When Atlas entered the General Store, he noticed a young woman behind the counter looking bored while reading a book. He noticed she looked up at him, but her expression was shocked and puzzled.
'New people are that rare now days?' he thought while scanning the shop.
That's when he spotted a fridge-looking machine with dozens of drinks inside, causing Atlas to approach it. He went through all the different choices and found a cherry-looking crate of eight glass bottles.
Atlas picked up four before approaching the counter and putting them on there, causing the young woman to put her book down. He walked back to the fridge and picked out several more flavors.
He then picked up some random bits and bobs he needed while traveling across Zarandar. Ten minutes later, Atlas stood at the counter. As the worker started counting everything, he spotted a box with packs of cards that the commander spoke about.
'Let's see what they're all about,' Atlas thought before picking up a pack and placing it next to the finished pile of goods.
The young woman looked up at him and smiled, ''Welcome to Arashan's only General Store. That will be two gold with ten silver.''
Atlas paid for his items before storing them in his storage and leaving the store. He then started searching for an inn for the night. While traveling, he admired the buildings that looked like they had come straight out of Persia.
There was a building made from beautiful sandstone and decorated with colorful fabrics, making each one stand out from the one next. After ten minutes of searching, he found one in the northern part of town.
He entered the inn and noticed it was empty. The owner sat behind the counter, looking bored. Atlas approached, catching the man's eye and causing him to speak, ''Evening traveler. How can I help you?''
''I want a room for the night and two meals,'' Atlas replied while placing some silver coins on the counter.
The owner smiled, ''Yes, young man. The biggest room is on the first floor. It has its bathroom. You can have that one.''
Atlas thanked the man before entering his designated room, sitting on the bed, and falling backward. He pulled out the Mystic Legend pack to see a goblin drawn on it, which caused him to think, 'Why do so many things look like they belong on Earth?'
He shook his head before tearing open the packet, only to see four cards with a monster or adventurer on the front. Atlas examined them and noticed three were creatures, and the other was a lion man.
'Interesting,' he thought with a curious expression.
'A Wendigo, Wild Orc, and a Frostbear,' Atlas thought while examining the monster card before turning to the lion man, 'Leo Lionheart, Rank S adventurer in the Lionheart Kingdom.'
The cards provided brief descriptions and essential details about the monsters. Atlas set the other cards aside and examined the one depicting a Wendigo. The card detailed its vulnerability to fire magic.
'Void magic should kill them,' Atlas thought, feeling excited. 'Or I could always rely on my blades.'
While looking at the card, the owner knocked on the door and entered, holding a plate of delicious-looking meat. The aroma made his stomach rumble as the man put it on the table before leaving the room.
Atlas stowed the card, set aside his armor, and then sat down to eat. He finished his meal in about ten minutes, feeling satisfied. Afterward, he crawled into bed, got comfortable, and drifted asleep. Explore stories on m,v l'-NovelFire.net
The next morning, Atlas woke up feeling refreshed, but it seemed to be raining as water lashed against the room window. Ten minutes later, he walked into the bathroom to wash up before leaving. An hour later, Atlas left the inn after breakfast and bid the owner farewell. Once he left the town, he activated Call Of The Void and summoned twelve Voidstalkers who chirped in happiness.
Atlas smiled when he saw this before ordering them to find the Wendigos. The little monsters agreed and rushed off into the surrounding jungle. It only took some of them half an hour to return.
They led him to the monster nest, where two Wendigos were guarding a cave entrance while eating some meat. Atlas quickly scanned them to find out their ranks.

[Use your Void Blast to deal with them]
When Atlas saw their ranks, he unsheathed his blades before casting Void Step to appear between the two creatures. He lashed out and stabbed them through the skulls, causing them to drop lifeless.
Once they were dead, Atlas cut out the orange Monster Cores before storing them away and entering the tunnel. As he stepped inside, the scent of blood and gore hit his nose, causing him to gag.
