Their attacks were equally matched! Both sides didn’t budge an inch!!
Because of the Crimson Lord’s soul getting damaged and its special ability increasing its powers by ten times, the strength of its chaotic blue lightning has increased to the same power level as Roy’s black aura lightning.
Their expression hardened as their desire to kill each other intensified, and the way they were attacking one another turned more brutal. Roy wasn’t hurt one bit. He was immune to its lightning. But the same couldn’t be said for the Crimson Lord. Its right arm and wing exploded when it got struck by Roy’s lightning.
Feeling enraged and pained, It opened its mouth, releasing a breath of fire toward Roy. It was a level-2 fire. It raised its hands, continuous streams of fire gushing out of its palm and mixing with its fiery breath. The level of fire streaming towards Roy like a wave increased, reaching level 4.
“Haven’t you tried that already?” Roy waved his hand, and the wave of fire simply disappeared. “Fire doesn’t work against me.”
The Crimson Lord’s head hurt at his nonsensical power.
‘This bastard is a cheat. He’s too overpowered!’
Boom!
The Crimson disappeared in a puff of smoke as Roy’s rank-6 fireball exploded on the spot where he once stood, sending rocks flying in all directions and raising dust.
‘Physical and magical attacks don’t work on him, but… “that” might.’ It thought, sharp glints flashing in its eyes.
Suddenly, it heard Roy’s voice.
“Since you are cowardly and too afraid to fight me head on, don’t mind me cheating.”
While saying that to the invisible Crimson Lord, Roy went to end this match directly.
He jumped towards the Dragon’s Tree and reached pretty close to it when the Crimson Lord appeared between them again, once again in peak physical condition. But although it looked fine on the outside, Roy knew it was just one hit away from death.
‘Fuck off!”
The Crimson Lord hollered as a wave of chaotic blue energy burst out, with itself as the center, catching Roy off guard. It hit all of him, throwing him away like a ragdoll. This blow that he took head on was too fierce. It looked like he would find himself on the other shore in no time.
“Like I said, you are only getting that over my dead body.”
It hadn’t even finished taunting him when Roy did something that widened its eyes to the size of saucers.
“Then die, you fucking time wasting bastard!”
He created a platform in mid-air using the special effect of his runic item, Evil Hand. Then, he smashed a foot on it hard, propelling himself straight towards the partially grinning, partially shocked Crimson Lord like a rocket.
The smile disappeared from its face as, in one-tenth of a second, Roy appeared an inch away from it and grabbed its head.
“When did he become so fast?!!!”
The Crimson Lord was terrified by his sudden increase in speed and noticed something different about him.
There was a black flame tattoo on Roy’s face, stretching from his neck and covering half of his face. It was the cause of the sudden increase in his abilities. He had activated his bloodline ability, power boost!
The Crimson Lord tried to move back but realized he couldn’t anymore.
“What did you do to me? How did you… seal my movements?!”
“This…” There was a runic stone in Roy’s hand. He showed it to the Crimson Lord. “It’s the rune stone of complexity and has four special effects. One of them is placing an immobilization trap on the ground. I placed it next to the tree when I jumped towards it a second time. And your dumbass teleported there. All according to my calculation. Do I need to say more?”
No he didn’t. When the Crimson Lord appeared there, Roy’s trap card activated, sealing the Crimson Lord’s movement!
The Crimson Lord felt humiliated. Roy had outsmarted it. It lost against him not only in terms of strength but also intelligence.
“This is your loss…”
Roy glared daggers at it as he summoned Reflection and Shadow Piercer, grabbing their hilts and then pushing them balls deep inside of it. Using the swords as the medium, he pushed his black aura inside of it. It raged inside its body, causing further injury. It was brought near death’s door. Its last wisp of soul was being eroded at a rate visible to the naked eye. No doubt, it was about to die.
Just then, however, Roy heard the Crimson Lord’s confident voice.
“You fell for it.”
Their eyes met, and then Roy’s heaven and earth changed!
The tree and the Crimson Lord disappeared from his sight, and he found himself in a completely different environment.
He was on a rocky area with no trees or vegetation, only countless volcanoes.
There was a sun in the sky.
“Damn this Sun!”
He wasn’t a vampire and thus had no reason to hate the sun, but it was too freaking close to the ground. It’s like it was closing in on him. The fierce rays emitting out of it burned Roy, giving him a first-hand taste of what it meant to be burned alive.
Under the Sun, his skin started to melt, and he cried out.
Opening his mouth wasn’t a good decision!
