It was a bright sunny morning that the dazzling Sun shone it's light on every living, biotic and abiotic things. Every living was chirping yet weary because of the heat, which of course wasn't that much in Sydney comparable to other parts of the world.
The new little girl with two long braids, that bind her blonde silky hair beautifully, was sitting in the lounge. Her alluring green sockets were patched towards the forty inch LED, which was showing 'Doremon' cartoon and the blue-white cat was flying with a helicopter cap.
It had been two weeks since she got to that orphanage, and Mr Lorenzo brought that little girl named Syna with him to Sydney. The young man in his thirties travelled all the way to the mysterious forest and arrived back to Sydney with a little baby girl, draped in pink blanket.
His beloved wife argued with him, they quarreled for hours as the wife resented the little girl's existence in her home.
"You brought this baby of unknown origin that was okay but what is more attached it is a curse! A bloody curse."
The wife raised her voice as she was roaming around the room frantically, her left hand was resting above the navel as the right one was supporting her head, which was spinning badly.
"This is a nonsensical thing and do you really believe in such supernatural stories, I can assure you that it is completely non-existent stereotype regarding her family. "
Young Lorenzo screamed out loud as he tried to explain to his wife, who was raging with anger.
"Stereotype! IT IS NOT JUST A BLOODY STEREOTYPE! I heard a woman disappeared on her wedding day and no one ever saw her after that moment."
The wife yelled at her husband emphasizing the words, who was sitting on the edge of the bed, and sighing at the stupid beliefs of his naive wife.
"You heard those things, but no one ever verified and I do not believe in such things. So, please, I request you to care for this girl and give her love of a mother."
Lorenzo shot up from his seat and lunged forward to his wife and almost pleaded to the woman to show some love towards the little girl who was sleeping on their bed, with little hands clenched in a fist with rosy pink cheeks.
"I won't and I would never be able to love her unconditionally. She is born with a curse, Lorenzo. This child...what if she fell in love with another man and refused to be the bride to the Ghost King, the curse can't be denied even if you do not want to admit and believe."
The wife tried hard to convince her husband by narrating all the possible situations, that could rise when the little baby girl will grow up into a gorgeous woman!
"What rubbish are you talking about? She will marry someone by her own will and I will support her in every decision. Will you please stop spouting such nonsense, I already had enough of your balderdash."
Although Lorenzo knew that every single word his wife uttered was true in its meaning and soon the existence of little baby Syna Rhys would become their real challenge for them.
Another maiden disappeared after marrying the crowned Ghost King and never returned to the human realm, Lorenzo, as the former minister of King Dimitri, the lord of Rosario kingdom was appointed to protect the little lady in this life too as the man was given the gift of agelessness.
He needed to provide protection to the little baby who was reborn into the wealthy ancient Addeon family, which were the descendants of Rosario kingdom and somehow linked to the Queen Agnes, the former queen of and wife of King Dimitri.
"Now you are quarrelling with me for this girl? What is wrong with you Lorenzo, can't you foresee the consequences we will face in the future just because of this girl. The curse will be bestowed on us, we will die, Lorenzo!"
The wife yelled at him in fright, she already had imagined every possible perilous consequence that would activate the curse on them. Lorenzo hid the fact about him having the 'curse or gift' of agelessness and searched out for Syna in every corner of grand Sydney, as the Oracle predicted the whereabouts of the reincarnated queen.
"I'm not quarrelling, you are picking up on a poor little girl who is still a baby in cradle! For God's sake, stop this gibberish. I have already decided I'm taking her in no matter what."
Lorenzo raised his hands in the air as he announced his final decision of raising Syna, the generous man raked through his hair as he plopped down in the bed again.
"FINE! Take her in and I will go out! Because I'm not staying here under a lurking curse which will activate any time soon. Lorenzo, I have loved you with all my heart and we decided to spend our lives together, but you had made a big mistake by bringing this girl here. We all will die, you had already made up your mind to be a hero but I can't sacrifice myself."
The wife spoke immediately after she calculated the remaining years of her life, she was young and didn't want to die at such an age. Lorenzo stared at his wife completely stunned, her words hit his ears like a lightning bolt, he felt his life stuck in a thunderous storm of choices.
"What do you mean? Are you implying to divorce? Have you gone nuts, believing in rumours but not me!"
Lorenzo shot up again as he plunged forward in half yelling voice, the man pleaded his wife as a tear crawled down his cheek.
He tried to hold her hand but the lady ebbed and shook it off immediately, she had already made up her mind and was clear in her vision.
"Yes, you understood it right. I'm leaving today and you will meet my lawyer soon. Goodbye Lorenzo."
The door banged loudly as the lady left the room but took his sunshine and hope of living with her, Lorenzo crouched down helplessly as the man sobbed over his pitiful state. He was plopped on the brown carpeted floor with head shoved in between his legs, when a cry brought the young man into senses.
Lorenzo leaped forward towards the little baby girl who had woken up from her deep slumber, the man scooped the baby into his strong arms and a smile graced his lips as he saw her dazzling green eyes.
~~~~~~
Lorenzo brought her up with great care and everything was going prayerfully and everyone was affectionate towards the little girl. Sometimes Lorenzo acted possessive towards her as the little lady was his responsibility and didn't have anyone else that could be considered as her family.
"Ow! BTS is coming live. It's heaven to watch Jungkook sing and yes, Suga's iconic rap, which I saw in a short clip, You even know BTS?"
Little Syna chipped to the boy who was watching Doremon intently, her bright face gave him a lopsided grin as she challenged him to answer.
She was only twelve years old but knew how to get with her things and to snatch what she desired, she wasn't afraid of being scolded or caught as she chipped gleefully and jumped onto the sofa and questioned Domenici while snatching remote from his hand.
"No- don't do that okay. I don't want to listen to those songs. Just give me back the remote."
He sprinted forward to snatch it back and tickled Syna, finally succeeding in the attempt.
"Oh! yea-ah !"
Little Syna straightened for a counter attack as she started to unbutton her shirt swaying her hips and frowning.
"Wait! What are you doing?"
Domenici became stunned, he knew that Syna was crafty but never expected something like that, he nervously gulped.
"What does it look like? Let's leave these shows, cartoons and news, and have some fun."
She took a few steps forward, leaning on the sofa towards the poor boy, she had already scared the hell out of him. Domenici was two years older to her but Syna had an overbearing personality that she was the only delinquent of the orphanage, the little lady often tend to beat the kids, practicing her kung-fu.
Domenici could fathom the punishment he would be given by grandpa Lorenzo, because he already knew that Syna would put all the blame on him. So, the scared soul immediately handed over her remote and dashed out of the lounge, with a red burning face.
Little Syna chuckled at his innocence and buttoned up her shirt, she knew what trick to pull out of her sleeve to handle such trivial matters. She changed the channel and switched the system to YouTube, while a mysterious man sitting on the tree branch, wearing a hoodie laughed at her whole act.
"She is doing perfectly fine, grow up soon, little kiddo!"
The man's golden eyes flashed red as he was watching over little Syna for years, since she was a baby he was following her invisibly.
