Chapter 132 - The Pact With The Devil!

"I'm sorry father but freedom is my desire and no one can cage me, not even the orders of oracles. I'm the master of my own destiny!"

Hestia wrapped her fingers around the long iron stem of the glass and before gulping the potion, which had absorbed the purplish aura which her body radiated and changed into purple from red. Hestia paid her greetings to the king and preferred the freedom over the title of the 'chosen one', the young lady gulped the magical liquor in one go.

"Phew! Hopefully it would work!"

Unsure about the results she wiped off the liquor from her lips, which were tinted with sherry lip rouge. Hestia was still holding the glass, precisely the huge cup in her hand when a feeble knock at the door pricked her ears.

"Princess Hestia, it's Master Valos at your service, your highness."

A polite yet thunderous voice of Master Valos accompanied the gentle knock, which was specific and associated towards that old man.

After greeting the princess and informing her about his arrival, Master Valos pushed the door to step inside but the sight his sinful eyes witnessed that night brought down his downfall and misery to the old man, stripping him off the position and respect.

Princess Hestia was holding a cap, the sight was normal but what alarmed the master of spells and magic was the strange odour in the room.

"What is this stench, princess?"

Master Valos questioned in a quizzical tone as if the old man had sensed some danger, after all how could... a magic spell that could bring disaster remained out of his clasp.

He had mastery in that regard and instantly suspected the princess as no other being was allowed to step inside, and accordingly the preference of the princess to stay in isolation, she wouldn't have given permission to anyone to step into her bed chamber unless someone dared to sneak in...but of course, that was out of the question under high security. The only suspect was the princess, herself, but the query that confused him was...why would the princess would do such a dangerous thing, which could put her life into risk?

"What stench, master? Maybe the wine smell, you know it's red grape one, with strong smell."

After seeing that the old man had already sensed something suspicious in her room, Hestia tried to drop the subject by shifting his attention.

"Drop it princess, please. Why did you do that? Are you still aware of what you have done?"

Master Valos burst out on her, his deadly glare and flashing blue eyes scared the hell out of her, the princess had never seen her teacher angry, let alone the old man talking to her in a loud voice.

"I-I…"

Princess Hestia tried to utter the reason that had forced her to sneak into the library and to memorize a forbidden spell that and unknowingly she had signed a pact with the devil!  The wine glass she was holding dropped and fell onto the floor, producing a 'clang' sound, which alerted the guards out there.

"Princess? Princess…!"

Master Valos leaped towards the young princess who did a blunder to use that spell, princess Hestia's body started to disappear, her silhouette began to fade into the thin air. The old man muttered a counter spell to stop the vanishing process but of course how could it beat the devil's magic. Just then the guards barged into the bed chamber with a loud bang on the wooden door, by breaking it and to their horror master Valos was helping the princess in escaping!

"Old man, you are betraying the throne!?"

One of the soldiers yelled furiously at the master, mistaking his attempt of leaping towards the princess. The soldier draw out his sword to rip off his neck, master Valos needed to decide in a fit that whether he valued his life or get murdered and labelled as a traitor.

The old master muttered a forbidden spell and vanished in the air like smoke just like princess Hestia, leaving a failed bunch of trained soldiers in the bed chamber alone, as the spell had already played it's magic, making the princess vanish into the human realm!

He knew he was labelled as a traitor years ago but now when he had gotten the chance to clear his name from the notorious list of treachery, he rushed towards the kingdom.

Why would not he, when the former Vampire minister and master had finally gotten a clue about the long lost princess, who was abducted from the secure high walls and powerful barriers of Vampire territory at the age of sixteen.

By the morning he reached the palace gate, he wanted to go in and ordered the guards to open the gates. The naive man didn't know he had been charged with such strict false allegations of abduction of the princess that the lackeys on the palace gates were even allowed to insult him, the guards beat him and dragged with hands tied to the main hall of the palace.

Although master Valos was the incharge to teach the young lady the way of royalties and ethics of courtroom along with the codes and conducts of vampire community, he was assigned to her as a personal tutor and had the favour of King Leste's father.

"Apologies Sire, but I believe the princess ran away herself and accordingly my calculations she knew about the curse."

After completing his sentence the old man scrunched shut his eyes waiting for death to greet him with open arms.

On the other hand the King's eyes were beaming with hope that his daughter was alive, not abducted rather she chose to run away herself. He was still thinking about that night and something wasn't right, how could the princess knew about the curse?

The master was escorted to his room, as the vampire lord cleared his name and declared him innocent of all the allegations, and the king settled himself on the throne drenched in his thoughts, muttering his daughter's name absent minded and calling her with affection.

"Oh! my little bean, be safe, my love."