Atlas composed himself before entering the first chamber, where he saw a dozen Wendigos feeding. He recoiled in horror but quickly focused, aiming Nightblade at the group's center and casting Void Bomb.
An azure glow filled the chamber, catching the Wendigos' attention just before the spell detonated. The explosion rocked the tunnel, and Atlas swiftly cast Void Guard to shield himself from the shockwave.
As the dust settled, enraged roars echoed through the chamber. Atlas readied his blade, anticipating the first Wendigo's attack. The creature lunged from the shadows, but Atlas swiftly sidestepped, driving his weapons into its flank.
The Wendigo staggered, but before it could recover, Atlas cast Void Bullet. The spell erupted within the creature, causing its body to burst into a mist of blood and gore. He continued fighting more of the monsters by deflecting their claws and casting Void Wave to deal with their numbers advantage.
After an hour of fighting, the last monster dropped to the ground while blood poured out of the large hole in its chest. Then, Atlas went around collecting thirty orange Monster Cores that littered the Wendigo nest.
By the time Atlas reached the back of the chamber, to find a treasure chest full of random stuff. He stored it away before returning to the town while dragging the Wendigo leader by the leg.
When he made it back to the gate, the town guards rushed out and were horrified when they saw the creature's body behind him. The commander he had spoken to before appeared in shock.
''Did you deal with them alone?'' the older man questioned in a firm tone.
Atlas nodded, ''If you follow my tracks, you will reach the nest with all the dead bodies inside,'' he informed the commander.
The town guards and the man rushed into the jungle, prompting Atlas to chuckle as he sat down, waiting for their return. Ten minutes later, the commander emerged and expressed gratitude for Atlas's assistance during the town's crisis.
"What's your name, boy? I want to send word to the provincial capital to let them know of your deeds," the commander asked eagerly.
"Atlas," he replied. "I'm heading west now—I need to reach the Greenskin Confederation before the snow arrives."
After that, Atlas left the town behind and traveled south through the Arashan Jungle before reaching a beautiful grassland stretching for miles. Atlas headed to the nearest city, Bahramiya, where he wanted to find an escort quest.
Atlas walked steadily through the sprawling landscape, the sun casting long shadows on the golden terrain. As he approached the city's outskirts, the landscape began to change. The distant silhouette of its walls grew clearer, bustling with activity.
The road to the city was lined with merchants and travelers, each setting up their stalls or resting before entering the city gates. Atlas joined the line of people, his gaze shifting from colorful tents displaying exotic wares to caravans laden with goods.
He moved forward while taking in the lively atmosphere. The air was filled with the murmur of conversations, the clinking of trade goods, and the occasional shout of a merchant promoting their wares.
When Atlas reached the entrance, the Achaemenidian guards requested a silver coin for entry, which he promptly paid. Stepping through the gates, he was greeted by buildings rising at least four stories high, adorned with vibrant, colorful fabrics that draped between them.
The roads were paved with the same exquisite sandstone used to construct the buildings, and their smooth surfaces reflected the city's beauty. Atlas made his way to the Adventurers Guild, and once inside, he realized it was extremely busy.
Atlas stood in line to talk to one of the receptionists, and it took him close to an hour to reach the counter, behind which a beautiful woman was sitting. She looked up and smiled, ''Welcome to the Bahramiya branch of the Adventurers Guild. How can I help you today?''
He handed over the guild token that the town guard commander had given him, which shocked the woman who asked, ''Did you come across this quest on your travels, young man?''
"Yes," Atlas replied. "I came across the town of Arashan and assisted the guards in dealing with a Wendigo nest that was terrorizing them."
The receptionist nodded in acknowledgment and requested his adventurer's card. Atlas handed it over, allowing her to mark down the completed quest. Then, he asked the woman about quests heading west.
''Just wait here for a second while I look,'' she said before leaving the counter and heading to the backrooms.
