Chapter 294 - Where did you buy the confidence to pursue me?

Taking the invitation from the secretaries hand, Suzy read the contents of the invitation and she could not help but raise her eyebrow.

The invitation was from Jiang chu and he was inviting Suzy to dine with him. To others and commoners, it might look as simple as just counting the other person but to those who were well versed in this circle knew more than that.

Though Suzy was not aware of his intentions and plan she was well aware that it was nothing good.

Signaling the secretary to leave, Luo Shen looked at his sister who was deep in thought and was playing with the invitation.

"What do you plan to do? Are you going to attend?"

"Hmm…what do you think I should do?"

"It's better if you don't. That guy must have some intention if he had invited you and it's not like your character if you go just because someone invited you"

"Haha…it has not been that long but you are already well aware of my being? Hmm…nice" Suzy hummed in satisfaction

"So…what do you plan to do?"

"Initially I didn't want to waste my time but…..since I'm too bored these days, why not do something interesting?"

".…" Speechless, Luo Shen decided to order hundreds of candles In advance.

At the end of the day, even though Suzy assured him of her well being, Luo Shen was not satisfied and hence, he decided to follow Suzy and protect her from the dark. Helpless, Suzy could only sigh and let him do whatever he wanted to but at the end, Suzy was still happy to be protected by her little brother. If Mu Jun would have seen Luo Shen's protective behavior, he would have most probably spit out blood and give a long lecture for Luo Shen to enlighten him. Alas, Mu Jun was busy with his hubby and hence missed the chance to be a great enlightener.

Not long after, Luo Shen stopped the car in front of the hotel and helped Suzy to get down from the car. In order not to alert the enemy, If any, Luo Shen decided to watch things from the dark.

Watching Luo Shen's secretive behavior, Suzy could not help but laugh when she thought of Luo Shen's reaction after knowing her identity.

For now, ignoring her little brother's weird behavior, she walked inside the hotel. As soon as she entered, she was escorted to the garden area where only one round table was arranged especially for Suzy. As soon as Suzy appeared, she saw Jiang chu dressed in a green tuxedo looking all more handsome. But to Suzy, he was nothing but just a piece of shit in front of her husband. Ignoring Jiang Chu's passionate gaze, she walked forward expressionlessly.

Though Suzy carried no passion nor an expression that could attract men, but Jiang chu was already entered by her appearance itself.

In the dim light, as Suzy walked towards him, Jiang chu felt that he was already in heaven and was going to meet a fairy for the first time. Looking at the fairy who was dressed in a white short gown that flowed as she walked, he felt his heart skip several beats. At that moment, Jiang chu had already decided to make her his no matter what. With a grin on his face, Jiang chu walked forward to greet Suzy.

Shaking hands as a form of greeting, Suzy greeted Jiang Chu plainly before asking "Mr. Jiang, what made you invite me for a dinner?"

"Haha...I thought I was clear"

"So was I"

"Haha…Mr. Suzy, you have a sense of humor. Why not have dinner first before we get to the matter?" Jiang Chu proposed.

Since she was already here, Suzy thought why not to have dinner and go along with his plan and hence, Suzy decided to dine with him first but who would have thought, someone would take their picture in secret to send it to the media later.

Throughout their dinner, Suzy was very lazy to speak while Jiang chu was busy enjoying Suzy's beauty and hence none of them spoke. No matter what, he could not control his wild thoughts and was very eager to conquer this woman. It was only when they finished their dinner did Jiang Chu speak.

"Ms. Suzy, how was the dinner? Was it according to your taste?" Jiang Chu asked politely

"Mr. Jiang lets not run around the bushes, okay"

"Hoho…Ms. Suzy seems to be very impatient. Before I come to the topic why not have a drink first?"

Without waiting for Suzy's reply, he signaled the waitress to pour the wine that was specially brought from Europe. After the waitress poured the wine into the wine glass, he passed it to Suzy with a smile and stretched his for a toast.

Seeing that Suzy had just lifted her glass, Jiang Chu grinned widely and a cunning smile passed through his eyes.

Lifting the glass to her mouth, Suzy's eyes darkened and she was amused to find that there was an aphrodisiac in the glass and because of the smell of the wine was strong, it was not easy to detect the presence of the aphrodisiac just with a taste or smell but having keen sense, Suzy was able to sense even a minute detail. Grinning inwardly, Suzy sipped the glass if wine elegantly and looked at Jiang chu impatiently.

Finally, Jiang Chu did not dare to delay anymore and came right to the point "Ms. Suzy, you already know that I have a liking towards you and I want to pursue you"

"Oh…What made Mr. Jiang like me?"

"Well…it's hard to point it out since you are perfect in every aspect"

"Since you say so then where did you buy the confidence to pursue me?" Suzy asked in an amused tone. Hearing Suzy's word, Jiang Chu's eye darkened for a moment. Ignoring Suzy's arrogant words, Jiang chu continued with a smile.

"Haha…Ms. Suzy to like you, what I need is not confidence but a sincere heart, but---" Before Jiang Chu could speak further, Suzy cut him off impatiently.
