Chapter 307 Someone He Deserved -unedited-

Meanwhile, Berry stayed in her hotel to pack her things. She did not join Mitch and Kevin in strolling around the city since she did not want to look like a third wheeler. Plus, she wanted Mitch to have more time alone with Kevin. They both deserve it since their long-distance relationship was not an easy call and yet she admired how the two were working hard to work on their relationship.

Mitch asked her more about what happened to her overnight, but she did not disclose anything that much yet. She bet Mitch was dying of curiosity right now. She would tell her dear friend everything later once everything settled down. She did not want to jinx everything, so for now, she should control herself by talking too much about her current situation.

"And here I am… dying of excitement!" Berry whispered to herself with a naughty smile on her face while thinking of different strategies and waytold make Harry fall for her.

She closed her last luggage and then she heaved a long deep sigh.

"This is it, Berry. Do a great job in securing your man!" she cheered herself.

She immediately asked the hotel staff to help her transfer all her luggage to Harry's room

Harry had appointments but he was good enough to give her his keycard. He agreed with her to fly back to country D together.

She must not miss every opportunity to be with her man and tonight she would make sure they would both repeat what they did last night with their sanity intact! She knew that she was just a rebound but she would not let it be like that for too long.

The hotel staff arrived and helped her transfer all her luggage to Harry's room. She then readied herself to go out and buy some souvenirs alone. She could ask Will to accompany and help her but she did not. Will only treated her as a friend and it seemed like he was not seeing her as a woman but more of as a sister. At least Harry saw her as a woman.

She heaved a sigh as she got in at the service car she requested from the hotel. She wondered what Harry was doing right now. He only mentioned that he would have appointments and meetings to wrap up.

"Sounds like a busy day for him," Berry whispered.

Meanwhile, it was indeed a busy day for Harry since he had to wrap things up before going back to country D tomorrow. Hours passed so slowly for him that he wanted to pull it faster to finish his last meeting.

His initial plan was to stay long. Thus, he had to reschedule all his meetings at the last minute. But after yesterday, he changed his intent since it would be unwise to stay longer, especially now that his primary purpose for coming here was not a success.

He heaved a long sigh of disappointment but immediately composed himself before entering the private restaurant to meet the hospital Director in charge, who approved their investment offer for their hospital expansion worldwide.

The waiter guided him inside the private room and he was surprised to see Cain.

"You?" Harry whispered.

"It's nice to see you again, Mr. Harry Cha. I am Cain Lewis, the Chairman and CEO of Lewis Hospital." Harry introduced.

"But I thought it's…"

"Yeah, Director Gong. You're supposed to meet him and discuss the contract with him, but I decided to meet with you instead. I'm sorry if our side missed to inform you about this." Cain commented. In truth, it was intentional since he wanted to meet Harry without being obvious so he asked his secretary to mention before that Director Gong would be Lewis Hospital's representative in the meeting.

However, things unexpectedly happened and he met Harry personally on the coronation day. He was so clouded with things going on between him and Kimmy that he forgot to ask his secretary to inform Harry's company about the Chairman and CEO to meet Harry.

Harry was startled but quickly composed himself and accepted the hand Cain extended for a handshake.

"It's nice seeing you again," Harry said as he sat on the chair opposite him.

"Let's eat dinner first and discuss things later over a drink?" Cain suggested.

"That's fine with me," Harry answered. The waiters served their meals and both men ate in silence. Harry could not help but think how fate was wickedly playing with him. Who would have thought he had to invest in the man's company who took Kimmy away from him?

But then it was technically his fault that Kimmy got away and he lost his chances by taking too long to see her and get her back in his life. The irony of life was something he could not understand at times.

Dinner finished and Cain ordered soft drinks such as wine for them while he discussed business. It didn't take long as they finalized the matter.

"Our attorney will send you the signed copy of the contract as early as tomorrow," Harry said and Cain nodded.

Harry took his things. He was ready to go and bid his farewell to Cain when Cain suddenly said, "I am sorry if I was harsh to you a while ago."

Harry had a half-smile and said, "it's alright. Kimmy already explained to me the situation and as long as she is happy, I will support her decision and be happy for her Cain. I only hope that you won't hurt her because even though we are apart, I will still care for her as a good friend."

Cain chuckled then said, "don't worry. I won't do that. I will make sure to make her happy with all my might. I honestly wanted to thank you as well for respecting Kimmy's decision. You also have my respect, Mr. Harry Cha. If the situation permits, then we might see each other Cain once Kimmy decides to meet and visit all her friends in country D with me."

"Then I shall look forward to it. I will return tomorrow and…" Harry was unable to continue the words.

"Oh, I know I acted a bit possessive towards Kimberly so don't worry and you can inform Kimmy about it. I will tell her as well and if she wanted to see you one last time or drop you at the airport, I wouldn't be a nuisance." Cain said with a smile. He was no longer threatened with Harry's presence because Kimmy made him feel secure towards their relationship.

"Thank you," Harry whispered before he bid his farewell. Cain walked him out of the restaurant.

Cain looked at his wristwatch. He felt overwhelmed as he walked towards his car because he could not wait to see his princess. The only woman he wanted to be with for the rest of his life. How he hoped Kimmy wore the ring on her finger soon.

She was at the palace at this time, having dinner with the family. He was supposed to join them but he accepted Harry's request to meet earlier than scheduled. Their meeting should be tomorrow late afternoon instead.

Harry seemed to be a nice guy so he inwardly hoped that the man could find someone he deserved.
