Chapter 174 - Opening The Gate Of Sins 1

Name:Last Shelter Online Author:
Hiro walked out, leaving the Hellfire Tavern with a beautiful succubus who kept embracing his right arm as he walked. Their destination was the Tower of the Death in the Underworld City.

“You can call me Milly, by the way,” she said in a seductive voice. Hiro ignored her. He continued walking silently towards his destination that could be seen from a distance.

At night, the Underworld City was bustling with NPCs passing by. However, they were unfriendly and avoided having eye contact with the others.

The Tower of the Death was located in one of the plazas in the Underworld City. Due to its enormous size, there were three plazas in the Underworld City. All three of them had a building that rose sky rockets through the clouds.

Even though he had been trying to find the end of the Tower of the Death in front of him until his neck felt sore, Hiro couldn’t see it. He was waiting for the Succubus named Milly to come back to invite him into one of the dozens of iron doors that lined up on the tower wall.

“Come on, let’s go in now!” said Milly after leaving Hiro alone for a few seconds to approach the two Tower guards. From their form, Hiro could guess that they were an Incubus.

Hiro walked after Milly. However, instead of entering the tower through one of the doors, Milly took him through an underground door parallel to the ground in front of the tower. When Milly opened it roughly, a very thick dust billowed out and made both of them cough.

“Here, you want to enter the Voiceless Abyss, right?” The succubus wanted to confirm one more time before entering the very dark, square-shaped hole. Hiro didn’t know how deep the place was. He couldn’t see it, even though he had used the demon’s eyes.

Milly left him once more and came back with an oil lamp in her right hand. She didn’t want to bring it, so the girl gave the oil lamp to Hiro.

“You can come down first.” She let Hiro take the lead, looking a bit reluctant to enter the place.

Hiro complied. He didn’t know what awaited him down there, but he had to go there to get the items that were useful for upgrading his sword.

There was a wooden ladder attached to the wall. Hiro had a hard time holding on as he went down the stairs because his hands were carrying an oil lamp.

After going down the stairs until his knees started to ache, he finally arrived at the bottom of the place.

A square room as narrow as the entrance above.

“Catch me!” Milly exclaimed as she suddenly let go of her grip on the ladder. She was very sure that Hiro would definitely catch her.

Since the room was only enough for a maximum of two people, Hiro had no other choice but to catch Milly or he would be the landing site for the succubus.

Thud!

The succubus landed right in Hiro’s arms. Hiro found it strange that her body was so light, even the Blood-Eater Vampire felt much heavier than the girl’s body.

“How long are you going to carry me, NightFall?” Both of her arms moved to wrap around Hiro’s neck and Hiro reflexively dropped her.

Thud!

“Ouch. What are you doing?” The succubus stood back up in annoyance.

Hiro felt that the NPC Succubus was too strange. How could she be so expressive like a player? Hiro began to suspect that the NPC Succubus was actually played by players who were deliberately prepared by the Last Shelter Online developers to drain LSC from lonely players.

In the underground, the air was freezing and humid. They continued walking through the only path that existed in that place. A long narrow corridor, but Milly forced herself to walk beside Hiro with her hands clung to Hiro’s. Hiro let the Succubus do whatever she wanted.

Hiro used the demon’s eyes regularly to check if there was anything in that place that could be of use to him other than the Hell stone that the dwarf NPC was talking about. But, her effort was in vain. The passage was empty until Hiro arrived in front of an iron door filled with the letters that he could read using the demon’s eyes.

“Heaven must be safe, but hell is far more exciting. I promise you will have some fun. Gluttony, wrath, sloth, vanity, pride, greed, and lust, with me, you will never be alone. When you are ready, knock on my door three times. I am looking forward to your arrival.”

The explanation was very clear. Hiro approached the steel door and knocked three times as instructed by the writing on the door. Not knowing what was waiting behind the door, Hiro felt a little tense. There was no way that the journey would be smooth.

However, after knocking on the door for a few minutes, it still didn’t budge at all. Nothing happened.

“Why?”

Hiro tried to pull and push the door forcefully. However, because it couldn’t be opened with physical force, it didn’t budge from where it was.

“It says that you have to knock on the door three times only when you’re ready, NightFall. If the door doesn’t show any reaction, then you probably aren’t ready yet.”

Hiro frowned. He was more than very ready to enter the room beyond the door. However, what was meant by being ready here seemed to be different from what was in Hiro’s head at the moment.

He thought again and repeated the sentence he had read. Trying to arrange pieces of an irregular puzzle. Meanwhile, Milly was leaning against the wall, unwilling to give any hints. She just waited for Hiro. Hiro was sure that the succubus was programmed to do so.

-With me you’ll never be alone, all the seven deadly sins.- Hiro believed that all of them are related. Still, he didn’t have a clue.

Frustrated because having waited there for too long, Hiro furiously banged on the door in front of him, full of anger.

“Dammit!”

But suddenly, a transparent screen appeared in front of the door.

Ding!

[Wrath has been activated]

“Huh?”

Feeling that he had found an answer to his question, Hiro tried to do something.

“You, whoever the demon is hiding behind the door! Come out! I will challenge you to a fight! I can definitely beat you easily. I will send you to hell faster!”

Ding!

[Pride has been activated]

“Well. So that’s what it means if I’m ready or not, huh?”

Hiro continued to spit out words that matched the type of seven deadly sins on the door, and he managed to activate it. However, there was one sin that still couldn’t be activated, even though he had tried to revise the sentence many times.

“The sin of lust.”

And Milly laughed at Hiro for using vulgar words to try to activate it.

“Stop it. You broke my ears! Why don’t you try another way?”
