Chapter 639: Chapter 639 - Trapped Beneath the Earth
Broken continued his journey through the damp cave, Aerin walking beside him while the two Elven Knights followed silently a few paces behind.
[Name: Broken]
[Level: 147]
[Class: Unique - Super Novice | Unique - Royal Blacksmith | Unique - Rift Digger | Unique - Elemental Forger]
[Health: 15,575 | Mana: 8,278]
[Strength: 1,124 | Agility: 524 | Intelligence: 579 | Constitution: 858 | Stamina: 884]
[Charisma: 100 | Luck: 57 | Dexterity: 50 | Survival: 30 | Perception: 20]
[Available Stat Points: 280]
[Weight: 4,877/6,744]
Broken checked his overall status, noting with satisfaction that his level had reached 147. It was a significant milestone, especially considering his passive leveling over the past year in Yunatea's time.
Still, he knew much of his current power came from his Invincible Paragon armor set, which granted him substantial stat boosts.
Curious about his base stats without any equipment, he decided to unequip the armor.
As he removed the gear, his status display adjusted, and he found himself in just a plain white T-shirt and a pair of brown shorts.
[Health: 3,830 | Mana: 6,828]
[Strength: 915 | Agility: 384 | Intelligence: 569 | Constitution: 383 | Stamina: 365]
[Charisma: 100 | Luck: 57 | Dexterity: 50 | Survival: 30 | Perception: 20]
[Available Stat Points: 280]
[Weight: 23/5,490]
Broken frowned as he reviewed his raw stats, the glaring disparity between his current Stamina and the boost from his Invincible Paragon Armor immediately apparent.
The Armor greatly increased his Stamina, but it was clear that without it, his endurance would plummet. This dependency troubled him he needed to raise his Stamina stats
independently to avoid relying too heavily on gear for survival.
His Constitution, on the other hand, was impressively high, thanks in large part to the Abyssal Shatter Cuff, a Legendary-grade bracelet he had acquired after defeating Morel. It added a substantial 200 points to his Constitution. It was worth 20 level stats!
Now, with 280 unallocated skill points to spend, he mulled over his options. He needed to ensure a careful balance between his stats.
Strength was a priority since many of his weapons were melee-focused and required a solid physical foundation.
But he couldn't neglect Magic either, as his Eternal Flame Scythe skill dealt significant damage through Elemental Magic. Additionally, his bow required dexterity and precision, meaning a balanced distribution across attributes was essential to maintain versatility in combat.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"Broken..."
At the same time, he couldn't afford to drop his guard.
Were the elves really on the opposing side?
Damn it.
Thinking about it all made his head spin.
I hate these kinds of situations.
Broken suddenly stopped in his tracks.
Aerin turned to him with a curious expression. "What is it, Broken?"
Behind them, the two elven knights halted as well.
Without a word, Broken reached for Aerin's hand, gripping it gently as he turned to address
the knights.
"Could you give us a few moments of privacy?"
The knights exchanged a glance.
The way Broken had phrased his request made them wonder-was this a romantic matter?
Aerin glanced at Broken. "Broken?"
"I want a few moments alone with you," he said. "Let's walk a bit further ahead and leave them here for now. I don't want anyone to see what we're about to do."
Aerin's brow furrowed briefly, but she nodded in agreement.
Together, they walked further into the dim cave, leaving the two knights behind.
The elves exchanged curious glances.
What could possibly be so urgent that Broken needed privacy with Aerin?
As the pair disappeared into the shadows ahead, the knights' thoughts lingered on the unusual situation. Their orders were clear: observe Aerin and Broken.
However, there was nothing in their directive that explicitly prohibited the two from engaging in something personal-romantic or otherwise.
"It seems Ms. Aerin has inherited her mother's interests. She appears to have a fondness for
humans."
The other knight shrugged. "And why not? She isn't a pure elf anymore. Honestly, I have no opinion on the matter."
"As long as she doesn't endanger herself or the clan, I suppose it's none of our concern."
With that, they returned to their silent vigil.
But seriously, what were Aerin and Broken planning to do by walking ahead?
Did they really think they'd find a way out deeper in the cave?
