Chapter 143 - Rain Started to Fall

After the two of them had spent almost an hour in the arcade arena, Li Qin Yao walked out carrying a cute bunny plush which they redeemed with the tickets that Zhang Yu Han had won.

His gaze softened as he looked at the way his girlfriend was holding the toys in her embrace. She looked happy as she pulled at the bunny's long ears. At this time, Zhang Yu Han thought that shooting the balls until his arms were almost sore was worth it.

"Where do you want to go next? Is there anything you wanted to do?" Li Qin Yao asked as she turned around.

"Didn't you say you wanted to try the sky ride?"

"Let's do that later. Anyway, we can walk over to B Station and get a ride to return to the entrance."

Zhang Yu Han nodded at her suggestion. "When are we supposed to meet up with the others again?"

"Hold up. I'll ask Yun Xi," Li Qin Yao took out her phone and dialed her friend's number. After talking for a while, Li Qin Yao turned to Zhang Yu Han and said, "Yun Xi agreed to meet at the entrance in an hour."

Zhang Yu Han glanced at his wristwatch. "Isn't that too early? I thought you wanted to look around for a while longer."

"It's fine. Grandfather would be bored if we leave him for too long," Li Qin Yao said. "Weren't we going to accompany Grandfather to dinner? We should go back to the hotel and freshen up a bit before the meal."

"You treat Grandfather well."

Li Qin Yao froze at his words. For a second, she wondered if her boyfriend was jealous of his grandfather. "Well, your grandfather is nice to me. Of course, I must treat him well." She laughed. However, as she looked at Zhang Yu Han's expression, Li Qin Yao really did not know how should she coax him.

In the end, Li Qin Yao pretended that she did not sense his sour expression. She gave him an innocent smile, and the man could only sigh helplessly.

Zhang Yu Han took out the maps from his pocket to figure out their location. Then, the two of them walked towards the B Station and decided that if they see any interesting attraction along the way, they were going to try them out.

To get to the B Station, the two of them had to walk around the flower garden. The garden was decorated with colorful flowers all around and buildings that made them feel as if the patron felt as if they were in a European country. Everywhere they look, there would be couples taking pictures here and there.

Zhang Yu Han glanced the woman beside him and lifted the hands that were holding hers higher. Soon, Li Qin Yao looked at him with a questioning look.

"Do you want to take a few pictures here as well?"

Li Qin Yao looked around and nodded to agree.

The two of them picked up a good spot and just like that, Zhang Yu Han acted as a personal photographer for his girlfriend. Although he was not a professional, every picture he snapped turned out great.

After a while, Li Qin Yao scrolled at the photos that Zhang Yu Han had snapped and admired the man's skill. "Why don't I take some pictures of you next?"

"It's alright," Zhang Yu Han shook his head. Though he enjoyed acting as her personal photographer, it does not mean that he wanted pictures of him with those flowers.

Li Qin Yao sneaked a glance at her boyfriend and smiled. "Then, do you want pictures of us together? We didn't have pictures of us together, right?"

Zhang Yu Han stared at her with his eyes bright. Even before he could say anything, Li Qin Yao had pulled him at the center of the garden. Without much warning, she started to snap a few pictures together.

Just as they were busy playing around and snapping pictures, suddenly they heard a noise.

Both of them looked up the sky and saw that some gray clouds were moving towards their direction and the rain started to fall. Soon, the people around the garden started to scatter and run.

Zhang Yu Han grabbed Li Qin Yao's hands and started to run to find a place to take shelter.

Unfortunately, because they were at the center of the garden, it took them a while to reach a place for shelter.

Zhang Yu Han glanced at his girlfriend and frowned when he saw that she was gasping for air.

Slowly, he tried to match up to her pace until they reached a building away from the others.

Li Qin Yao laughed as she looked at the sky. The sunny sky was replaced with dark clouds and it doesn't look like the clouds were going to move away.

"That was unexpected," Zhang Yu Han commented. He pulled Li Qin Yao towards the wall and stood in front of her to block the rain.

"You're all wet," Li Qin Yao rummaged through her knapsack and pulled out a packet of tissue. She handed a few papers to Zhang Yu Han before she dabbed her face and hair dry from the water.

When she lifted her head to look at Zhang Yu Han again, she could see that there were a few spots that he had missed.

"What's wrong?" Zhang Yu Han asked as he sensed her gaze on him.

Li Qin Yao took out a few more papers and looked up again. "Here. Let me help you." She extended her arms and began to wipe the wet spot on his brow. After a few seconds, Li Qin Yao began to notice the change in the mood.

Her right hand paused at his cheek. Because she was standing on her toes, the distance between them became closer.

Li Qin Yao lifted her eyes to look at Zhang Yu Han and noticed the way he was staring at her lips. He looked as if he was going to kiss her.

And if he bent down a little bit, their lips would meet.

Her heart skipped a beat. She tightened her grip around the tissue, while the other hand, held the bunny plush as she anticipated his next move. The two of them stayed in that pose for a moment that felt so long.

However, the kiss that she was expecting did not come.

Zhang Yu Han chose to look away. Though he wanted to take a step back to avoid the awkward situation, Zhang Yu Han found that he could not retreat as the rain was falling heavily.

"Zhang Yu Han."

Hearing she called his name, Zhang Yu Han turned again. But before he could say anything, Zhang Yu Han felt Li Qin Yao's something tugging at his collar and soon he could feel her lips pressing against his.

That kiss did not last for long.

Li Qin Yao pulled away and stared into his eyes. With her hand gripping his shirt, Li Qin Yao then said, "Zhang Yu Han, you may kiss me if you want to... you know?"
