Chapter 316 - I guess...we found a lead!!

"Ms. Suzy? We need your help!" was the first words she heard from the other side.

Confused, she took a look at the cell phone no but did not found it unfamiliar. Keeping the cell next to her ears she asked: "May I know who is this?"

"Oh Sorry…Ms. Suzy, I'm Police chief Mr. Wang"

"Oh… Mr. Wang, What's the matter?"

"Well that….sigh, can we meet now if you are free? Well this thing cant be spoken through the cell phone"

"Mm…okay then….where would like you to meet?"

"If you don't mind can you please come to the police headquarters?"

"Sure…I'll be in there twenty minutes"

Not long after Suzy arrived at the police headquarters. In order to not get recognized, she had especially worn a black mask to cover her face.

As soon as Suzy got down from the car, A female officer whom she had met before during Qin Yue's murder case greeted her politely and said...

"Ms. Suzy, Chief notified me about your arrival and has personally asked to pick you up. This way please.."

Nodding her head, Suzy followed the female officer to an investigation room. Inside the investigation room, Chief officer wang was sitting on the chair with a frown while looking at the investigation files. As soon as he saw Suzy enter through the doors, he stood up hurriedly and greeted her "Ms. Suzy, sorry to trouble you"

"It's nothing, I was free anyway. Chief officer Wang, what's the matter? Is there any problem?"

"Well…sorry to disturb you Ms. Suzy but I need your help with a case"

"Case?"

"Well, I heard that you have taken care of many kidnapping cases and helped the FBI very much so…I hope you can help me out in this case"

"What's the case? Who had been kidnapped?"

"It's related to the foreign minister. His niece has been kidnapped"

"Foreign department minister?"

"Yes!"

"When did she get kidnapped?"

"Well, it can be estimated to be on Monday but we are not aware at what time"

"So she has been kidnapped for almost five days by now?"

"Yes"

"Any calls asking for ransom?"

"No..there has been no call from an unknown number during the past five days"

"Any clue?"

"No…we have been investigating from two days but we have not had any clue for time being"

"Two days?"

"We were notified two days back. That girl usually stays in her apartment. When their parents could not call reach her for two days they went to her home but did not find her anywhere. They had even called her friends but they did not get any clue so they registered a complain three days back"

"hmm…"

Passing the investigation file to Suzy, he said "This is the details about the girl, her call details and the record of our current investigation"

"hmm…" While going through the files, she accidentally found a picture of the corpse. Lifting it up, she said "This..?"

"Oh..sorry. This is the corpse of a young girl we found a week before near the bank of the river"

"Okay.." After passing the photo to the chief officer Wang, she continued to look through the investigating details and frowned "Chief officer Wang, it's hard for me to asses with only these many details in hand. I guess it would be better if we start from the scratch"

"Don't worry, we have already decided to reinvestigate things from the start. I have the hunch that we might have missed some clues…"

"So…when are we going?"

"If Ms. Suzy is okay with it then we can go there now"

"Sure…Please lead the way…"

With a group of special force officers, Chief officer wang, the female officer along with Suzy headed to the young girl's apartment.

After reading the case file, Suzy suddenly had the urge to find the mystery behind the case hence she called her secretary and asked her to cancel her schedule for today.

Not long after, Suzy along with the special force reached the apartment where the young girl lived. Because Suzy did not want to reveal her identity, other than chief officer Wang and the female officer, others were not aware of her identity but they only knew that this young lady was here to help them in their investigation.

It was natural that the other officers did not believe Suzy and looked down on her but they were still polite and did not reveal their thought. Even if they did, Suzy would not care much.

As soon as the group reached the apartment, the owner of the building hurriedly greeted them and opened the door for them to enter.

Though not luxurious, the house looked good and spacious. There were two rooms, a balcony, a kitchen, and three bathrooms. Looking around the room, Suzy could not help but praise the young girl for keeping her house clean.

With a hand gesture, Chief officer Wang signaled his officer to look through the house and search every corner in the hope to find a clue. While the group dispersed into each section, Suzy walked around the room casually and looked at the living hall, kitchen and other areas before making her way towards the main bedroom where the girl lived.

Inside the bedroom, the female officer was already looking through the closet in search of clues while Suzy looked around the room with her sharp gaze. While the female officer continued to search through the closet, Suzy started to look through the study table and dressing table. After checking the last drawer, Suzy still did not succeed to find any clue. Closing the drawer just when Suzy rose to her feet, she noticed the waste bin near the study table and through the tiny holes, she could faintly see something colorful. Since they were badly in need of clue, they could not miss any corner and hence Suzy did not hesitate to overturn the dustbin in the hope to find a clue. As soon as the dustbin was emptied, Suzy found a palm-sized gift box lying on the floor. Picking it up, when she opened its lid she found a little doll key bench. The little doll which looked pretty was ruined badly with red marks and messy hair. Looking at the now ugly looking doll, Suzy frowned and asked the female officer "Was this gist here the previous time also?"

"Huh?" Turning around, the female officer looked at the gift box that Suzy was holding and said "Oh yes. Seems like someone sent the gift as a prank" the female officer said before getting back to her work.

After taking one last look at the ruined doll, just when Suzy was about to through it, she faintly saw something under the dress. Lifting it up, when she saw the red marks on the body she suddenly felt that she had seen this somewhere. Closing her eyes, when she tried to remember where she had seen the red signs a young ladies photo suddenly flashed in front of her eyes. Startled, she raised back to her feet and turned towards the female officer and asked hurriedly "The photo which I saw earlier, do you have it now?"

"Uh…yeah, I do" taking her cell phone out, she looked through some files while she said "For emergency purpose, we usually store the data in the system so that we can get it when required…Ah found it "Passing the cell phone to Suzy, she asked, "By the way, Ms. why are you asking for the picture now?"

"You'll know that soon…" After comparing the photo with the doll, without turning around, Suzy said: "I guess...We found a lead!!"
