On Saturday, Han Yue Xiu walked out of her parent's apartment after her mother once again made a long story about how they would be sad if they suddenly leave the world with no one looking after her.
As usual, Han Yue Xiu could not argue with her mother and therefore, she reluctantly decided to attend this blind date.
Forget it, she might as well treat this date as if she was going for a job interview.
Anyway, she thought that perhaps she could take a look at this guy for a while, find an excuse and then, maybe grabbed something to eat and then, go out to watch a movie.
Han Yue Xiu glanced at the dress that her mother had brought for her a few days ago and frowned as she thought of the last time that she had worn a cute skirt.
Probably in her teenage years?
Han Yue Xiu sighed for an umpteenth time.
Her mother was ruthless this time. To make sure that she spends her time talking to her blind date, Mother Han had refused to let her eat too much during breakfast.
According to Mother Han, it was best if she left with an empty stomach and have a meal with her blind date instead. That morning, her mother only allowed her to drink a cup of coffee and a fried egg.
Han Yue Xiu headed towards the elevator and stopped as she ran into two burly men who were lifting some furniture.
When she suddenly recalled the way Song Yi had entered the building the other day, Han Yue Xiu was alerted.
She looked around to search for her ex-boss and was relieved when she could not see his silhouette. Han Yue Xiu then stood in front of the elevator and watched as the men entered the house next door. Only then did she walked into the elevator and press on the ground floor.
Han Yue Xiu stepped out from the apartment building and narrowed her eyes to adjust the bright light. The sun shone brightly, making her head slightly dizzy.
Taking a deep breath, Han Yue Xiu took out her phone to check on the address.
Suddenly, she saw a familiar figure stood not far away from her. Of course, that person was no other than her lunatic former employer, Song Yi. Han Yue Xiu had thought that this man had gone back after she had rejected him not too long ago.
Who would have thought that this man would wait for her in front of the apartment building?
Has he turned into a stalker now?
Just as she was about to sneak out and made her escape, Han Yue Xiu heard the man called out her name.
"Han Yue Xiu!"
Han Yue Xiu closed her eyes tightly before she decided that she did not hear that man's voice. She gripped her purse tightly and continued to walk.
However, Song Yi was not going to give up so soon. After all, he had worked hard to find Han Yue Xiu again. But who knows that suddenly, the security around the apartment tightened and he could no longer sneak into the building as he did last time.
Currently, it has been almost one month since the last time he had seen her. Of course, Song Yi was not going to leave without seeing her. But this girl was daring enough to pretend that she had not seen or heard him.
Song Yi frowned as he jogged towards the girl. "Han Yue Xiu, wait!" he tugged at her arms, forcing Han Yue Xiu to turn around to face him.
Fortunately, Han Yue Xiu had braced herself that Song Yi was going to stop her. Or else, she might lose her footing and fall directly to the man's arms.
Song Yi gaped at Han Yue Xiu when he noticed that she was dressed up.
Although he had seen Han Yue Xiu with her face full of makeup before, this should be the first time that he had seen her wearing a skirt. Unless if she needed to appear in the office in her formal attire, Han Yue Xiu would usually wear jeans and a thick jacket in the office.
"Let go of me," Han Yue Xiu frowned.
Song Yi obediently released her hand.
He had imagined that the next time he was going to meet Han Yue Xiu, that girl was going to look at him with a smile. After all, he had told her that he liked her and declared that he was going to make her like him as well. He did not expect that Han Yue Xiu was going to look at his disdain.
This is wrong.
In the past, any girls would go crazy whenever he smiled at them. Why was Han Yue Xiu acting differently?
"Han Yue Xiu, what is wrong with you?" Song Yi frowned. He studied the girl's face and noticed that her face was a bit pale. "Are you unwell?"
"Mister Song, Boss Song, I really did not have time to play around with you today," Han Yue Xiu said. She took a deep breath and massaged the space between her brow. "I'm already late."
"Where are you going? I'll send you over."
"Don't bother." Han Yue Xiu took a few steps forward and paused when she noticed that Song Yi was following her. "Stop following me. I haven't eaten anything for breakfast and I'm very hungry. If you continue to pester me, then I will get mad."
Once she finished saying what she wanted, Han Yue Xiu turned around.
"Han Yue Xiu."
But it doesn't look like Song Yi understood her words.
Han Yue Xiu turned to him and barked, "What!?" She was about to continue to shout at him when Song Yi suddenly raised his hand with something in his palm.
When she saw the white, red and blue candies in Song Yi's hand, Han Yue Xiu was surprised.
White rabbit candies.
Those were her favorite to munch on whenever she needed something sweet so that she could replenish her energy and concentrated on her work. Ever since she came to S Country, Han Yue Xiu had not seen this candy sold anywhere and she was starting to miss that sweet and milky taste.
"Didn't you said you're hungry?" Song Yi glanced at the candy in his hand. "Isn't this is what you always eat during work?"
Han Yue Xiu looked up and stared at Song Yi in a daze. "Where did you get this? Why are you carrying them around?" Her gaze went back at those candies. Han Yue Xiu wondered if it would be a good idea to snatch those candies from Song Yi's hand.
Sensing that the girl's anger had suddenly disappeared, Song Yi was relieved. "You left some of them in the office and I took them with me." Then, he recalled how he had taken one of those candies out of curiosity and frowned. "But Yue Xiu, these candies tasted disgusting."
