Chapter 139: Nice To Meet You

Atlas waited a few minutes before the receptionist returned while holding a piece of paper and explained with a friendly smile, ''There is an escort quest for the Ironborn Company traveling west to Pytharis. You need to meet the merchant at the western gate tomorrow morning.''

"Can I take it, please?" he asked, causing the woman to nod and smile as she took his card to scan the quest again.

Following that, Atlas decided to see if he could find a bank to withdraw the five hundred gold coins he earned from discovering the dungeon in Tajariyah City. He walked down the main street until reaching the square, where he saw dozens of food stalls.

While standing there, a delicious aroma hit his nose, causing him to follow it through the square until he reached a stand selling all kinds of meat buns, which caught his attention.

A woman's voice reached his ears. ''What can I do for you, young man? Do you want to try one of my creations?'' she said while holding a bun in his direction.

Atlas nodded with a smile before taking and eating the offering, instantly loving its delicious taste. His eyes widened, causing him to order, ''How many of these can you cook until you run out of ingredients?''

''A few hundred, why?'' the stall owner asked in a curious tone. seaʀᴄh thё ηovёlFire .net website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

''I want to buy as many as possible for my journey west that I start tomorrow morning,'' Atlas replied. ''How much would that cost?''

The woman paused momentarily before saying, "I used gold for all the ingredients and spent twenty silver on the spot. I'll cook everything for you if you give me three gold."

Atlas nodded and handed her the coins. He then found a nearby bench, removed his helmet, and let the cool air refresh his face as he waited. While sitting there, he checked his status to see how much he had gained from the Wendigo kills.

'Leveled up twice, which is good,' he mused before looking at the dark clouds above.

It covered the city in a shadow but didn't stop the mana lights from turning on and lighting the street up. Then, Atlas waited another twenty minutes before the woman called him over.

Two dozen boxes were stacked on the wooden bench next to the stall. When Atlas saw the food, his excitement grew. He quickly stored all the meat buns in his Dimensional Storage to enjoy on his journey.

Afterward, he thanked the stall owner and searched for an inn for the night. Ten minutes later, he found one in the western part of the city and paid ten silver for a room. When he got inside, he collapsed on the bed.

Atlas dismissed his armor and weapons before activating Void Realm as he fell asleep. His consciousness reappeared on a path just outside the Second Valley arena, where he defeated the second Void Brute Bear.

He pulled up the monster totals he needed to kill.

[Savage Void Bear – 3709/5000]

[Cave Void Bears – 1584/2000]

[Brute Void Bears – 8/10]

[Void Bear Queen – 1/1]

'I want to get these numbers down even more,' Atlas thought excitedly. 'Combined with my Dungeon Monsters I will have an invincible army to battle Chaos with but I do need even more mana for that.'

He then traveled through another canyon, where over a dozen Savage Void Bears ambushed him from the cliffs above. Atlas bobbed and weaved around their attacks before casting a Void Wave that sent the monsters flying.

'My spells are stronger now; dealing with these weaker bears are easy,' Atlas mused with a growing smile.

As they were caught off guard, he surged forward, stabbing and slicing through the bears precisely before using his magic to blast them away. Minutes later, forty monsters soaked back into the Void Realm, leaving him happy.

Once Atlas was done with them, he continued fighting more Savage Void Bears who tried attacking, but he was too fast for them to catch. While battling with another group, he decides to summon the Death Gorillas.

When the monsters rushed out of the portal, they shocked the remaining bears, but the gorilla pummeled them into the ground. Atlas was happy, but shortly after that, they were destroyed.

'What happened there?' he wondered while looking around.

[Voidwalker. You cannot use your Dungeon Conquerer Class while in the Void Realm, as that is against ********** rules. Please don't do it again]

Atlas gulped when he saw the notification but chose not to push his luck and continued his journey through Level Two. He fought more Savage Bears until they were easy to kill, and he grew tired.

He checked the monster totals once he did this for a few hours.

