An Wuyang walked into the air-conditioned building, and a chilly air rushed over his face, making him close his eyes shut almost in haste. His eyelashes quivered while the arms trembled and became suddenly peppered with goosebumps.

This was the nth symptom to surface after he discovered he was pregnant—he became overly sensitive to temperature.

Because he was uncertain whether it would cause harm, he took a few steps of retreat and stayed under the eaves to not expose himself to too much sunlight.

The baseball cap donned on his head blocked half of his field of vision, causing Wuyang not to notice the gentleman approaching him. A few steps more, and Wuyang directly collided with the man.

“Sorry….” An Wuyang scrambled up, flustered, and stepped back.

‘This is also one symptom of pregnancy, and I am terrified I might slip.’

The person he crashed into was tall and sturdy. So speaking of the hardness of their body, which stood motionless and unaffected.

“What did you call me for?”

A familiar voice rang above An Wuyang’s head. He raised his head in a daze and felt as if the world played with him just now. Stunned, he asked, “Mister Huo?”

‘Is there something to be surprised about?’

Huo Yunchuan gazed inquisitively at the young man’s face and furrowed. “Didn’t you come to find me?”

“Um, yes.” An Wuyang gave a nod. This caught him by surprise. He did not think the man would come as he had not received a reply last night. Come to think of it, there was a 99% chance that the other party would not come.

“Thank you for coming to the appointment.” Since Yunchuan had arrived, Wuyang stopped being long-winded. “Then let’s find a private place to talk now.”

Yunchuan looked down at the person’s unsmiling face, which appeared somewhat fishy. He said nothing, though he’s curious, and just went straight to the front desk, bypassing An Wuyang.

He asked for a private room.

“Let’s go,” Huo Yunchuan said coldly. Then he turned around and walked at a steady pace. Though, it felt a bit faster than usual.

It’s obvious that his mood was not on the pleasant side.

An Wuyang was keyed up when he thought about what he was about to say. His gaze lingered on the walking figure for a few seconds before he followed, looking like in dire straits.

Inside the empty elevator, Huo Yunchuan saw from the reflective glass that the boy’s countenance, who stood a meter away from him, was not so good.

To be more specific, he looked utterly reluctant.

“…..” In the end, who asked who to meet?

Now that they had met, this brat dared show this expression now?

Huo Yunchuan felt his patience on the verge of drying out by the other party or that he should not have come here at the first light of morning.

It was simply a self-inflicted humiliation.

With a ding, they have arrived at their destination floor.

Huo Yunchuan strode out of the elevator and informed their room number to the waiting attendant, who walked up to them. The other party escorted and opened the door for them and served warm tea.

During this unusually awkward time, the attendant asked them whether they wanted lunch or breakfast.

Soon, the menu was placed in front of Huo Yunchuan. He swept his gaze at it and ordered a few signature dishes.

For two people, this quantity was more than enough to spare.

“You can go out; don’t come in if there’s nothing important.” After ordering the food, Huo Yunchuan glanced at the waiter.

“Okay, sir.” The waiter flashed a smile and departed, not forgetting to close the door behind him.

An Wuyang, who was sitting nearby, let out a massive sigh of relief. He clasped his own hands tightly on the table for support, and he faced Huo Yunchuan’s indifferent eyes head-on. “Mister Huo, what I will say next may sound ridiculous, but it’s true.

As his words dropped, he took out yesterday’s blood test report from his pocket—with the doctor’s judgment on it—and pushed it on the table to the other party. “Take a look at it first.”

Huo Yunchuan did not move from his initial posture. With his leg stacked on the other as he leaned back with frigid eyes, but looked at the odd boy instead. “Actually, you don’t want to see me today.”

But something must have happened and was only compelled by the situation; hence, he came.

An Wuyang was tongue-tied in shock. “….” Oftentimes, he felt that this Mister Huo’s interest was very crooked. Indeed.

Fortunately, the other party did not appear attached to his peculiar answer. Not long after the discerning sentence, Yunchuan stretched out his hand to the report, returned to his original savvy posture, and reviewed it.

From the title alone, it was apparent it was a medical report.

Upon closer look, he discovered it was the student’s physical examination report. And it was a blood test. If he could not make sense of the actual numerical data, he could directly skip and look at the diagnosis result of the doctor at the bottom of the paper.

When Yunchuan glimpsed the word pregnancy, his eyebrows jumped fiercely. He immediately read over the entire diagnosis and snapped the paper onto the table. With his index finger rigid as he pressed at it, he asked, “What do you mean?” His entire calm demeanor was gone.

He thought An Wuyang had made an absurd and false report to deceive him.

The other party, of course, disbelieved it, just as expected.

“That’s why I said it’s ridiculous.” An Wuyang bit the bullet and said, “If you don’t believe me, you can take me for a checkup right now. It’s impossible for me to collude with every hospital, right?”

True, an ordinary student possessed no ability like this at all.

“Pregnant? Five weeks pregnant?” Huo Yunchuan glared at the report sheet in front of him, feeling beyond belief. “…Even if you’re pregnant, you want to tell me that this child is mine?”

An Wuyang nodded. “Of course it’s yours. I have only shared a bed with you.”

“….” Huo Yunchuan was speechless for a while. It was only natural for him to still be in disbelief and think of these as preposterous. Perhaps the other party was merely making a terrible joke with him.

If that’s the case…. he would undoubtedly be up to kill someone.

Now, pray that the youngster best not lie.

