Alex sat in the back seat of the car as they drove back home, Alex wasn't in his right mind as he sat there thinking about everything that happened today.
Gods, Demon Lord, Magic, War... everything that was happening all seems surreal to Alex but it was all true and he was at the center of that truth.
The Gods want him dead because they are afraid he's going to lead the world to destruction, the demon Lord wants to kill all humanity for sealing him for thousands of years, and Alex had no idea what to do, but for now, he was going to make sure his family was safe first.

The door to Aaron's room opened and William walked in with a smile on his face, Aaron sat on his chair with a gloomy expression on his face, it seems something was wrong but Williams was sure the news he had was going to cheer Aaron up.
"I have big news, the update would be ready by the end of the day, the teams worked really hard on the update," William said with a smile on his face.
"It's already time, the update is useless" Aaron spoke.
"The update is useless, everyone is really excited and the teams did a great job, I'm sure you would be amazed once you see it," William said.
"I know they did a great job, but it's useless now, the awakening has already begun so my time here has come to an end, without my powers the game would crumble so will the company," Aaron said as he sighed heavily.
"Wait so the demon is here, like here on Earth right now!!" William said with his eyes wide open.
"Not here, the demon king isn't coming here to this Earth, the Elder Gods made other plans but the problem is that humanity isn't prepared for what is to come"
"If the demon Lord isn't coming here, then humanity is safe right?" William asked.
"No, the Gods would use their powers to confine the demon Lord in the world of Nova Online" Aaron spoke.
"The demon Lord...in Nova Online, I still don't understand what you mean, if the demon Lord is in Nova Online then all we have to do is shut down the game right"
"All the players would be confined with him, and till one side wins they would remain there"
"Wait, all the players would be transported there to stop him, what if they don't succeed?" William asked.
"If all the players are killed then the demon Lord would be able to break out and face the real world, but if the players succeed in defeating him then the survivals would be returned to earth at the same time they were taken away with their memories erased except for the chosen ones," Aaron said.
"Then what would happen to the humans here on each, would time move normally or what? no one knows when the demon Lord would actually be defeated"
"On this Earth, only a second would pass and either the humans gone would be returned or the demon Lord would burn down the world"
"What about the low-level players, would they be able to survive, is the plan the best way to move forward?" William asked.
"I don't really know, the Elder Gods always take the best course of action to prevent the eradication of humans so I'm sure they are right about this, but I'm sure millions of players would be killed"
"But I'm sure this is the best course of action, if the demon Lord is here on this Earth, we might be on any continent, and with no way to track him, humans would keep getting killed daily, and with the world as big as it is the players would be scattered across the world and would be easy pickings for demons"
"So when would that happen?"
"In a few hours, I'll be gone and all the players of Nova Online would also be gone but it'll only take a few seconds, the game servers would suddenly develop a minor fault which would lead to something big, so I want you to get everyone out of the company, even the cleaners, tell them we're closing for today, and pay all of their salaries after some time, that's all," Aaron said as he sunk back into his chair.
The door opened again and Aurora walked in, "What did the Elder Gods decide" Aurora said now standing in front of Aaron.
The moment William took his eyes off her, she was already beside him, he knew they had superhuman powers all this while but they have never done anything like this in front of him meaning things were really bad.
"The demon Lord and the players would be confined to the world of Nova Online, I would soon be summoned to make changes and in a few hours, the battle for the survival of the human race would begin," Aaron said.
"Then we're going back right?" Aurora asked.
"Yes,"
"The Elder Gods never make mistakes so don't think about it much, I'm sure everything is okay," Aurora said.
"I know, I'm just worried about the humans, would they believe a demon Lord is there to kill them, what if they kill each other, or break into groups, I know it's still Nova Online but if they die it's over cause they'll be dead in real life"
"Last time humans had to face the demon Lord, thousands of humans died but he was defeated and sealed, I'm sure this time would be no different," Aurora said.
"Williams, you can go, and take everyone with you," Aaron said and William quickly walked away.
"Hey Aaron, it's already time" Aurora shouted as she looked outside the window.
A bright white light shone and enveloped the whole world and in an instant, 1 billion humans from all over the world went missing.

"Thank you," Alex said as he paid the driver.
Immediately he dashed towards his apartment, Melissa was seated outside of her house and her face lit up as soon as she saw him but Alex paid no attention to her and dashed inside.
Alex pushed the door open and saw his mum and his two sisters watching a show on the TV, Alex sighed heavily as his mind was settled now, he was afraid something bad had happened to his family.
"Melissa..." Alex mumbled as he rushed outside and saw her seating on a chair in front of her house.
"Melissa" Alex called as he walked towards her.
She turned her head and saw Alex rushing towards her, from the look on his face just now he was worried about something but now he had a totally different look on his face, she quickly stood up from the chair and approached him with a smile.
"You are part of the top 5 in Nova Online right?" Alex asked.
eαglesnᴏνel "Y-Yes, but why are you asking when you already know" Melissa mumbled in a low voice, Alex seemed different today because he was unusually tensed but she wasn't sure the reason why.
"Have you noticed anything strange today?" Alex asked.
"Today...is something wrong? Did something happen to the game?" Melissa asked.
"No, try thinking about your status page and see what happens," Alex said.
*Laugh*
Melissa chuckled slightly and slowly it turned into giggling and she used her hands to cover her mouth but Alex in front of her wasn't laughing or joking.
"Wait... wasn't that supposed to be a joke, we are in the real world why would I think about my status page" Melissa spoke still chuckling slightly, but the seriousness on Alex's face made her stop.
"If that's what you want it's no problem, but you better not laugh at me when I actually do it* Melissa said and closed her eyes for a second.
"I thought about it, nothing happened," Melissa said.
"You didn't," Alex said in a hoarse voice.
"How did you...fine it's not like something is going to..." Melissa stopped and immediately her legs turned wobbly and she fell on the snow.
"Are you okay?" Alex asked as he raised her from the ground.
"W-What is happening...w-we are in the real world right, how come I can see my status page?" Melissa asked.
'She isn't aware of what's going to happen, then the Elder Gods didn't inform them, I thought they were the chosen ones' Alex mumbled under his breath, immediately a white light shone and quickly enveloped both of them.
