theresa.

“Who are you calling shorty?” Theresa glared at Chen Heng, standing with arms akimbo.

“If I recall right, you should be 20 already, right? Nevertheless, you are only 145 centimeters tall. If you are not a shorty, who is? Look at my younger sister; she is already 155 centimeters.”

“Oh! She is already over 20? So, she is an old aunty?” Sirin appeared stunned. She initially thought Theresa was her contemporary. Unexpectedly, Theresa was already over 20.

“This is infuriating! You are too much! Oath of...”

“...Aren’t you worried we will attack you? Although Schicksal does not have much of a combat force in Babylon Labs, headquarters can send reinforcements in a day or two.”

“That is great. Quickly send people over. Do you know why I’m not attacking you? I have a deal with a person not to cause too much harm to human civilization. However, you cannot blame me for retaliating if you attack me. I have the right to defend myself, after all.”

Once I kill all my enemies, no one can hurt me.

Siegfried could not decide on this matter. He needed to check with Schicksal’s Overseer, Otto.

When Siegfried made to leave, Chen Heng recalled something. “Ah! That’s right. Just a friendly reminder: don’t bother sending any Valkyrie lower than S-Ranked. That’s just simply sending people to die.”

“What do you mean?” Siegfried felt slightly startled. Then he turned around to get an answer from Chen Heng.

“What do I mean? Just look at the sky outside. Don’t you see any subtle changes?”

Siegfried exchanged looks with Einstein at the side. Then they walked a few steps into the corridor and looked out the window to check the sky outside Babylon Labs.

“The clouds in the sky seem darker than previously,” Einstein concluded after some observation.

“Then send a drone or Titan out to find out what happened. You’d best not send a Valkyrie or anyone like that, though.” Chen Heng did not explain what had happened. Instead, he left them to find out for themselves.

“Professor Tesla, please send an autonomous Titan out from Babylon Labs.” Einstein called Tesla on a communicator. Currently, Tesla had control over the Titans.

“Ah! Mophead, is something wrong with you? Why did you ask me to do that all of a sudden?”

“Just do it, and you will know.”

“Alright, alright. You don’t even give me a reason, but you want me to do it.... A Titan will depart after 30 seconds.” Although Tesla grumbled, she still acceded to Einstein’s request.