“I don’t need an excuse to lie to you. We can go for an examination right now, and you choose any hospital you want…” An Wuyang could not stand the awkward silence and despised being mistrusted. The best way to prove it was to take the man with him and double-check it.

“Why did you suddenly go for a blood test?” Huo Yunchuan asked.

An Wuyang tilted his head a bit as he blushed and replied, “Because of pregnancy reactions—nausea and vomiting, drowsiness, and fainting…. I went for an examination, and the doctor found it when he took my pulse.”

Huo Yunchuan’s chest undulated up and down noticeably as he exhaled, attempting to take back his composure. “According to you, did you come to hold me responsible?”

‘It’s not entirely possible if….’

“The doctor said my parents needed to sign for abortion surgery, but I don’t want them to know,” An Wuyang said in a low voice. “I think you have a wider network and have more ideas than me. So I want to ask you to help me sign for the operation.”

“….What?” Huo Yunchuan banged his clenched fist down on the table, staring at the young man with such incredulity in his eyes. He never felt so much anger in his entire life until now that his liver seemed to hurt as well. “Are you going to have an abortion surgery? Abort my child?”

The sound of a fist smashing on the table shocked An Wuyang.

“….” With a pale face, he rolled, “You—do you want it?”

‘That’s it.’ Huo Yunchuan blew his top, “Nonsense!” The other party was simply ignorant and stupid! “Do you know how precious this child is?” Huo family taxed both their minds and bodies, but this foolish boy dared to have this kind of thought.

Bang!

Another fist hit the table, and the man, with lingering trepidation, bellowed, “Give birth, and you can take charge for whatever you want me to do!”

What if he did not have any dreams?

Even if the lofty lion spoke vehemently and imposed some unreasonable conditions for the baby’s sake, what else could Wuyang do but compromise?

“Then I’ll give birth to you.” An Wuyang caressed his flat stomach with a thumb while thinking about the other party’s wishes. Albeit inconspicuous, it was life after all. And it would be best for it to come to this world. “But school will start soon…”

It was August now.

“Stop school,” Huo Yunchuan did not even hesitate and said with a strong attitude and indisputable tone, “I can’t let you go to school when you’re carrying my child.” That would be dangerous, and the same goes as for going out.

Recently, the An family was in straitened circumstances; thus, not attending school might be better for the time being. However, An Wuyang remembered one more thing and said, “It seems parents have to sign for the deferral in studying.”

If his parents heard about the suspension, they would barrage him for a reason.

‘How can I hide?’

“You don’t need to worry about these, I will take care of them.” Yunchuan re-adjusted his sitting posture, which caused a blunder in his usual demeanor by the excitement just now, tried hard the pounding of his chest, and said, “The top priority is to make sure you are not lying.”

“We can go for an inspection now—” said An Wuyang, with pursed lips.

“Discuss after dinner,” Huo Yunchuan interrupted him, a hand tugging on his suffocating tie. “I can afford to wait for an hour or two.”

Now that the other party had said so, An Wuyang closed his mouth.

In fact, the inside of his mind was so messed up and felt like he promised a disastrous no laughing matter.

However, it was undoubtedly a good thing to save such a small, innocent life. Huo Yunchuan gave the impression of being wealthy; the baby would live a good life with him.

With this in mind, An Wuyang determined to give birth to the baby so that he could be raised by Huo Yunchuan.

When An Wuyang looked down as he sorted his head, the other party gazed at him. Not letting any expression slip by in his face, nor thoughts were exposed to actions.

The silence dragged on in the box until the waiter knocked on the door and came in.

Intricately plated, delicious delicacies were put on the table one by one, emitting a savory fragrance that made anyone’s index finger twitch.

It was not a greasy scent, but a pure aroma of food.

“Can pregnant women eat these foods?” Huo Yunchuan titled his head to the waitress and asked.

Since there were only two guests on the table and both of them were men, the question startled the waitress at first. But, with her facing an unusual question, she certainly had to answer it. She swept a quick run-through on the dishes and answered prudently, “Except for this crab meat dish, everything else is edible, sir.”

“Then carry it out,” the imposing man said.

The waitress was stunned again. “Okay, okay.” She took the crab right away and thought to herself that a pregnant woman might come in a while.

Little did she know that the young man in the other seat was blushing, with his ears flushed red, wishing to find a crack in the ground to get in and hide.

He was lodged deep in embarrassment because he was a one-of-a-kind case among millions of people on the planet. When others learned that he was a male who could conceive a child, they would undeniably regard him as a monster.

This was also the reason An Wuyang did not dare tell his parents. He did not like studying, and his grades were not excellent, so he would be kicked out for good if something like this happened.

“Don’t be overly reserved. Pick your favorite dishes to eat.” Huo Yunchuan persisted in gazing at him.

The stone-faced man could put people through so much stress that it was almost impossible to remember the fun back in the clubhouse, that this man, too, could laugh and could take liberties with people.

‘It seemed to have happened a long time ago,’ An Wuyang’s impression was vague.

“Thank you.” He picked up his chopsticks and started with the dishes he was more interested in.

He took a bite and was immediately impressed by the hotel’s cooking skills, which were unequivocally different from other places and tasted so much better.

“You’ve got stew on your left.” Huo Yunchuan’s voice boomed once more.

“Okay…” An Wuyang laid aside his chopsticks, opened the lid of the bowl, took a spoonful from the porcelain spoon next to it, and tasted it. The flavor was light, and there was no oily aftertaste.
