Chapter 191 Peter Heisen’s Goal

"Master, the coordination system is down as well."

"What other thing is down at the moment?"

"Um, it seems like the pneumatic and hydraulic systems are also not functioning properly. The Kraken's Clone's tentacle managed to strike a hole at it, causing the air to leak out."

Lei Zhen nodded his head when he heard Candice reporting that a lot of their systems were down and could not be used.

The atmosphere was also getting quite cold because the heater of the ship was out of order. Without the pneumatic system working, there is no heat emitting throughout the ship.

The ship deck that was usually filled with crewmen working was nowhere to be seen either. The cold was getting worse, so Lei Zhen ordered them all to stay indoors and minimize their workload.

"We might be in the boundary lines, but it's just at the edge of it. And now we can't even check the coordinate of where we are exactly." Lei Zhen smiled bitterly.

Never did he expect his first voyage would turn into such a disaster.

All those glorious sea moments where he thought about experiencing a ton of new and exciting stuff were shattered completely.

"Master, I forgot to say that the kitchen area was also damaged, so the chef said it could not cook any warm food for us," Candice said nervously.

It was bad news stacked with even more bad news, and she could tell Lei Zhen was extremely frustrated but didn't show it on the surface.

"That's fine, some of the crewmen know fire magic, so they can reheat the pot itself." Lei Zhen remained unfazed by these common problems that would normally provide a headache.

After all, this world had magic, something that does not exist in his real world. Hence, one shouldn't be fazed by problems that magic could be used to solve.

Meanwhile, Candice seemed to have been enlightened as she showed an embarrassed expression, clearly not expecting her information to be insignificant.

"Are there any other problems that we have?" Lei Zhen then asked when he saw her standing in a daze.

Candice shook her head in response.

"In that case, then go and inform Howard that I'll be heading there soon. Once I fix this autopilot system, I'll be interrogating Peter again."

"Yes, Master."

And with that said, Candice left the room, leaving Lei Zhen alone to manually fix the autopilot system using the manual book that was placed on top of a shelf.

"Damn, so many mechanical terms. Can't these people just write them in simple terms for those who didn't learn the mechanism to understand?" Lei Zhen scratched his head.

These kinds of mechanical terms were something that he did not major or study in, so it was pretty confusing for him to comprehend their meaning.

'Being realistic is fine for a game, but overly realistic is just going to be a pain in the butt. Though this could be a good excuse for kids to use toward their parents when they said not to play video games.' He thought to himself.

Trying to think of things to distract himself while working, time slowly passed by.

pαndα`noνɐ1--сoМ And by the time he had managed to get the autopilot system to work again, beads of sweat could be seen dripping down his forehead.

"Next time, I'm forcing a crewman to do this tedious work." Lei Zhen grabbed a towel and wiped off his sweat.

If it wasn't for the fact that every crewman had gone to the mini lifeboat to do the rescue operation, then Lei Zhen would have made them work on this instead.

Alas, who told him to be a generous and good boss?

He wouldn't let them work overtime or work over their capacity and allowed them to rest.

Sometime later, Lei Zhen turned on the autopilot system and left the Steering Room, only to find Candice sleeping by the doorstep. Her hands were holding on to what seemed like warm food covered in a lid.

'This woman… I told her not to wait for me, so I bet she ate and then came over to bring me food. Yet she got exhausted and fell asleep when the weather was still cold.' Lei Zhen sighed softly at the sight of this.

He grabbed the food away from her arm and lifted her up, carrying her once again to a room.

The heater system was still down, so sleeping outside would definitely get you a fever even if you have mana in your body.

Right when he was about to put her in the bed and cover her up with some blankets, Candice's eyes slowly opened up.

"No need to say anything else and just sleep. Today was a hectic day and you're exhausted already." Lei Zhen said, not allowing her to get up and proceed with the master-to-slave formality bullcrap.

"B-But"

"No but! This is an order!" Lei Zhen was adamant in his decision and didn't wish to hear her word.

"Unless you are trying to overdo yourself and become sick to not work anymore as an excuse, then go to sleep." He added.

He preferred her to rest properly before anything else since he wasn't a real slave owner that would torture their slave and overwork them to death.

"I understand that Master, but didn't you tell me to inform you about what Sir Howard had gotten the information of Peter Heisen?" Candice said dejectedly.

'Right… I did tell her to do that.' Lei Zhen had forgotten about that matter when his brain was overloaded with dumb mechanical terms.

"Alright then, what kind of information did Howard obtain from Peter Heisen?" He then asked.

Candice nodded her head and proceeded to report like a professional secretary would do.

"Under the heavy scrutiny from Sir Howard, Peter Heisen could no longer stall anymore and revealed what their ship was doing. They were going to have a secret Arms Dealing with another country behind the back of Athea. Hence, they were wary of us and believed we were someone sent by the authorities of Athea to capture them."
