Chapter 141 - She Holds The Authority

"Why aren't you answering her? Were you fools actually bullying CEO Sinclair's personal secretary?"

Jade furrowed her eyebrows, questioning them once again in a demanding tone. 

Adriana stood there, shifting her eyes from Syna towards Jade, it was unbelievable for her that the authoritative lady sided Syna.

"Not at all ma'am, we just came here t-to talk. A friendly talk."

Adriana immediately took the initiative to drag herself out the mess, which was created just because of a wrong move and the decision to pick up on Syna was a stupid act that Adriana had attempted in a fit of jealousy.

"Oh, is that so? I want to know what type of 'talk' it was, for which you gathered all the staff of your floor, was it something difficult thing to converse that you needed help from others?"

Jade Lombardi knew how to chose her words, after all she was  a princess and was decently educated, the vampire lady had known how to tackle such situations verbally without using her powers, she was glad deep down that finally she was showing off her sarcastic nature after ages.

"W-we are sorry, ma'am."

The petite lady stepped forward and apologised at once, she knew that at that very moment to take sides with Adriana was a loss of her job as well as to invite a good verbal beating for days, which she didn't want to accept in any case.

"Sorry? I don't think you should be sorry to me, rather show your sincerest apology to someone else, with whom you all picked up a fight and…"

Jade lowered her ranging voice with the petite lady, she fully acknowledged who was responsible for that fiasco and could sense that the petite lady whom she just scolded was a mere pawn in the game.

"...and you, whatever your name is, I'm warning you for the first and last time that if you dared to pull out such a thing again, I won't refrain myself from giving your name to CEO Sinclair MacLaverty. I believe you can imagine how he would deal with you "

Jade played with the words once again, threatening all of them successfully. 

"Yes, ma'am."

All of those bitches, who were acting all high and mighty earlier reduced their long speeches to only yes and no, as another one of them replied to Jade.

"I'm sorry, Syna. Forgive me."

The short and petite lady immediately bowed her head and asked for the bride's forgiveness, knowing that Jade would not let them off because they had dared to mess with her friend. 

Of course none of them was aware of the inner thing that both the ladies, Syna and Jade were not on good terms, it happened all because of a misunderstanding which was created by Lord Sinclair, although it was unintentional. 

Syna didn't like Jade after the day when she met her in the ice cream parlor, the bride actually took Jade's words to heart, believing into what she had said that day. Who would not believe her after all, any lady in Syna's shoes would have paid heed to her words, believe that lie but then again she was Jade Lombardi in front of her, and no one could match the level of her expertise in acting out anything.

"It is up to you Syna, whether you want to forgive her or not, either way I would support you, after all these ladies arrived to pick up on you, God knows what was the reason that all of you bothered to bring your asses her."

Jade Lombardi clearly stated that on which side she was on, and permitted Syna to decide whatever she wished to do with them. Although, it was all in Syna's hands, after Jade had given her all the rights and declared her the judge of the matter, Adriana felt that defeat was near her now and there was no way to get out of the mess expect placing aside her ego and apologising to Syna.

'Why the heck is she favouring me? She is hard to understand, man!'

Syna thought to herself because the lady was still stuck in the same assumption of Jade Lombardi, which were certainly not good comments. Jade's current behaviour aroused confusion within her and Syna could not decide which side of Jade was the true one, it made her ponder even more that why Jade stepped out to help her if she was involved in Sinclair?

That day after Jade was gone after taking the ice cream as a reward for his teenage son, who had just awakened his powers on that day and successfully tackled the hunger for blood, Syna quarrelled a lot. Although, Sinclair deliberately asked Jade to play that little 'play' to check how far Syna could go in raising her voice and using the rightful claim she had on the great Sinclair MacLaverty. 

His plan worked effectively and Syna fought Jade, after her departure the bride quarrelled with him accusing that Sinclair was involved with Jade, having a love relationship with her. Sinclair didn't know that the small act would bring him such a ruckus that he had to shut her mouth with his lips, eventually leading the things towards 'bed', whilst he cleared out himself that it was nothing like that and Jade was just spouting nonsense. 

"Well, I will forgive them within a second but if they all apologize to me for accusing that I had seduced CEO Sinclair."

Syna was not ready to give in, she wanted to teach lesson to every single lady who had sided with Adriana. An evil grin graced her face whilst she crossed her arms beneath breasts, she was waiting for their begging because at that moment their fates were in her hands.

Jade giggled inwardly upon the naive reason for all the fiasco because it was not the truth, Sinclair was already whipped by her eons ago and in this life too, it was him who chased and proposed to Syna.
