At Harry's House, Country D
Looking at her watch, Berry groggily noted the fact that she woke up later than usual. Having a hard time getting out of bed, her knees buckled from her utter lack of energy. Beside her, Harry had woken up early, already showering her with enough kisses that they ended up having another round before he left for work. With her nethers sore and her legs shaking, she didn't bother to get up at all, simply electing to just sleep some more as Harry suggested.
Hours passed, and as much as she hated to get up, Berry had no choice as her stomach constantly announced her hunger to the world. That, and, she still had to report to her work as well.
"Damn…" she cursed upon seeing that it was almost lunch.
Lazily rising up from bed, she walked directly to the bathroom for a quick shower. Another curse came out of her mouth as she felt her body ache all over. She had marks everywhere, and it felt as if her very being was sore and spent. Still, a delighted smile showed itself on her face. It was a good sign, after all. She firmly believed that a healthy dose of physical intimacy like this would be a big factor in the foundation of her relationship with Harry.
As soon as she was dressed, Berry walked out of her room to check the pantry for any food, only to be startled as she saw an old woman in the kitchen. It had caught her off-guard, seeing as she had been staying with Harry for days and it was clear that he had no helpers.
Upon seeing Berry, the woman immediately smiled as she quickly explained, "Madame, I am Nanny Leng. Sir Harry asked me to prepare meals for you and to assist you with whatever you may need. Please have a seat and I will serve your lunch at the table."
Berry, with a smile, introduced herself properly to the woman before sitting on the chair.
"Yes, Madame. Sir Harry had already briefed us about you. You're his fiance," Nanny Leng casually replied.
Berry's face reddened as she gave the nanny a timid smile. Hearing that she was Harry's fiance from other people sounded like beautiful music in her ears. It was more than enough to make her squeal in happiness.
"Nanny Leng… You said 'us…' You mean you're not the only one Harry had briefed on?" Berry asked as she watched the woman serve her lunch.
"Oh, yes, Madame. The three of us from the Cha Mansion arrived this morning. Usually, we're just on an on-call basis. But this morning, Sir Harry asked us to stay here in the house for the foreseeable future," the old woman smiled as she explained. "I will introduce you to Carlos and Dally later, Madame. Carlos is assigned to handle the technical maintenance and security of the house, while Dally and I will be doing the household chores," she finished.
Engaging in a bit more conversations with the woman, Berry found out that the three helpers had already been with Harry since he was young and when his mother died, Harry then bought the house, and would occasionally call the three every once in a while to check on the house. That was until now that Harry had requested them to stay in this house for good.
"So Harry often stayed and slept at the Cha Mansion instead?" Berry inquisitively asked, and Nanny Leng nodded.
As the woman placed her dish in front of her, Berry looked at the old woman in front of her with a grateful smile. To think that Harry had arranged for all of this was astonishing.
"Nanny Leng, please eat with me while we talk more about Harry," She requested with honest enthusiasm. "I honestly want to know more about him."
Hearing the younger woman's request, Nanny Leng respectfully accepted the offer and bashfully sat on the chair just beside Berry.
"Senior Cha loved Harry as his own son. As such, he preferred that Harry would still live with them since they're the only family Sir Harry had left. But I guess the young master will stay here now that Madame has arrived," the nanny smiled. "We are honestly happy that he finally brought a woman here. We thought… We honestly thought that he'd end up spending the rest of his days as a single man," Nanny Leng voiced out, getting easily comfortable around Berry. "Hopefully, Madame is a nice woman, because we strongly believe that Sir Harry deserves to be happy after everything he has been through."
Berry blinked at what she just heard, "You mean to say I'm the first woman he brought here? Didn't he bring Kimmy here as well?"
Nanny Leng suddenly had a conflicted expression that Berry easily interpreted. With narrowed eyes, she mumbled, "So he also brought Kimmy here. I guess I'm the second woman…"
She knew she shouldn't feel annoyed at that fact anymore since Kimmy was simply a woman from Harry's past. The woman was far from being a threat to her, and yet she couldn't help but feel a sting of pain deep inside her heart, knowing how Harry still loved Kimmy.
Sensing Berry's distressed tone, Nanny Leng quickly defended, "Madame, they are not in a relationship. As far as I'm concerned, Miss Kimmy would always follow Sir Harry around, and there's only nothing but friendship between the two of them."
Berry had a pout as she mumbled, "But later, he ended up liking Kimmy too. Sadly, he was only too late in realizing his own feelings. Kimmy already had a man she loved, and she's about to get married in Country B."
Nanny Leng gulped, inwardly scolding herself for talking too much. All of them were aware of Miss Kimmy and how the young Master had ended up following Kimmy all the way to Country B. They were honestly surprised that he arrived with another woman instead.
Now knowing what really happened, Nanny Leng almost cracked her brains out in trying to come up with nice words to comfort Madame Berry with. The latter, however, already seemed to understand her sentiment as she spoke.
"It's alright, Nanny Leng. Don't feel bad or guilty about it. You see, I'm an open-minded person, and this is nothing to me," Berry chuckled. "What's important now is that I'm Harry's present and future." She then gave the old woman a grateful smile as she complimented, "The lunch was good… I'll have to leave to report to work soon, so I'll only ask for you to indulge me with another batch of conversations later."
Standing back up, she then made her way back to her room, brushing her teeth before grabbing her phone and bag. After taking her valuables, she then made her way to her car, starting her engines. But before stepping on the gas, she remembered to look at her mobile phone, only to see a lot of missed calls coming from her mother.
'Shit!'
Cursing under her breath, she quickly stepped on the gas, not bothering to check Harry's message as she drove to the hospital where her father was brought.
