278 Don’t spoil it!

“Good... Uhm. Good my friend a day to meet healthy!”

“....”

What?

The agents all stared at the girl.

“Ahem!”

Claire let out another cough and forcefully smiled.

‘I forgot the dialoggg!’

While screaming inwardly.

She remembered that it was something about how happy she was to see that his friend’s friends are healthy and that she was waiting impatiently to meet them and other things like that, but she didn’t remember what exactly was she supposed to say.

.....

‘Damn, what should I do?’

They had practiced this a few times and she was confident that she could do everything perfectly, but the pressure of the people here was making her nervous. They were all staring at her with fierce gazes and were letting out threatening auras. She hadn’t practiced for this!

“Uh... I am great... and you... all happy...”

Nooo, that wasn’t what she was supposed to say!

Claire shivered and took one step back. That was when she made eye contact with Asa, who seemed to be also screaming inwardly.

‘That damn bastard!’

Claire cursed the man who had made her do this, that Kairen bastard, again and again.

He was so confident when he said he had a ‘plan’ at first, so much that she and her previous Mr. Hey fell for it and accepted to do what he wanted them to, but they had made the wrong decision! That was not a proper plan at all! Did he even understand what a plan meant? Claire doubted.

They all knew too well that Claire and her previous Mr. Hey were guilty of kidnapping two agents of the Special Units of the Special Military Forces. Even if it was proven that they weren’t working for Philomns, and if they managed to cover things up while calling Aaron a ‘spy of SMF in Philomns’ just like Kairen had planned, they couldn’t fool unit 5 members who knew how Claire had pulled Asa inside a portal and left.

It wasn’t like they couldn’t cover it if they managed to do what Kairen had in mind and label Aaron as a spy, but before that could happen, having these agents by their side was an important step in reaching the result Kairen wanted.

Also, even if they managed to cover things up and everything ends well, Kairen still had to work at this unit, and he wanted to drag his brother into the unit as well. There was no way they could work together while holding grudges against each other, right?

That was why Kairen decided to turn things into drama. He used all of the information he had gathered through years of closely investigating all kinds of movies and novels in every genre to create a show that he thought might help them in this situation.

No.

He actually made a messy thing because he was too lazy to think deeply about it and was also in pain and wanted to go to sleep.

The messy scenario that he created was not that bad at the first glance. They were going to the unit’s rescue while fighting Philomns at the same time. While the main character(Aaron) was busy fighting, the two girls would show the unit a scene of deep and pure friendship between two teenage girls, in which the bad girl(Claire) was saved by the good girl(Asa) after the good girl showed the bad girl the true meaning of life and happiness by telling her some life-changing words and stories(Which happened in the reality but the stories that Asa told Claire weren’t really what Kairen thought they were) after being kidnapped, and then the bad girl brought the good girl back and asked for forgiveness, they had a teary flashback in front of everyone, and then the two girls became BFFs~~~~

While these things were going on, Aaron would fight Philomns who attacked(actually were attacked) the two brothers(by the two brothers) and were after Kairen(Aaron, the traitor, to kill him) and Aaron fought with his life in the line(Actually was fighting with his life on the line as the enemies were more than what they assumed they would be) to save his sick and weak and stup- Ahem, little brother. Once everything was over, they would reveal that they were brothers by having a super tragic and teary flashback and reunion. It would then be revealed that Aaron was never by Philomns side and he was only there to help his brother(Kairen and Aaron made the whole thing up) and now he had betrayed them? Something like that.

Kairen actually thought that doing this thing was gross, and so did Aaron. But there was no choice other than to do this. There was also Claire who said ‘If I’m going to do this shit you have to do the same shit as I do.’, and didn’t agree to help them out unless they did something as shameful as her scenario. Thus Kairen and Aaron had no choice but to act the roles of two brothers who had found each other after a lot of tragedies- wait, wasn’t that actually what has happened?

Nevermind.

That was the plan.

That was supposed to be the plan.

“What is she doing here?”

Deputy team leader Bray mumbled as she glared at Claire, pulling Asa deeper into her embrace as if to protect her. The other unit members had similar expressions on their faces as well while looking at Claire.

“I... Am life change... and my flashback...”

Claire murmured bullshit nervously, taking small steps back and fidgetting with her fingers. She was so confident while coming here but now she was scared.

“Leave right now if you don’t want me to kill you!”

Claire flinched after hearing that comment.

‘Come on! These people don’t even have weapons! They can’t do shit!’

Claire took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and raised her voice. By now she had completely forgotten about the scenario and the dialogs so she just said whatever she thought she had to say.

“Hmph! Don’t look at the ones who have come to your help like that! Do you even know how hard it was to come here? No! And you also threaten me!”

Claire clicked her tongue and shook her head.

“You are threatening a defenseless girl while being protected instead of grabbing a weapon and fighting! Mr. Hey was right to call you useless! Tsk!”

“Hey!”

“Look at this brat-”

“Shut up, everyone.”

The unit members frowned and some protested, but they were all stopped by the team leader.

“What do you mean by that? You’ve come to save us?”

“Well, yeah? Isn’t that obvious?”

The girl places her hands on her hips while frowning.

“Claire, you are doing it all wrong!”

“Shut up! I don’t remember any of those things!”

“What the-”

“Tsk!”

Everyone was taken aback by Asa’s sudden words. Claire however ignored Asa’s silent scream that was telling her to stop babbling bullshit. She had no choice! She knew that she was ruining the scenario and was also spoiling the ‘Two lost brothers’ story, but she didn’t care.

“Are you blind? My previous Mr. Hey also made you people some weapons to fight with, and yet you are acting like this! Tsk!”

By the mention of ‘Weapons’, all of the unit members turned their gazes towards the black and dull weapons on the ground that Claire was pointing at.

“My previous Mr. Hey put so much effort into creating them, so you have to use them well!”

The gazes all turned back to her.

‘Weapons?’

‘You call these things weapons?’

‘Who is your previous Mr. Hey?’

BAAAAANGGGGG

They heard a loud explosion at that moment that made them all shift their attention to above their heads, where one of the stone walls surrounding them seemed to be bending inward a little bit. A bit of dust and soil fell on their heads from the wall and some cracks appeared on the other walls that were attached to the damaged one.

“Grab a weapon.”

Team leader Dains commented while still looking up.

“We have to fight. The enemies are too much for that man to handle.”

He ignored the looks that his unit members were giving him and started to walk towards a small gap in the walls.

“We can talk about the rest of the things later after we’ve taken care of the things.”

She stood in front of the gap leading to the outside of the walls, waiting for his unit members. He didn’t have a weapon but it was not like he could just send these kids out alone.

“Yes, sir.”

Seeing how serious their team leader was, the unit members all nodded their heads and walked towards the pile of strange swords on the ground. They looked at them hesitantly before the aura wielders each picked up a sword and started to examine them.

“They are not bad...”

Reyan mumbled and as he did, the others started to state their minds one by one.

“Yeah, pretty sturdy.”

“They are nice.”

“It’s just that they are dull.”

“I don’t think we really need sharp blades.”

“Right.”

The satisfied unit members also started to walk to the gap in the wall one by one.
