Chapter 1147 The Third Round's Conclusion

1147 The Third Round's Conclusion

Whoosh!

Although the two had only been away from the audience box for a short while, a lot of changes had happened to the arena below while they were gone.

For one, over half of the 6 million people that participated in the third round had already defeated their opponents. In fact, all of them were just resting up and recuperating for the fourth round that was to come, realizing that there were still some people on the arena fighting against their opponents.

Being greeted by such a sight, Scho'doxa was slightly left at a loss for words as he did not expect for so much to happen during the time that they were gone.

Nevertheless, as the tournament's Arbiter, the man quickly adapted to the current situation and did a quick sweep of the arena to get an overall view of what was going on.

After waving his arms here and there to teleport those who'd surrendered during the third round back to Veldanyr, Scho'doxa eventually let out a wide sigh of relief as he made his way back to the audience box.

"How did it go?" Though he was still in the midst of processing the explanation Scho'doxa gave him on the four trials to become an Eminence, Valyr paused his train of thought for a bit as he looked at him with slight concern.

"Far better than I thought it would," replied Scho'doxa after catching his breath.

Letting out a long exhale, he continued, "Over half of the people on the arena have already finished fighting against their opponents, while a sixth decided to surrender after realizing they bit off more than they could chew."

"Fortunately, I made sure that the puppets recognize when their opponents surrender mid-fight," said Scho'doxa as he glanced at Valyr. "If else..."

"How many people?" asked the young man as he raised his eyebrow.

"From what I could see, roughly a million," replied Scho'doxa with a sigh. "However, those people decided not to surrender even though they knew they would lose to their opponent."

"As they say, you have to be responsible for your own actions."

At those words, Valyr remained silent, giving Scho'doxa no hint as to what he thought about the matter.

In response to that, the latter shrugged his shoulders before shifting his gaze towards the arena, while the former decided to take a look at the things he received from Scho'doxa in greater detail.

Bringing out the two bottles he received after killing the Myth-level puppet, Valyr took note that one contained dark purple liquid, while the other one contained what looked to be shards of stone.

Activating [Superior Analysis] on both of them, the young man eventually figured out what they exactly were.

Ding!

Unfortunately, as if the heavens told him there was no point in watching any of them, Scho'doxa left the audience box a couple minutes later as he hovered in the air.

With a swipe of his arms, he then teleported all of the people that remained on the arena back to the field, with Valyr following suit not long after.

Whoosh!

Standing on the field once more, Valyr looked around for a bit to see where Julian and the others were, only to turn his gaze back to the man who supervised over the entire tournament.

"I've got to say... everyone did a far better job than I expected." As these words left Scho'doxa's mouth, a stream of bottles began to whiz through the air, all of them landing within the hands of everyone that currently stood on the field.

"Out of the over 6 million people that were previously standing here, almost 4 million of you heeded my advice and came out of the arena as victors," said the man, causing everyone to erupt into slight smiles.

"On the other hand, over a million of you knew your limits and decided to surrender," he continued. "Though, most of the people that surrendered realized it just before it could be too late."

"As for the remaining million or so..." Saying these words, Scho'doxa could only don a bitter smile. "Well, you know what happened."

In response, everyone on the field became silent once more.

Some let out sighs as they heard the words Scho'doxa told them, while some began to sob because of it.

Though, when compared to how everyone reacted after the second round, almost everyone after the third round only took a brief minute or two to mull over what happened, prompting Scho'doxa to nod at everyone in satisfaction.

"So, just like what I did after the second round, everyone will get a day to rest before the fourth round starts." While he was giving everyone on the field the Tier III counterpart of their current title, Scho'doxa gave a reminder that everyone immediately paid attention to.

Though, just as everyone let out a sigh of relief in response, the man continued his reminder with words that caused many people to tense up.

"However, keep in mind that the fourth round is unlike the last two rounds you've gone through."

"Let's just say... be prepared to kill people."
