Syna was unable to remain calm, first she was really happy in getting the position of being Sinclair's secretary.
She had an air of confidence around her to get something big soon.
But her world crumbled down immediately just within a few days, now that she had to marry someone whom she did not love. She was destined to be the bride of some fucking Ghost King.
Who showed up into her life out of nowhere along with unveiling the secret of her birth and the gruesome curse, which was certainly unreasonable.
She did not know the answers of the questions bearing 'why' and 'how' the unbelievable curse that had landed on her.
But she felt it unfair to marry someone whom she did not know or can't even acknowledge as a normal human being.
"No, no. It can't be true, magic does not exist let alone some fucking Ghost King."
Her fast palpitations of heart beat were making the body tremble.
"Ugh! But how did that man vanished in air?"
She did not believe into anything but still some things were out of question, that made her get some sense of that 'nonsensical' thing.
"Tomorrow is Monday, I will talk to Mr Sinclair tomorrow. I cannot marry that….t-that man."
Syna was earlier in the state of denial but soon accepted her feelings towards him unknowingly, and now she did not want to marry Joseph at any cost.
That man made her cringe various times in that single hour, with his unbearable proud attitude and perverted stare that was bore onto her.
Maybe Syna was right in her assumption that Joseph was lured towards her just for some bodily pleasures.
"Owh! My head can't take any of this shit more. I have to see Lolita as soon as possible."
Her mind went blank first but after putting the things in two, she started to develop a headache which made her brain seem to burst at any moment, she threw her head backwards.
"To fifth avenue, street number seven."
Syna knew that Lolita left the orphanage four hours before her and would be in her apartment, skimming through any of those writer's gems.
She finally instructed the driver towards her house and he took a U-turn, as initially she just yelled at him to drive aimlessly.
"Would Mr Sinclair help me? If Joseph is his brother as grandpa said, probably he would strangle me to death himself for rejecting his brother."
Syna had many questions and fears popping in her head regarding Sinclair, who was already away to hold back the reins of Spirit realm.
"Both the brothers are ghosts and I do not even know they are actually ghosts or even alive! And I already spent three days with Mr Sinclair, Oh my god!"
Syna was always scared upon the very thought of ghosts and had nightmares of being stabbed by a bad soul, she used to woke up startled, profused badly in sweat.
Her mind wandered, jumping from one throught to other, sequentially.
"Oh my God, that is why Mr President's behaviour changed suddenly because he considers me as sister-in-law."
Syna covered her mouth with the palm of right hand and a pang of pain rose in her heart, she felt her whole life rushing along with the buildings outside, the cab passed by.
She could clearly see her end, her death, an endless pit of misery. Her foresight showed her the picture of an ocean of despair, and Syna felt herself drowning.
She tucked her head backwards again and sighed deeply, some lines appeared on her forehead as her brows creased together as a trace of being worrisome lucidly.
The cab halted with a screech in front of fifth avenue and Syna guided the driver towards the house number.
Some voices snagged her attention as the car pulled into the parking lot of the building, the residents were scattered outside, chattering loudly, with shaky hands she payed a few dollars to him.
After all she spent more than a hour in his car, she forced the driver to drive along the streets without knowing any destination, thus the man deserved to be paid a little higher than usual.
She did not know whether Lolita would believe her or would make fun of her, when she was telling the truth.
"Would she believe my words, she should!"
Syna heaved a sigh and fingers crossed she entered the massive building.
