Chapter 1288: Stepping Foot On The Wrong Place
The Cipher members that were lucky enough to enter into an escape pod and launch themselves out of the submarine saw everything from outside.
They saw a bright beam of energy, half the thickness of the submarine, hit the submarine right on its nose after easily tearing through the defensive force field.
Though the submarine is invisible to the naked eye, when the energy beam tore through the defensive force field and made contact with the submarine, it forced the submarine to appear in front of their eyes.
It all happened in a flash. The beam of energy came, tore through the whole submarine, and disappeared into nothingness.
And the very next second, the whole submarine exploded with a bang, pushing some of the escape pods closer to it, far away.
More than half of their members have disappeared from the face of this planet with no remains left to even find.
Seeing this scared the shit out of them, especially the boss, who is far away from the chaos.
He sits in his escape pod with his two lackeys, looking at the carnage that just took place. He couldn't believe what he just saw.
"What the fuck just happened?"
He asked himself aloud.
"We don't know, sir, but I think we should get out of here. Whatever's out there is a monster that we have never come across. It's best to run before it decides to come here."
One of the lackeys advised.
Hearing him, the boss nodded his head and ordered them to head to Melemele island.
"Head to Melemele island, inform the other to follow close by".
The boss ordered. One of the lackeys nodded his head and talked with the other escapees on the radio.
Out of the 63 members that were present in the submarine, only 20 are left, the rest of them have disappeared.
20 men stepped out of their pods and set their foot on the rocky edge of Melemele island. What they didn't notice was a young man standing on top of a tall cliff, looking at them.
Julian watched the 20 men with a smirk on his face. He is pleased that Gyarados has done his job.
Out of how many, only 20 are left, but Julian needs only one.
He scans the group and his sight soon falls on one man, who is wearing a uniform completely different from the others. His uniform is thick and looks heavy, it is also heavily armored and the accessories on it seem much more expensive.
Julian "He should be the one in charge, huh?"
Julian said to himself.
Julian 'Now is not the best time to ambush them. Even though this place is deserted, people can still come here. I should lure them somewhere. I won't be disturbed.'
Julian thought and walked away.
He knows they will contact "him" when they are ready and when they do, he will find out more about Cipher and what more there is to know about their mission.

Julian returned to his hotel room and wondered when they will contact him. Maybe it will take them a day or two so Julian can't be busy with anything.
So because of this, he decided to take leave from school until he deals with team Cipher.
Julian put his thoughts aside and turned around to see the door of his hotel room open. In walked Jenny wearing her uniform.
Jenny has been a great source of relief for him during his stay here in Alola but she alone won't do it. Julian hopes he finds someone to add to his collection here in Alola.