“Cough!” Roy violently coughed.
There were many volcanoes in the distance. They were surrounding him. Smokes were coming out of them. The smell of sulfur in the air was so intense that it incessantly entered his nose and also mouth when he opened it. He closed it shut and also stopped breathing, surviving slowly on his aura. He didn’t want to breath at all. Aura could be used as a replacement for oxygen, and it could be used to make the heart beat.
“Where the hell… am I?” Roy wondered.
He took in his surroundings, realizing that he was in a very large world.
“No, it isn’t large! It’s better to say it have no end.” Roy immediately corrected himself.
It endlessly stretched in all directions, with no end in sight. How did he appear here? That in itself was weird. The Crimson Lord didn’t seem like a guy who could force someone into another dimension. What was even more abnormal was the fact that he couldn’t feel his inner world and sea of magic, it’s as if his Aura and Magic Gates were closed.
Roy tightly grasped his runic items.
‘From here on out, I can only depend on them and my raw strength.’
Thankfully, he had activated his bloodline ability.
His current stats were all above 400 points.
He didn’t know how powerful he have become.
But he was sure no aura master was his match.
“Anyway, how did I appear here?” Roy muttered under his breath as he searched for a way out.
He hadn’t taken three steps when a gigantic figure emerged in the distance. It was the Crimson Lord, but a hundred times bigger than what he remembered.
“I pulled you here!” The Crimson Lord said to Roy, “This is my miniature world. It’s a physical manifestation of my wisdom, power, and prowess. It is drawn on the fabric of reality. There’s no escape. I am the absolute ruler of my miniature world. Here, my words are law. That means the end for you!”
The Crimson Lord laughed, and the sky changed color, turning a deep black. Lighting it up were countless bolts of chaotic blue lightning that condensed into thunder dragon with blue and red shimmering scales.
Roy gaped and sweated. What the heck?! How do you expect me to survive that?
The Crimson Lord smiled pleasantly, seeing him so shocked and out of it.
“This is what separates a lower lifeform like you from a higher lifeform like me. I am the God of this world. Here you are but an ant to me.”
Roy’s eyes lowered, his eyelashes casting a shadow on his lower eyelid. He needed time. He needed to stall it until he comes up with a way to overcome this. And the best way to do that was to strike up a conversation.
“If you had such a trump card, why didn’t you pull it out before?!” Roy asked, sensing his surrounding.
He realized that he couldn’t feel any energy fluctuations in the thundering sky or the world around him. Tevenlor said that every living and non-living being had energy. If something didn’t have it, it could only mean it was a illusion. Clearly, the lightning dragons were shown to be made out of the Crimson Lord’s chaotic energy and mana and Roy’s sixth sense should be picking up intense energy fluctuations from them. But no, they weren’t.
‘This can only mean that they are all fake!’ Roy’s eyes lit up. He was looking down and his strands of hair were covering his face. So the Crimson Lord failed to notice the change in his expression. ‘I can’t feel my sixth sense reacting to this. What I am seeing is all fake. This isn’t a miniature world, but a illusion created by the Crimson Lord.
Its illusion target people’s senses and make them see what it wanted them to. But it couldn’t affect Roy’s sixth sense. Thus, he easily saw through it’s illusion, realizing everything including the dragons in the sky were fake.
“Only when my soul is at the brink of destruction can I exhibit such powers.” The Crimson Lord replied to Roy and then made a move against him.
“I know what you are up to.” The Crimson Lord suddenly said to Roy. The latter tensed up, droplets of sweat oozing out his forehead and sliding down. “You want to stall for time. But I won’t give you the chance. Die!”
The volcanoes all around suddenly erupted. As a result, streams of lava rained down towards Roy, threatening to end him. At the same time, the dragons in the sky descended, closing in on Roy.
“The entire sky is falling down on you. Do you think you can survive this?” The Crimson Lord also moved towards Roy.
“I sure as hell can.” Roy ignored all of them and raised his sword, bringing it above his head. Then, he closed his eyes. Soon, he felt energy fluctuations close to him. Even the Crimson Lord approaching him was a fake.
Everything was a fake.
Only the energy fluctuations that he could feel under the spot where he was standing was real.
He jumped up as a snake-like figure burst out from the ground.
It was going straight for his balls.
“You want my balls? How insidious!”
Roy swung his sword down.
It was cut into two.
“H-how?!!!”
“Better ask Yama!”
That was the last thing it muttered before it exploded into smithereens because of Roy’s black aura.
『Ding! Congratulation. You have defeated the Crimson Lord!』
