Chapter 270 Finale (2/3)

Hundreds of bats burst out of it, homing down on him.

He didn’t stop advancing and only brought his hands to each other, clapping once.

Clap!

This sound marked the end of the bats approaching him.

Roy clapped, and the intense killing intent in the air closed down on them from all sides.

Hundreds of red threads, not of fate but of Death, moved from left to right and right to left, passing through everything that was in between, drawing red lines on them.

“How did he pull that off? He is my husband. It’s good to see he is so amazing. But isn’t that too much?”

The Female Siren’s eyes widened in surprise. The bats flying towards Roy were magically shredded to pieces.

“When did he become so powerful?

Tevenlor was in no better state of mind than her. His new master, the person he had vowed to serve, has suddenly become ridiculously powerful. When did that happen? Was he not going all out when they were fighting? Or did he become 10 times more powerful on the way here?

“You guys can’t see them?” Shadowless asked while pointing at the red threads in the air.

The Female Siren: “…” Is something wrong with my eyes? Why can’t I see what my husband’s avatar is seeing?!

“See what?”

They stared at him in confusion.

Suddenly, the Crimson Lord’s shocked exclamation resounded throughout the cave.

“H-how did you kill all of them with just a… clap?!”

Hearing his words, Roy came to a sudden realization.

“So it’s like colorless aura. It can’t be seen… by the naked eye!”

Roy has been granted an invisible blade. He would be a fool if he didn’t misuse it.

“Why should I tell you?!” Roy scoffed and crushed another wave of bats with his killing intent.

『You have obliterated 800 parts of the Crimson Lord’s Soul. It’s two steps away from death. You get 800 Experience Points and ×800 Red Orbs!』

“Alright, don’t. It doesn’t matter. I will know what secrets you hide when I take over your body.” The Crimson Lord said.

“You are dreaming big.” Roy jumped off the bridge made of his aura and, bursting apart the mist, landed on the other shore. “That’s never going to happen.”

Just then, parts of the mist around him morphed into the Crimson Lord’s avatars. But they were twenty times bigger than the ones he killed.

“Idiot, it will. You have fallen for my trap. The more damaged my soul, the greater my power! And you have been chipping it away bit by bit. Guess how powerful I am now?”

The Crimson Lord laughed, and the dozens of giant bats launched a suicidal assassination on Roy. Their eyes gleamed evilly as they exploded into flames. Every inch of their body was set ablaze. The color of these flames was similar to rank-2 and rank-3 fires, strong enough to melt Force and Kill Roy thousand times over. No doubt, they were planning to drag him down to hell with themselves.

Roy blasted them with fireballs.

『You have corrupted the enemies’ fire with your self-created Fire!』

『You have become the ruler of their fire!』

After these notifications sounded in his head, Roy waved his hand, and the fires on their bodies disappeared magically.

『You have used the Fire Control Skill to extinguish the rank-3 and rank-3 fires!』

The system’s notification rang in Roy’s ears.

“What the hell…?!”

The Crimson Lord’s jaw dropped to touch the ground. It had lost its bearing, for its avatars have turned from bats blazing heroically into featherless chickens waiting to be slaughtered.

“As powerful as my fart.” Roy extinguished the fire and then charged at the giant bat monsters, going from one to another in the blink of an eye, slicing their wings and cutting their necks like a swordsman from ancient times.

A few tried to run away but were struck down by the young man’s wrath.

They flew away in a shower of sparks, turning to dust.

『Ding! Congratulation. You have killed the seen major parts of the Crimson Lord’s Soul! You gained 350 Crimson Souls and 3500 EXP.. It’s one step away from Death!』

After getting eaten by Roy’s black lightning, not even their bones were left behind. They died without a corpse.

“Thunder doesn’t work on you! Fire obeys you! You are not a Dragonkin! I refuse to accept it! Just what are you?!” The Crimson Lord cried out in disbelief.

“What am I?”

Roy asked in a loud voice, so loud that it defeated its roar.

Shadowless spoke up.

“An end to all who oppose you.”

Roy smiled because of being praised to high Heaven.

“You heard that, right? An end. That’s what I am to people like you!”

Its eyes twitched, but it couldn’t come up with any words to retort.

“I don’t have much time. So, come over here.” Roy invited it out.

“Why should I?”

The Crimson Lord was severely weakened and on its last breath. Fighting him in this state would kill him.

It wasn’t a fool.

Why would it reveal itself without any preparation just because it was challenged?

Roy clicked his tongue in annoyance. “Tsk. Since you don’t wanna, I will come for you!”

Roy shot forward like an arrow. He wasn’t going for the Crimson Lord. It was giving off energy fluctuations. He knew where he was, but he didn’t bother entangling himself with it. Who knows if it had another trump card up its sleeve?

He was actually heading straight towards the Dragon’s Tree.

Although it was dark, because of his sixth sense, he could locate where it was.

“You want to complete the last trial? Over my dead body!”

The Crimson Lord knew what he was up to and immediately disappeared from his previous spot, appearing between him and the Dragon’s Tree. Its gigantic wing cut through the air and dropped towards Roy like a 15-meter tall sword. The suddenness and ferocity of this attack forced him to jump back.

“So you have decided to show yourself.”

The mist parted, revealing the Crimson Lord’s True Form to the youth’s eye. It was a 5-meter tall humanoid with black wings and red eyes.

“You asked for this.”

Their eyes met.

A blue glint flickered in its eyes while a black glint thundered in Roy’s eyes.

Boom!

A responding reverberation thundered throughout the ancestral land as the black aura lighting clashed with chaotic blue lightning, sparks flying in all directions.
