Chapter 142 - Sinclair's Child!

Adriana clenched her fist, glaring at Syna whilst she tried hard not to show her real expressions of anger which were bubbling within the cauldron of her body!

'This bitch! She is being unreasonable, just because Jade Lombardi is here to defend and take sides, she is flying high. Apologize to her, over my dead body!'

"What are you ladies waiting for? Apologize to me individually, after all each one of you have wronged me, your presence here proves that you are partners in crime!"

Syna raised her left eyebrow and carelessly waved her hand in air when she provoked them to apologise. 

"Well, in that case, I fully support this lady here."

Jade flung her arm out and pointed towards Syna, declaring that she was clearly supporting her and that the other ladies have to surrender no matter what.

"It is all up to you ladies now, all in your hands."

She shrugged carelessly as if the matter was shaken over her shoulders and landed on to Syna.

"I was wrong Syna, please forgive me."

A lady stepped out and bowed her head, cursing Adriana in breath. Another one followed her activity and soon every lady did what they had not expected of themselves to attempt.

"Please spare us, Syna. I would not ever trouble you."

One of them whispered to Syna, only audible to her. The bride just smiled at her naive activity, of following Adriana.

After all the ladies had apologised to her except Adriana, who still seemed tough and fighting. 

"Aren't you going to surrender your ass? What happened, still want to fight?"

Syna mocked Adriana as her lips formed a grin and sheepishly she wished to know what was going on in Adriana's mind now.

"I am sorry."

Adriana calculated the things and decided to apologise after speculating the things which seemed to have been slipped from her hands. Her voice had the tinge of anger yet she tried hard to show an apologetic response, although her hands were clenched.  

"It is okay, I hope from now on no one of you will follow a thought impulsively and blindly."

Syna patted her shoulder with a grinning face with an air of confidence and victorious aura around her.

All the ladies went off after getting heavily insulted by Jade Lombardi. Syna strode closer to Jade after the office of Sinclair MacLaverty became nearly empty, the lady was still confused that why would Jade help her and on the top of it why would she declare her side with her?

"Why did you do this?"

Syna confronted her with a quizzical tone while had already assumed an answer. 

"Errm...because Sinclair had told me to help you out."

Jade scratched her left cheek with nail as the lady hesitated to tell her that it was initially Sinclair who had told her to check on her and then another person performed the same duty to inform Jade about the fiasco.

[ A while earlier ]

Jade entered the building and was about to turn towards the elevator when a feminine voice banged into Jade's ears.

"Jade ma'am...Jade ma'am!"

The lady having the authority was freely roaming in the company when she turned her face to see who was calling her.

"Err, yes?"

When the lady halted and saw Caitlyn running towards her, panting and sweating, her face had utter most worrisome expressions. 

"Jade ma'am, please help Syna. Adriana, Martha and some other ladies went for her."

Caitlyn grabbed her by arm and unknowingly squeezed her hard, which of course did not hurt the ghost lady that much. Although, Jade was initially there to help Syna, but the danger approached her so soon.

"Oh? Some ladies? Where they went and where is Syna right now?"

Jade Lombardi thanked God that she had arrived at right moment and Sinclair was absolutely correct in his hunch, which had caused him uneasiness. The lady did not expect some staff members to be the lurking 'danger'.

"They went towards CEO Sinclair's office. Please, ma'am."

Caitlyn seemed as if she was about to cry her tears out, which was barely staying in her sockets. 

"Don't worry, girl. They would not harm her until I am around."

Jade held her hand and assured the naive friend of Syna, who sniffed like a child.

[ Flashback ended ]

Back into the present after Jade had replied to Syna with the answer which the bride had expected and knew that Jade would say the same thing, her eyes skimmed on her silhouette and that was the very moment Syna saw Jade's big round tummy.

'This bitch is pregnant and still roaming around rather resting.'

She thought to herself pursing her lips in disgust, assuming that Jade came all along to visit Sinclair when she was pregnant with a baby.

'She must be in her last month, but wait why is she here?'

Syna's eyes widened with shock, her mind clicked on a very thought which she didn't want to accept in any way, she had trusted him but was it true? What if it was?

"Oh, I see. Thank you for coming here but I can take care of myself on my own."

Syna shifted her eyes and finally replied to Jade by forcing a smile on her face, while Jade Lombardi held her hands.

"It was nothing at all, I will be here for you whenever and for whatever you will call me. I wanted to say something else Syna...err, I don't know how to put it into easy words but the day we met in that ice cream parlor, whatever happened there was planned by Sinclair and believe it is nothing like that."

Jade tried to clear up the things, although it was a little late but the ghost lady had to accompany her vampire husband to some other country, after arriving back she became pregnant and didn't get the chance to clear up the misunderstandings with Syna.

'Oh yeah bitch, I know what was planned.'

Syna cursed her inwardly as her eyes deliberately slid down on her tummy, she wanted to kill Sinclair but first she had to make sure whether the baby was his or not.

"It's okay, Jade and congratulations on the good news."

Syna tried to show her smile and blessing as genuine as she rubbed her hand on her swollen tummy.

"May God bless the baby."

"Aww, thank you Syna."

Jade became happy at once, assuming that the things were normal again but to her disappointment her explanation and pregnancy made the situation worse. It might have been good if Syna knew that Jade was already married.