[Savage Void Bear – 2817/5000]

[Cave Void Bears – 1584/2000]

[Brute Void Bears – 8/10]

[Void Bear Queen – 1/1]

'Nearly half way there,' Atlas thought as his excitement soared due to all the fighting.

Following this, he fought his way through it and only managed to get hit a few times by the massive bears because he was cocky. By the time he reached the other side, he was tired but had killed so many Cave Void Bears that he lost count of his total.

Atlas shook his head before checking once again.

[Savage Void Bear – 2817/5000]

[Cave Void Bears – 1211/2000]

[Brute Void Bears – 8/10]

[Void Bear Queen – 1/1]

'This should be enough for now,' he pondered. 'I will come to the Void Realm every night to clear the bears.'

Afterward, Atlas left the realm after having enough of the killing and woke up in his room. Noticing it was still night from the window, he rolled back over and went to sleep to rest for the coming journey.

By the next morning, Atlas felt refreshed before getting out of bed. He stretched until his bones clicked, then sat down and pulled out some meat buns before eating while watching the rain hit the window.

Ten minutes later, he finished eating and started going to the western gate to meet with the merchant caravan he'd be joining. Atlas summoned his armor, weapons, and Enchanted Winter Cloak, which he wrapped around himself.

It took him nearly twenty minutes to arrive at the gate, where he saw a dozen adventurers lingering around twelve carriages. Atlas wondered what they were transporting, but a portly man appeared with a friendly smile.

''Are you Azhar'Zul? The guild receptionist said you were the last member of the security detail,'' the merchant said in a jovial voice.

Atlas nodded before answering, ''Yes. They assigned me the quest yesterday, and here I am.''

The merchant laughed and introduced himself, "I'm Gus Ironborn. Nice to meet you, young man."

Atlas was then asked to guard the convoy's rear, to which he agreed with a smile. With his hands resting on his blades, he stood ready, waiting for their departure. He observed that the other adventurers kept their distance, which suited him perfectly.

The city guards opened the gate as everyone took their positions, leaving him alone at the back. Atlas shrugged before following them as they passed through the gates and over a bridge.

The column of merchants and two dozen guards, including Atlas, exited the city and noticed the terrible weather lashing the landscape. Most people had umbrellas, but others didn't, which allowed the rain to hit their faces.

Atlas walked behind the trade caravan westward along the rugged road. The early morning fog clung to the landscape in a ghostly veil. The rain from the previous night had left the road muddy, making the wheels of the carriages churn up thick clumps of earth with each turn.

Gus periodically shouted, his voice carrying over the clamor of the wheels. "Keep it steady, everyone! We'll be in Pytharis by nightfall if we stay on course!"

The road wound through rolling hills and dense forests, the scenery changing from verdant greens to the muted browns of late summer. Atlas noticed the occasional flash of wildlife—deer darting through the trees or birds taking flight—each brief glimpse a reminder of the world beyond the road.

As the caravan made its way past a particularly dense patch of forest, Atlas's sharp eyes caught movement in the shadows. He slowed his pace slightly, his senses alert. But after a tense few moments, the forest remained quiet, and they continued their journey.

Soon enough, the day passed quickly, and they arrived at a clearing deep in some woods. Atlas was getting the creeps when looking around, but he could see any monsters lurking around, causing him to step into the tree line.

Once inside, Atlas summoned a group of Voidstalkers and ordered them to scout the woods for hidden monsters. As they dashed into the underbrush, he called forth two Umber-Hulks and told them to burrow in the ground and guard his tent once he set it up.

This caused him to grow tired before checking his mana.

Noticing his remaining mana, Atlas summoned two Rock Wyrms. The creatures greeted him with a friendly nudge of their heads before burrowing underground. He smiled at their familiar gesture before returning to the merchant's camp.

Once Atlas arrived, he set up his camp and the Dark One Runes like the others in the caravan. He started a fire that roared to life as he felt his monsters settling underneath his camp.
